Monopoly The Mega Edition Board!
The same classic board we all know and love PLUS 9 new properties including 7 new States!
Monopoly The Mega Edition Money!
Monopoly The Mega Edition is the first Monopoly game to include 1000 bills!
Monopoly The Mega Edition Speed Die!
Thanks to the new Speed Die, the game plays much faster! If Mr. Monopoly is rolled a player must go to the next un-owned space. This speeds up the pace at which properties are purchased. If all properties are already owned, a player must move to the next space requiring rent to be paid. The speeds up the bankruptcy process. So the gameboard is bigger – but the game actually plays faster!

Monopoly Mega Edition – A Monopoly Marvel!
Monopoly Mega Edition takes the classic board game to a whole new level, and it’s an absolute blast for both casual players and seasoned Monopoly enthusiasts. The bigger board, additional properties, and faster gameplay inject new energy into this timeless game. The inclusion of skyscrapers and bus tickets adds exciting strategic layers, creating a dynamic twist to the traditional Monopoly experience. However, the sheer size of the game board might be a bit overwhelming for some, especially if you’re short on table space.Despite this, the Mega Edition’s extended gameplay and strategic depth make it an engaging choice for game nights. It’s a must-have for Monopoly lovers looking for a fresh take on the classic board game. Get ready for a mega Monopoly adventure!

Extended Fun: Monopoly: The Mega Edition Promises a Lengthy Gameplay Experience
The Mega Edition is a fantastic twist on the classic board game that promises hours of entertainment for players of all ages. The larger board and faster gameplay inject new energy into the traditional Monopoly experience, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. While it’s true that the game can take longer to play due to the increased board size and added features, this only adds to the excitement and immersion. Players have more opportunities to strategize, negotiate, and compete, resulting in a truly epic gaming session.I particularly enjoyed the new elements introduced in The Mega Edition, such as skyscrapers and train depots, which added layers of complexity and strategy to the game. These additions kept me and my fellow players on our toes, making each round a thrilling adventure.Overall, Monopoly: The Mega Edition is a must-have for any board game

Great Gameplay, Exciting and Customizable Mechanics
Mega Monopoly Additions: One property of every color group plus one utility has been added to the board to make it a square of side length 13 (instead of 10). There are also a few new mechanics including a special third die, train depots, skyscrapers, and bus tickets. The special die allows you to roll and draw a bus ticket for later use or to roll a Mr. Monopoly which allows you to move to the next unowned property after you move the number shown on the two standard die. In this game you can build houses and hotels when you own all but one property in a color group, and can only build skyscrapers on a color group upon owning all properties of a color group. Bus tickets allow you to move to any place in front of your token on that side of the board in exchange for your turn.Gameplay: This version offers more strategy and less luck than the standard version of monopoly resulting in a higher level of interest. Overall this game is more fun to play because of the new mechanic of the Bus Ticket. This mechanic gives control to the player on where their next turn will take them. This allows players to get desired properties quicker and makes the game more exciting than the original.Aesthetics: Overall this larger monopoly board looks great and offers 11 starting tokens that are of high quality. The board folds up nicely and fits compactly into the box which is a little bulkier than your standard monopoly box. The new $1000 dollar bills are nice, and the houses, hotels, skyscrapers, and train depots look great.Customization: If you want to play a longer game of monopoly you could remove the mechanics which were added to the game by simply removing the “third” die. This special die contains one side to draw a bus ticket and two sides of Mr. Monopoly, which moves players to the next unowned property after completing your turn in regard to the two standard dice. Removing this from the game allows you to use the increased board size and starting funds without changing how the game plays in relative to classic monopoly. I have also attempted to replace the special die with another standard die. If you font enjoy the new mechanics they can be adjusted to address your issues. Personally, I remove some of the bus tickets when playing with 3 people because we often finished games before they completely ran out.

Changes Family Game Nights
Mega Monopoly is very different from many other different versions of monopoly and that is a good thing. With the extra spaces and new rules and a lot more interesting concepts this monopoly can be very fun and exciting especially if your family is very big on playing this game every other night.

Cool concept with adjustable game options.
The game concept is great. we use blue dice till first player chooses. Does make things interesting that’s for sure.Only thing we do not like is the cheap materials. too little 100$ bills. we played 10 times and barely use 1000’s . The property slides are really thin. I actually laminated ours. Not enough skyscrapers or houses in my opinion. We use ones from other sets. All in all we didn’t pay much for the game so I feel it was worth it. We have 4 different types and this is the one we play most.

Mega Monopoly
My main interest in the Mega edition was the speed play option and dice. As advertised, the board is bigger and has additional properties for purchase. When playing the speed version, all three dice are rolled. Obviously, this increases the amount of spaces moved with each turn, and there are special characters on the speed dice with differing functions. I managed to roll the monopoly character rather regularly, which allowed me to move to the closest purchasable property… Until all properties had been purchased. At that point, I had to move to the closest property for which I would owe rent to my opponent. This did speed up the game, as I ran out of money quickly! What I had not realized is the original monopoly has speed play rules in the directions. I had never bothered to look as I had learned how to play at an early age with adult oversight. So if the speed version is your appeal, perhaps check out the rules in the original monopoly and save a few bucks.I must say it is nice to have a new twist on an old favorite, and some crisp $1000 bills and new new property cards made the old, used monopoly look rather shabby.

Very thin board
Great game of course, really like the extra properties and addition of skyscrapers, as well as the speed dice. The only issue we have is that the game board seems very thin, and has actually began curling, which makes the houses/train depots slide off their respective properties. I will be permanently gluing the game board to a piece of plywood as a solution.

Great for fans of the original
I randomly stumbled upon this game one day, and being a huge fan of Monopoly as well as similar types of games, it immediately clicked with me. I heard this from some online forums claiming that with Monopoly being a terrible game, Mega Edition fixes seemingly every problem people may have with it. Of course, I ignored that first part, I was really just interested in trying out this game, the bigger board, and its new mechanics. And I was not disappointed in the slightest.I was able to gather together a group of 7 people, including myself, to test this out. Immediately it was apparent that the bigger would be better to support larger groups of players. The original game features 28 purchasable spaces, and this version has 36. It makes for more balanced games, giving everyone more property to work with, more money to deal with, and it becomes harder for a player to actually get a monopoly. In that sense, yes, it becomes a lot easier to get into. And I can back that up as a good 3 of the people I had been playing with, who originally hated the game, are now a lot more open to playing as long as we use this board. I was personally satisfied as this was a great expansion upon the original that did not fundamentally change how to play the game. Basically in the end, everyone was satisfied with this version of the game.Of other reviews of this game that I have seen, people seem to be complaining about two things – the time it takes to set up, and ‘customization’ because (apparently?) you can customize the board. I do not care at all for customizing the board, so if that scares you, just ignore it. I’m not even sure what they are referring to, but any kind of board customization is completely unnecessary. As for the set up time, it just takes as long as regular monopoly, and if you know how to do that efficiently, it takes 5 minutes.Overall, there is nothing I particularly find bad about this version of Monopoly. Everything is either an improvement or easy to overlook. Worst case scenario – just apply house rules so you can play how you want. I love, and I hope more fans of Monopoly get to experience this version.

Not always great for two players
My 11 year old and I have been playing Monopoly for years. Sometimes the whole family plays, but she and I seem to be the most competitive and can play a couple games a day on a snowy weekend when trapped inside! :)We have almost worn out our Disney version and Classic version. We were in dire need of a challenging, new version of Monopoly. I haven’t been happy with UBuild and other versions that veer to far away from the original Monopoly in my opinion.I read about Mega Monopoly and decided to give it a try. It is a refreshing change from the original Monopoly, and we’ve had fun with the new bus tickets, third die and guidelines to the game. However, we’ve noticed when just the two of us play, it gets kind of ridiculous once all the properties are owned. At this point in the game- when Mr. Monopoly is rolled on the third die, one must move to the first property on which they own rent. The tips in the back of the directions recommend setting up ‘speed bumps’ by mortgaging (and possibly unmortgaging) properties to direct your opponents to your most expensive and built up deeds. When it’s only the two of us playing- essentially we, of course, mortgage the lower rent options, and each keep up one color of the most expensive. This basically turns the game into a “I get Mr. Moneybags…get sent to your skyscraper on North Carolina and give you a ton of $$$…. then next turn you get sent to my Tennessee with a skyscrpaer and just pay me back almost the same $$$….” until someone doesn’t have the money and goes bankrupt. No, you don’t roll Mr. Monopoly every single time, but we do roll him often enough (rules say 1 out of 3) that it gets really redundant. We could try making a rule that no mortgages are allowed at this point in the game- but that wouldn’t really be fair.Anyway, I can see how this game might be more fun with more players, but once all properties are sold with only two players- it feels kind of silly. The game is fun, but we’re a little bummed.

The best version of monopoly other than Streets on Xbox 360
I love how big everything is and the implementation of the train depots work. You could bankrupt somebody on that alone. But skyscrapers are useless. Most game no one can even get to building them unless they own the brown and sky blue property. Also understand Speed Die before hand because arguments will happen once all property is owned and you or someone else rolls a Mr. Monopoly.

Great expansion to the classic Monopoly game.
This is the expanded classic Monopoly version. The added features both make for a more engaging and exciting game which is usually faster paced than the original version but has enough of the original version intact for traditionalist players to also appreciate.

Favorite Family Night game
I just ordered this game to replace the one we already have, as it’s falling apart from overuse!! This version of monopoly is the most exciting and engaging game we have played as a family and with friends. In the age of digital games and constant “screen time”, my boys (12 and 10) still love playing this with their friends, we have had groups of boys playing this for 2-3 hours at a time and having a great (though pretty loud!!) time. It also teaches kids strategy, math, some simple concepts of investment, and team play.We have implemented some of our own modifications to make it a bit faster though, for example, we only require that you have 2 houses to get a hotel, and 4 to get a skyscraper. We also add a $100 to “free parking” so whoever lands there will collect it. After playing a while, you can figure out which properties are the best investments and which ones are not worth it. And you can make your own modifications to the game to make it work for you. But regardless of how you play, this game promises hours of fun family time.

My family loves the game. Make sure you have enough room when starting the game, the board itself takes up most of our dining room table. It can make it difficult to find room to put your deeds so everyone can see what properties you own.

My favorite monopoly
I’ve played a lot of monopoly in my 23 years of life, but this version is by far the best and most interesting I’ve played. This is my favorite version of monopoly their is. My girlfriend and our friends can play this for hours on end with no worries at all. Just keep in mind the game board is pretty damn big. Takes up space on most tables. That’s what makes it freaking awesome. So many new elements of play. I recommend this to anyone that loves monopoly.

It’s Monopoly PLUS. More than just the additional properties. You have the speed die and the bus tickets. Plus, now you can put skyscrapers on the properties and depots on your railroads!!!The quality is good and it looks like someone put a lot of thought into this. Rules are well written and easy to understand. You can now build if you have 3/4 or 2/3 of an monopoly for each color. Good for early building and making your opponents pay!!! (I mean earning more money). If you like Monopoly, you will really like this.To John M. who said “1) The instructions aren’t written as a whole they just added the instructions for the new features to the front of the REAL instructions.” I do agree that a few points could be confusing (at the beginning it tells you each player gets $2500 to start but, the “standard” rules still say $1500). However, most people have played Monopoly before and just need to see what the differences are. It does say “Rules of Play Standard Edition (for your reference)”.It was also mentioned that the Chance/Community Chest cards were not updated. However, on mine the skycraper and train depot are added on them. So, maybe the very first one’s weren’t changed but they realized this and changed them.I think it is a great update to the original game and look forward to many games with my friends and family.

Component quality lacking
The board started to warp immediately after I opened it up, I attempted to flatten it with heavy books and it helped somewhat. There seems to be a lack of green houses and I think it messes up the flow and pacing of the game. Rule book could use more pictures and diagrams for example purposes. Some of the Mega Monopoly rules seem a little confusing and seemingly contradict the main game rules at times. I think overall the rule book could use another revision and should be written to accommodate the Mega Monopoly rules, and not just have it as an after thought.

We love this version!
It’s still not a quick game. We take on average, 2-3 hours to play, but we like the new features. This has a special die that makes things fun in the beginning but then the advantage it affords you takes a turn to disadvantage after all properties have been bought or auctioned off. We also like the sky scraper options. Tips we’ve learned through play: it’s not about Boardwalk and Park Place. Get those railroads and build depots. Get the utilities too…and have fun!!

Potential to be great but came up a little short.
Awesome game!My family and friends play it regularly. Its not perfect. We had to make changes to a few rules to keep the game challenging and fair. The bus ticket concept is great but it wasn’t fully developed. Playing with the official rules regarding the “Bus ticket” was just to powerful and cheap. Games were won quickly and it made the game lopsided too often. We decided to nerf its usage. The auction added great poker play to the game as long as property was still available. The rules surrounding the auction space when no properties were left to auction off was also under developed. That rule had to modified. The speed dice can be great when you ignore the added bus and monopoly man rule.We also felt that more community chess and chance cards should have been developed and added to the game to support all the new additions. The extra properties added to the game are great along with skyscrapers and depots. They could have added additional tokens also but nitpicking. After our adjustments were made we feel that we can never go back to playing the standard monopoly game.

As a family who loves this game, I stumbled across this searching for some replacement pieces to our old monopoly, houses are getting thin. I didnsome research & decided to go for it. We have a few other versions which we didn’t care for. This is the ULTIMATE monopoly. With 9 new states, a new utility, so new spaces plus a bigger board. The game got better with these improvements! The board is now 14 spaces wide instead of the 10 it previously was. Definitely puts a new get up in our game night. Well worth the money!

Monopoly lovers–this might be for you!
We are Monopoly lovers and have at least 30 different Monopoly games. My son’s new fiancee is also an ML, so I bought them this Mega Monopoly to try. At first, it seemed complicated so I let them figure it out. I joined in by the second game. The rules are slightly different and there are more properties as well as different cards (Bus, Mr. Monopoly) in addition to the standard Community Chess and Chance.I like the strategy involved, and I like the ability to be able to put houses on when a full monopoly isn’t owned (most monopolies now require the purchase of four, not three, properties. Houses can be put on if only 3 are owned). It’s not a short game, and true MLs might like it just for variety’s sake. My kids (6 of ’em ranging from 13-30) aren’t in agreement about whether they like the Bus cards, but the cards definitely add a new strategy to the game. The Mr. Monopoly (or is it Moneybags? I can’t remember) also make the game move faster.I’ve decided I like it as a change once in a while. The basic rules are the same, so there isn’t a huge difference. If you want to play without the bus or Mr. Monopoly/Moneybags cards, you can–so it’s not something which has to be done.If you like Monopoly a lot, I’d give this one a fair chance. Don’t just do what I did–look at the “new” rules and walk away. (I let my kids figure it out.) Play a few games of it. It’s NOT complicated–I made it seem that way in my brain. It’s fun with a slight twist. The only reason I didn’t give it straight “five star” ratings is that the game would have to be “perfect” and I haven’t found the perfect game yet. It is definitely educational because when played correctly, it involves a lot of thinking and planning. I didn’t give it a five-star durability rating because it’s Monopoly–the contents can definitely get bent and wrecked if the wrong people mess with it. This particular game is definitely up to the Monopoly standards–good quality paper, strong game board, etc. By the way, the board is larger than a normal board. We liked that!

we are hardcore Monopoly players and this has become our new favorite edition. It brings a new spin to the …
We were a little hesitant to get yet another edition of Monopoly. We have about a dozen different editions already. My three boys and I are addicted to Monopoly. In any case, we are hardcore Monopoly players and this has become our new favorite edition. It brings a new spin to the game by adding another level of buildings (skyscrapers and train depots), more money ($1000 notes, e.g.), and of course more properties (every set has one additional property – except the railroads). If you are not interested in playing forever, use the speed die which will help ensure that the game ends sooner rather than later once there are some developed monopolies on the board. Most of the game is well thought-out. There are a few exceptions, however. For example, there is a chance card that says to move to the next utility and roll the dice and pay the owner 10 times the number rolled. Well, if you own all three utilities, the rent is 20 times the number rolled. It seems like in fairness, the owner of three properties should get 20 times. We do not like that bus tokens can expire. I see the point…but it’s rather annoying. We’re debating whether or not to remove the cards that force all other cards to expire. We also think that the bus tokens should be reused – like Chance and Community Chest. Despite these anomalies, the game plays well and super fun. If you’re already a Monopoly addict, then this will be a lot of fun. If you’ve never played, you might want to start with regular Monopoly and then work your way up to this edition later.

A very good game even better than the original
My friends and i had recently started playing a lot of monopoly so i decided to spice things up by getting the mega edition. This has to be one of the best editions of Monopoly i have ever played. it adds so much to the game that the original game needed. first of all it came in perfect condition. all the pieces were there and there was no problems with it.After playing it a couple of times we found it quite enjoyable. the game moves much faster using the speed dice and you can easily go through a game or two in about an hour each. we did run into a couple of problems such as if you land on the auction house piece and there are no deeds left do you go to the space that you need to pay the highest rent to another player or if you own the highest paid rent do you go to your own space.but it was a simple solution of coming to a decision based on the way the rules were worded.besides that we didn’t have any other problems with the game itself and we all love to play it instead of the original so it was well worth it. I even got it for free by using amazon gift cards that i got online. if you want to get free amazon money go to this website to learn more […]i did have a problem with the shipping even though it does not concern the item itself i ordered it with super saver shipping which it said would be 5-9 days. it worked as planned except USPS never even tried to go to my house. it said that they attempted to deliver twice and we were not there but this is not true. instead they went straight to the post office and left it there and i had to drive there and pick it up. but besides that i did not have any problems with the product.
