Good looks and decent sound at low price
The Nylavee SK400 speakers are a good choice for anyone who wants desktop speakers for playing games or watching movies. They are easy to use with a variety of sources, simple to control with a big volume knob, and have some cool LED lighting modes as well.They come with built-in cables: one cable that connects the left speaker to the right, and a pair of cables that connect to a sound source and to a power source. These cables are not removable, but they have generous length – the speakers can be up to 36 inches apart from each other, and the right speaker can be as much as 48 inches away from the sound & power sources. In other words, the left speaker can be as much as 7 feet away from the source. This makes it possible to place these 3 feet apart from each other on a desktop, and run the source cables down to a computer under the desk. The sound cable plugs into a 3.5mm audio or aux port, and the power cable plugs into a USB type A port. The USB cable is for power only, not for digital sound. The sound cable is analog only, which means the sound source can be a computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, mp3 player – any device that has a headphone jack. In addition, the power source can be a power bank that has a USB port with 5V output. This makes these speakers able to be used in a variety of ways, but they are not built to be portable nor designed to be used outdoors. They’re not too heavy but they are not rugged or weatherproof.These speakers have a sound quality and loudness that is surprising for a mere USB power source. They have good stereo separation and a decent sound-stage as can be expected from their placement 3 feet apart. But with a simple turn of the big volume knob they can get loud, much louder than some near-field personal desktop speakers. I tested these in a large meeting hall and they filled the space with sound that could be heard throughout. At maximum volume level there was no more discernible distortion than at lower volume, and the sound was fairly balanced with no over- or under-emphasis on a certain frequency. These are not neutral studio-quality reference monitors by any means, but for what they are for this price, they are good enough for gaming or movies. The many other positive reviews here also indicate that these will not disappoint any reasonable expectations of sound quality.The icing on this cake is the cool LED lighting, which can be switched between several modes easily with the touch of a button on top of the right speaker. The button cycles between modes so simply keep pressing until you find the one you want. Some modes are colorful and static or dynamic, while other modes keep to only one of a few different colors, to complement the mood of the game or movie soundtrack. The lighting is bright, so that in a dark room they grab your attention. During movies they can be distracting when set on a mode with movement, but when set on a static mode they can provide some helpful ambient lighting. The zig-zag design of the LED is the same direction on both speakers, which would have been cooler if they went in opposite directions like a mirror image of each other. Maybe the next version of this model could be designed this way.Besides the brightness of the lighting and lack of symmetric design, these speakers don’t have much to criticize. They are meant to be stood upright, with little rubber pads on their bottoms to dampen vibrations, so they aren’t meant to lay on their sides. They stand vertically upright, with no angle in their design to direct the sound upwards from desktop to the listener’s ears in seated position. They have only one control knob, for volume – which has a nice feel, but there are no other controls for adjusting the sound. None of these are deal-breakers, just compromises that make these speakers simple to set up and easy to use with a variety of devices and power sources. Yet with their good sound and cool lighting, they are more than just your basic pair of desktop computer speakers. Overall, they are a good deal for the low price.

Unique addition to my desktop computer
I realize the market is absolutely flooded with different makes and models of these types of speakers. Nylavee is a brand I’ve never heard before, but then again, so are most of the other electronic brands here on Amazon.I’ve got this set of speakers set up on my desktop PC, and I have been using them for the past few days. Watching a few movies, but mostly music; I’m not a gamer, so can’t offer much of an opinion on how these work for gaming.So, first impressions, the speakers feel pretty nice. Fit and finish is good, they have a little bit of weight to them, so I’m assuming that means good sized magnets on the drivers, thinking they should sound pretty decent. There’s a nice big volume knob on the front, which I like, quick, and easy access to turn down in a hurry if needed.About these LED lights…they are actually kind of cool. At first, I assumed they would be gimmicky, something I turn on a couple times, and then just disable them forever. But they do give kind of a cool effect, and, watching movies in a dark room, actually provide some bias lighting.Getting to the number one point of the speakers, the sound quality, and honestly, it’s surprisingly good. I’m continually impressed with the sound quality of these types of inexpensive speakers you can get now, I’m old-school, it wasn’t that long ago a set up putting out this type of sound would’ve been cost much, much more. I don’t even want to tell you what I paid for my very first Altec lancing 2.1 PC system. These have better clarity. You’re not going to rattle your windows with bass, but at the same time you can turn the volume all the way up, fill the room and the sound, and not seem like you’re over driving the speakers.One of the more unique features, to me, anyway, is the way these connect. I would consider this set to be something you would set up on your desk and leave in place. They are powered by USB, which does open up the possibility of being portable with a power block or something like that. But this company actually makes smaller sound bar shaped speakers that would be more suitable if portability was a priority. The connection for your audio signal is an audio in jack, no Bluetooth. Any PC should have that connection, but also any portable audio device as it is the same connection that earbuds or headphones would use.So, all in all, I am impressed with the speakers for the price. They’ve got some unique features, but above all, they sound good, are well-built, and priced right.

Great computer speaker so far!
I spent some time before I wrote a review because I need to use it to find out if there are any sound or connection problems. Fortunately, it works well so far.I have used only two brand’s speakers so far, so I cannot compare these with other top-of-the-line products, but these are outstanding as well. I use them primarily for listening to music, and they are replacing a very good but not top-notch pair of wired computer speakers that I was using while listening to music at home. Compared to original computer speakers, the Nylavee SK400 is a bit less volume, but the sound quality is MUCH better, the RGB lights are very good, and the knob is a big convenience, as some buttons always made me confused on how to control the speakers. I formerly listened to music directly on my old computer speakers, which have very good sound quality, but the Nylavee SK400 speaker has much better sound quality.1. Sound – the sound quality is amazing. They might not be industry-leading, but they are amazing IMO. The entire sound range sounds so rich. These also have great sound stage, remain in good sound no matter what I’m watching and no matter where I’m in my room.2. Bass – From the page, they say there’s a deep bass, but there doesn’t seem to be much. Does it have the bass as the $300 Bose TV soundbar? Not enough. But it’s good enough for listening to music or for normal use on my computer.3. Connection – these just connect to everything without any hassle. I always had problems with my old Bluetooth speakers where I was constantly struggling to get them to connect. The plug-n-play function of Nylavee SK400 absolutely simplifies the process.4. Lights – it has six colorful lighting modes, and it will be colorful every time you turn it on, which is gorgeous. The colorful lights makes me feel good. Touching the light pattern at the top will switch lights, and holding it down for 2s will turn them off.5. Control – volume and on-off controls are all on a single knob. This is a more user-friendly control than the normal keystroke-type speaker. Two fingers can control everything. The only thing I want is to add the volume level on the knob to indicate the current volume.TLDR – I say if you are on the fence, just buy them. I always suspected that the quality was not up to my requirements before I purchase it. But I’m changed now LOL. Amazon provides a 30-day free return and the seller offers an 18-month warranty, which saved me a lot of worries. I am so happy with this purchase.

good product but you cannot sync the lighting up with your computers lighting scheme
they work well and I would definitely have a good sound quality to them. My only gripe is that they do not have a feature to sync up to your current light setting on your computer…but you just plug up and go with these otherwise. so if your not OCD and lighting isn’t that important to you then they a good set of computer speakers otherwise.

Solid for the price
Solid speakers for the price. The only downside I would say is that there is a slight hum when there is no audio being played but it wasn’t loud enough to bother me too much. Edit: The customer service was amazing and they even payed for me to get something to fix the problem I was having. Definite 5 stars just for that, never seen a company so generous and helpful.

Worked great for a week till i got shocked by them
these were great speakers till i went to adjust the volume and the speaker shocked my hand and now they do not work at all.Update:I was able to have a replacement sent and send the ones that no longer worked back and have had no issues with the new ones. I absolutely love that I was able to get this corrected and have been using the speakers every day with no issues.

Perfectly good speaker for your average user.
Easy to install. I’m no professional audiophile but the sound quality was fine for my purposes. I have never had any issue with background noise, buzzing, anything like that. I don’t need the colored lights, but I just turn them off. I’ve had these for over 6 months with no issues.

I love these speakers! I have used these for over 6 months now and really enjoyed it them! Original Post:Stopped working about a month of use for no obvious reason.It worked great. I wish the light staying on was optional.Knob doesn’t have a dot to know where they are. Also doesn’t give L vs R speakers volume change. Just both at the same time.Update: Apparently Windows 10 & 11 have a glitch where the aux port (either due to software or poor construction failed after a month’s use) and none of the troubleshooting windows recommends worked for it. My work around was to get a usb-c to aux adapter (thankfully my laptop has a usb-c port that works). Now only time will tell if the speakers last for me. If there fail within a year I’ll come back and give a final update.My conversation with Vivian from support@nylavee.net was very helpful figuring this out. If you have issues with your product I suggest you email them. Otherwise try using your speakers on a device with an aux port that you know works. She was ready to send me a replacement or refund when I brought up the issue but also wanted to help me find out what was the root issue which was refreshing. Thank you Nylavee Team!

Great Speakers, natural timbre
These Nylavee speakers have great sound: an even frequency response, full midrange, and no harshness or ‘edge’ in the high frequencies though sound quality (as always) is dependent on the quality of the input signal. Piano is a difficult instrument to reproduce over speakers w/o sounding hard or ‘glassy’ but has good, natural timbre with the Nylavees as I listened to Beethoven’s late piano sonatas (Igor Levit**). Turning off the Nylavee speakers via the knob sometimes creates static noises from the speakers. Adding a 50¢ capacitor to the circuit will stop this bothersome sound. Otherwise, very happy with purchase![Audiophiles: For better sound I use Amarra music-playback software instead of iTunes when playing music from my old Macbook Pro thru the Nylavees. The sound improves further when using a iFi Nano iDSD BL DAC/headphone amp instead of relying on the Mac’s internal DAC/headphone amp, which adds depth & clarity to music and lowers the noise floor; the Mac’s internal DAC/head amp sounds harsh by comparison. More improvement when both the Mac & iFi are powered via their internal batteries, instead of the Mac being plugged into AC wall outlet. And..music sounds still better with an Audioquest Jitterbug USB filter plugged into the Mac’s USB port but ONLY when powering the Nylavee speakRs, not when connected to the iFi DAC/headphone amp – the latter adding some hardness to the high frequencies. Using a Drok USB tester the Nylavee pair uses a minuscule 0.86 watts (total) when operating regardless of volume level or whether music is playing or paused.]**From 6min. 40secs to 8min. 45secs on cd #2, track 8 (of this 2-cd set) of Beethoven’s piano sonata No.32, movement II., is probably the earliest jazz music ever written. Yes…Beethoven wrote jazz!

The speakers themselves were just fine. I ordered an initial set of speakers that didn’t work, however, I emailed the company, Nylavee, and they responded by sending me a new set of speakers that worked fine. Those speakers arrived in two days and I didn’t need to send the initial set back. It was probably the easiest and most efficient time I’ve had with any customer service.

Slick looking pair of USB Speakers with RGB Lighting Effects
I needed computer speakers that didn’t take up too much desk space, preferably didn’t need their own separate power supply and didn’t sound tinny and this set popped up during a search. I’ll be honest I don’t personally really need the RGB lighting but it looks pretty cool and can be manually turned off via the touch button on top of the right speaker.So let me just get the caveat out of the way first. Whatever USB port you plug this into needs to be able to supply enough power of the speakers will sound very weak/quiet. I first tested these with a powerbank that only does ~500mA at 5V and they sounded terrible. Luckily before returning them I tested with the usb 3.0 ports on my desktop, there they sounded so much better. Given their relatively small footprint I didn’t go into this expecting massive bass, but I’m happy to say they have just enough to make me happy without overdoing it at the cost of mids and highs. They wont fill a large room, but they do get louder and fuller than you’d expect from their size.There is one thing I really don’t like about them though, if you change the RGB lighting mode (there are a few that change color and animation) and turn off the power it doesn’t remember the last used setting when powered back on. It’s kinda a nitpick I know since these are pretty much designed to just be plugged in and always powered but I thought it was worth mentioning. I also kinda wish they also had bluetooth and/or an additional audio input jack but I can forgive these added features given the price.Now for the things I like, they have a physical volume knob and it works as you’d expect (linear volume across the full range and it isn’t scratchy as you turn it). They were packed very well, no worries of them coming damaged in the mail. The USB/audio cables are decently long (~3-4′), more than enough for the desk I have them on either side of my monitors. They seem to be made well, aren’t hollow/light. I appreciate the nice velcro cable wraps they come with to tidy the excess cable (yay for no spaghetti jumble of wires shoved behind my monitors).So overall I’m pretty happy with these and while there are a few improvements that could be made to them they do their job well for the price. I would recommend this set of speakers for someone looking for something that doesn’t cost too much but also isn’t built too cheap.

Perfect Gaming Speakers
These speakers are awesome for gaming. I am not an audiophile or anything, but I am very happy with these speakers. I actually have them hooked up to my TV. They look awesome, and they sound much better than the TV’s audio.What is really important about these speakers is that they do NOT have a power saving mode. Why is this important? Because if you are playing a game that has quiet scenes, for example, and open world game where you are in a quiet forest or any other place where its quiet and there are ambient sounds. speakers with power saving will enter power saving mode, and the audio will be muted. wind, and rustling grass or footsteps are not enough to wake up most speakers. its extremely frustrating. especially when you buy expensive speakers and they have this power saving “feature”.These speakers do not have a power saving mode, so they never go quiet during a quiet scene. its actually hard to find speakers without this feature now. very happy that i found these speakers, they are a good price, and they look awesome!

Looking to declutter while having decent sound? Consider these speakers!
I’ve been using 2.1 speaker setup for a long time. I was growing tired of the clutter of all the wires from 2 speakers, sub woofer, and separate plug for a power source. This was a good alternative for me. Just plug in usb power source and a 3.5mm jack. If you are looking for deep, rich, thumping bass to enjoy your music, this may not be the set up for you. This is not to say that it does not have any; just don’t have high expectations in the bass department. These speakers hit all my checkmarks for me: decent price, better performance than I would expect from a cheap set, less clutter, good range of mids, highs, and OK lows. Perfect for for web browsing, watching videos, streaming movies, and some gaming.

Great for the price!
Speakers look great once they’re hooked up. I’ve been using them for about 6 months so far and have had zero issues. Sound quality is far from high end BUT they have more than exceeded my expectations for the price point. The speakers are convenient for a variety of uses while hooked up to my pc-taking calls, playing games, listening to music, etc. Sound is typically clear and balanced. There’s been a few times that there is a slight buzz but I’ve taken the cord out and plugged them back in and the issue resolves.

Great price for great speakers
These speakers were the perfect addition to my set up. The sound is great and the RGB lights are smooth and VERY beautiful to look at. The setup is easy and the volume knob is responsive and quiet. I’ve had other speakers where the knob is either squeaky or sounds like a ratchet. The sleek design is simple with a matte black finish. This brings all the attention to the beautiful RGB design on the front is customizable to solid colors or the rainbow stream effect. The speakers don’t force a power source from the wall, opting out for a simple USB connection to the pc, console or brick if you prefer. I only wish the sound output was shared with the USB cable instead of using the old 3.5mm connection but that is not a matter of function, just a matter of taste. The sound is clear and really loud for their size especially in a smaller room. Decent lows for not having a powered subwoofer and crisp highs. Only a small amount of distortion at full volume on the knob and from sound source. Overall, the speakers are a good set for the price. They look good, they sound good and are reliable.

Way better than I expected
I’m gonna start with the cons: Needs to be plugged in by both cords in order to function, has a high pitched ringing when volume is turned up higher (there may be a fix for that), cords are shorter than they should be.Pros: Very light (which I thought was a bad thing at first), very high quality sound even with volume at max, light functions are cool, easy to use. Very happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic speakers at a reasonable price!
I was looking for a fairly inexpensive set of computer speakers for my very modest apartment setup. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much for speakers in this price range, but these perform very well.1) They’re gorgeous. The lights are easy to adjust, or easy to turn off if I’m not feeling it at the moment. And the design fits well into my limited desk space.2) They are easy to install. Literally plug and play. And the fact that it uses a standard headphone jack is awesome. I can switch their output over to my phone if I need to, a handy feature if you’ve got music on your phone that you don’t have on your desktop.3) They sound great. If you’re looking for something with enough power to knock your socks off in a large room, then you’re not looking for speakers in this price range. But what I can say is that these are plenty loud for my modest setup, and could even see them filling a much larger role given that I don’t even use them at full power. And when they do get turned up for music, the sound quality is nice.Look no further. If you’re checking out reviews on this product, then it means you’re interested. You will not be disappointed.

Very good quality at a low price
I recently bought these speakers because my last pair broke down on me and I didn’t have a lot of money like that at the time and once I saw these at a low price, I decided to get them and it was an upgrade for me big time.The sound quality of the speakers are great and exceeded my expectation and makes it enjoyable to watch movies through my desktop and now I often play music through the speakers and they make my whole room a vibe. The sound quality is very clear and crisp!The design of the speakers upgrades my setup big time and makes a huge change, especially with how there are 6 different LED lights that gives my setup more of its own personality and overall the design of the speakers is very slick and makes my setup look clean.Setting up the speakers for my pc is very simple and easy. I did not have a hard time at all setting these up and the wiring isn’t all over my setup or making a mess but was easy to make the speakers fit in my setup very quickly.Overall these speakers are a great addition to my setup and recommend these to anyone that want to get speakers at a low price with very good quality!

My 23 year replacement!
Since I’m not abusive of my equipment…?My old computer speakers finally gave out–after buying them in 1998: In 2021.Finding these speakers (for $42 plus change)…? Is an *incredible* find and a bit of luck.I know some people go for the top of the line models and the most *expensive* brands…?But these were more than adequate for my music needs on YouTube.The only problem I have…? Is figuring out the LED light functions on the speakers! lolIt’s a new thing for me to play with and it will take awhile to get it right.But these speakers are worth it–for a budget-friendly accessory and easy on the ears.I would recommend them in a heartbeat. 🙂

Great Budget Speakers for Desktop Setup
I was looking for a new pair of speakers for my work from home set up and these were the one that I decided to get.Design:Sleek black design with LED light running across the bottom from left to right. Silver turn knob to control volume located on the bottom of the left facing speaker. Nylavee logo is located in the same area of the right facing speaker. LED colors with a rainbow spectrum from a cool blue and purple to a hot red and yellow.Sound:Crispy punchy dynamic sound adds a level of grandness to the scale of these headphones. Almost has a movie theater quality to these headphones. Music comes through clear. You will find yourself being able to hear instruments and vocals with more texture than most other speaks. I think the bass and drums could be more dynamic, but that is my only critique as far as the music goes.

Solid speakers
I had gone through a couple pairs of speakers from Amazon that I bought, tried, was unsatisfied by, and returned. Pretty frustrating. These are the speakers that I ended up keeping. Great sound quality, great clarity, and the design is nice too, I love the colors and the color control option. You know what I also liked about these? They had the longest cord between the speakers of all the brands I tried. I have a big desk, so putting speakers on either end demands either a costly custom setup or just a longer cord, and these had the best.Cons: Cord could still be longer and I wouldn’t mind, and the volume seems like it gets to its max loudness around 75% of the dial turn, and doesn’t increase much between 75-100. But I don’t use it at that level anyway so it’s not a huge deal.I would definitely recommend these speakers.

Good quality budget speakers
Good speakers can set you back a pretty penny, but I found this set to be a good budget-friendly option for casual users.I’m a big fan of easy setup, and you can’t beat these for ease. There’s a 3.5mm audio jack for your device, and a USB cable for power. You can plug it into your PC or use a separate AC adapter to power them up and get them ready to go. The audio jack means that anything with a headphone or audio output can plug right into this. (Sorry Bluetooth users, these are cords-only speakers.)The volume is controlled through a knob on the right speaker. I much prefer this to touch controls; it’s easier to fine-tune the volume and a lot less fiddly.A touch pad on the top of the right speaker controls the RGB lighting. You have a default rainbow scroll, RGB strobing through the spectrum, RGB pulse fades through the spectrum, solid red, green, or blue lights, and no lighting options. I do wish there were solid options for varied tones (I love my teal or purple!).When it comes to sound quality, my feelings are mixed. Overall, as an entry level, budget-friendly option, these absolutely fit the bill. You’ll get good quality dual speaker audio that enhances portable electronics and laptops. However, if you’re looking for a very wide range of crisp treble and heavy bass, this won’t fit your needs. These speakers manage good overall quality, but miss out on very high and very low ranges – but again, it’s a tradeoff with the price range being very affordable.My biggest gripe is the cord length. Three feet of length isn’t NEARLY enough to get from my desktop chassis to my monitor. So while these are fine for laptops, gaming systems, and smaller desktops situated near your monitor, there’s no way to get the most out of these by using them with a desktop rig that’s larger and farther away from your display.Overall, if you’re looking for a budget friendly set of speakers that light up and offer a solid range of audio, these fit the bill quite nicely.

Great budget speaker
I’ve been in the market for speakers for my gaming PC for a while because I don’t always want to wear my headphones. These speakers are great value for the price and I am very satisfied with my decision to purchase these. There are definitely a lot of options available, but you can’t go wrong with the sound quality these possess. The LED light adds an additional element to your setup, and I can finally enjoy my games without the discomfort of wearing bulky headphones for hours at a time. They plugged in and worked straight away, and you can mess with your personal sound settings to adjust your preferences. I’m glad I went with these and all the positive reviews accurately represent the kind of product you’ll receive.These are the first pair of speakers I have ever owned throughout my 10+ years of owning a gaming PC and everything else is seriously overpriced. You are getting a great bang for your buck with these at original price, let alone if you could find a decent deal. I grabbed these during Prime day on July 12th, I genuinely feel like I got a STEAL with this product. I’m sure for those who have money to spend you can find something ‘better’ for a higher price, but you cannot beat these for $50. 5 star ratings all around. I have not had to deal with customer support for any kind of issue yet, but will update if that time comes.

Amazing Quality for a Great Price
I bought these speakers 4 months ago and with them being in use constantly I have had no problems with them at all. They were really easy to set up and get started using them. The lighting is nice and easy to change by a press of a single button.The sound quality you get when using them is crisp and clear. While not as good as some headphones when playing games you can distinguish quite clearly what and where you are hearing things from. The speakers volume can get decently loud at max which is good since you usually can’t tell with speakers in this price range if you are going to get good volume.Overall you are not going to find a much better deal than what you are getting with these speakers that has this quality and is reliable enough that you will not have to worry about breaking down on you after a month of use. If I ever need some speakers for something else I will order these again.

[EDIT:] The company did reach out to me and offer a full refund for my defective item after I posted the review, for the great customer service I bumped it up a star.Bought these speakers bc my Asus monitor doesn’t have any internal speakers, and I didn’t want to use my laptop’s speakers since the sound would be coming from a weird direction while I game. Well I’ve had them for about 2 months and I’ve run into the CONSISTANT problem where the right speaker will randomly stop working. It’s still on, and it’s still lit up, but no sound will come out of the speaker. The only way I seem to “fix” the problem is to restart my laptop.
