THE O3 PURE ECO LAUNDRY SYSTEM
The latest generation in Ozone Washing
The O3 Pure uses the natural cleaning powers of O3 or Ozone to clean your laundry more effectively and safely than soap, detergent or older ionic wash units. This technology has been used for years in commercial applications across the U.S. Our O3 Pure Eco units are both CE and RoHS compliant.
Ozone laundry units have been around for decades, but were too large, expensive or unreliable for household use. Our current model widely used within the European Union, is now designed to work within any American household, with washers of any make and model. Cold water is directed through the O3 Pure System. An ozone generator converts O2 (regular oxygen) into O3 (ozone) which is mixed and diffused into the water for your washer. The colder the water, the more effective it cleans. The ozone works by breaking the molecular bonds that hold dirt and grime to your clothes while oxidizing most of this material into carbon dioxide and water. Afterward any remaining ozone converts back into regular oxygen. What you are left with are clean clothes and linens free of any smells, dirt and grime or chemicals. Simple to use and extremely effective. The O3 Pure Eco Wash doesn’t require any maintenance, cleaning or additives. These next generation O3 Pure Wash Eco Laundry Systems will work with all washers including High Efficiency Front and Top Loaders and all Standard washers. Units work with both hard and soft water.
How It Works
The O3 Pure can be installed in about 10 minutes by the homeowner. No specials tool are required. A quick mounting template, handy screwdriver and an extra laundry hose are included. The cold water hose is attached to the unit and the included extra hose is attached to the washer. Our O3 Pure Laundry System automatically senses when your washer calls for water and the unit is only on when water is being ran thru the system. Our units are equipped with a German Engineered Oxidizing Unit to create ozone as well as a UV Photo Catalytic Oxidizer. As water is passed thru the venturi injector, it draws that ozone into the water. Our newest units also come with a quad check valve system to prevent leaking. The ozonated water then flows thru a diffusion mixer and highly ozonated water is delivered to your washer. No maintenance, cleaning, cartridges or additives are required.
The O3 Pure System is as simple and eloquent in function as it is in design. Once installed, the unit requires no further fuss. After each wash cycle, the ozone produced will naturally convert back into O2 or regular oxygen in a short amount of time. This leaves no odors or byproducts and requires no regular maintenance. If service is ever needed, all components are replaceable, are designed with plug in connections, stainless steel screws and nothing more than a screwdriver is required in replacing them. This provides you with a system that can be used for many years to come.

Works better than what I expected and cleans my clothes well.
The unit works well and gets my clothes clean and seems to get my whites nice and bright. The only downside is I have a large washer and it will error out since it takes longer to fill with water since the ozone generator does not have the same water pressure coming out of the unit. It is not hard to get around but if you have a large high efficiency top loader you may run into this. My thought to fix this problem was to get two units and put them in parallel but at $300 a pop I can live with hitting a button during the filling cycle. On the plus side I live in California and are going through quite a drought. I am now watering my lawn with the drainage since I do not use detergents anymore and it is working out well. The ozone dissipates quickly and is not hurting my lawn at all. The unit is bigger than I thought from looking at the picture but it has been working like a charm and I love how my bedding and clothing is detergent free. If you have sensitive skin this may be something to help you decide if you want to invest in it. Not having to heat the water is a nice thing as well so you save some energy there. I have run at least 40 washes through it and have not had any issues other than my washer giving me an error that it was not filling up as fast as it was expecting. Installation was very, very simple. One thing I did notice was that Eddie Bauer clothing seems to have an issue with ozone as the dyes in their pajama pants seem to fade (almost like bleach) but I have not seen this in any other brand of clothing so I just wanted to throw that out there. If you have heavily soiled laundry you can boost it with detergent but for regular laundry I like the disinfecting power and clean soft feel it gives my clothing and bedding.

Simply amazing!!!
This unit is amazing! I have a first generation Maytag front loader. I was about to replace the washer because I was fed up with the persistent mildew smell in my “clean” clothes. I had to bleach every load of whites and wash the darks with an in-wash scent booster to try to cover up the smell of mildew in fresh clothes (even after running the “freshen up” procedure in the washer). A friend told me about the O3 Pure Eco after he bought one, and my only regret is that I didn’t find out about it sooner. Now I only use cold water to wash laundry, and there is no mildew smell in the clothes or washer. The savings are really adding up now that I am no longer buying detergent, bleach, or in-wash scent boosters, AND the clothes are clean! This machine is an absolute miracle! About me: I work in a refinishing shop, and I am covered in dust from head to toe when I get home. This machine cleans the clothes, the washer, and leaves everything smelling fresh. I pile dirty/wet dish rags in the utility tub to be washed at the end of the week. As you can imagine, the rags reek when they go into the washer; however when they come out they are laundry fresh! You will need to replace the plastic hose that comes with the unit. The plastic hose leaked all over, but after replacing it with a stainless one from Home Depot, there are no more issues. Customer service at this organization is top notch. The plastic casing around the electrical plug was cracked upon receipt. I called customer service and received a return call within 24 hours. A new cord was sent in the mail with a postage paid return envelope for the defective part without a hassle. I have had this unit for over a month (purchased through Amazon), and I love it more with each passing day. I would highly recommend the 03 Pure Eco to anyone interested in clean clothes and saving money.

Excellent product
We have been using the O3 Pure for a little over three weeks and have done about a dozen loads of laundry. The clothes have gotten softer the more they were washed and dried. A pair of my wife’s slacks that used to come out all wrinkled are now coming out almost winkle free. She is very pleased with the O3 Pure system. The white towels are coming whiter and softer. A shirt of mine that usually needs ironing came out looking ironed and was wrinkle free. The unit was extremely easy to install. Installed in less that fifteen minutes. Part of that time was gathering tools. I see no problem with the plastic hose fittings, because my washer has plastic was well. Do not have to worry about corrosion issues. No issue with leakage after hook-up. Have no idea as to why other people have issues with installation. We have not been using washing detergent nor bleach. We try to be as ECO friendly as possible and the O3 Pure helps to accomplish that goal even more.A stain remover is only used when something is very stained. A stain was in my wife’s night gown and she forgot to use a stain remover. The stain came out anyway to our surprise. The little bit of O3 that is in the air is a refreshing odor.I would recommend the O3 Pure to anyone who is looking to have clean, fresh smelling laundry and are looking to cut down on pollutants (even those products that say ECO friendly). We only wish that we had discovered the O3 Pure when it first came out.

Seems to work but don’t sit and watch it.
I installed this and a brand new washer in the same day HE version of both. Being happy with my new toys I sat there and watched basically a whole load from start to finish. Why? I don’t know I just liked watching the bubbles go with the blue light and the front load in action. It seems to do the job I have been using less detergent I now fill the little cup up to one instead of two or three line. But the one negative effect I noticed after watching the wash I went to pick up my kid from school and while in the car I noticed I had a weird taste in my mouth almost metallic, and I already knew ozone was not healthy for you to inhale no matter what the description of this product states. So I went online and did a little research and sure enough one of the signs your being exposed to ozone is a metallic taste in your mouth. So I would say if your going to buy this item only buy it if you can spend a minimal amount of time in your laundry room… or you like the taste of metal that can lead to asthma etc. Me, I am still weighing the benefits of using less detergent to me not being able to fold clothes in the laundry room anymore for fear of my health. So basically the reason I give this three stars is because either A. It is not sealed well enough for the gasses not to leak out in the air, which could be wrong the gases could be leaking out through the wash, but more importantly B., and I read this while researching on the internet that most washers that have ozone installed are required to have an ozone sensor so you know when the ozone levels are high enough to pose a threat to you. I feel that this item being an ozone generator should of for the customers safety been installed with a sensor of the sort. And for those who say it does have an alarm the alarm with it is only for water leakage.

Spectacular! I’m an ozone laundry expert: these things really work! A revolution for your laundry!
Spectacular! Totally eliminates smells and makes your older clothes like new again! I would not recommend totally eliminating soap though. You should eliminate all bleach (bleach and ozone cancel each other out) and you won’t need any fabric softener. However, you will need a little soap to help dissolve grease and hard-to-remove dirt and get it down the drain. Amazing sanitizing and deodorizing and cleaning power! I have sold the most advanced commercial ozone laundry systems available for more than 25 years and I know how incredibly effective ozone is for hotel and hospital laundry but I never dreamed that a residential-type unit would really work. Boy, was I wrong. I finally broke down and purchased one of these units and I was absolutely convinced that they work on the very first load because I know what to look for. Amazingly, this unit puts almost as much ozone in the water as my industrial-grade systems do (systems that cost $30k). The drawback of these units is that the water is treated slowly. It takes much longer to fill the washer. The reason is that the water and the ozone bubbles must be in contact with each other for the ozone gas to dissolve into the water where it will work at washing linen. The longer the bubbles are in contact with the water column, the more ozone gets dissolved into the water – so you CAN’T rush it! That’s just the way it works if you want it to work right! It cannot be overstated how well these things work. I am not sure how long they will last but so far, it works great!

An upgrade versus the older models
I had an ozone system (not from O3 Pure) that was great for a year but then stopped working correctly. It was sent in for repair several times but still didn’t work right. Also during that time I bought a new HE washer. I think one issue was that the design worked with older washers (non-HE and HE models according to the company) but not the newest HE washers that use even less water. Instead of sending it in for repair yet again, I purchased this model. The first thing I noticed is even with my very miserly Samsung top load HE washer it infuses the water with enough ozone to produce that fresh rain smell and get the clothes clean. You still need to pre-treat stains and I use detergent on occasion, but for most loads I do not add anything. One item to note, the old machine had a magnetic water softener built in. My water is not too hard but is not soft either. The clothes were okay but items like bath towels and washcloths were a bit stiff. I corrected the issue by installing a magnet set on the water line.So far I am very happy with the unit. The laundry comes out clean and my septic system is probably better off without all that detergent. Cost wise, I think I at least broke even with the old unit considering the cost of detergent and propane (hot water tank). There have been a number of improvements made since my prior purchase so I am hoping this one lasts longer.

I want to keep using it, but I can’t.
First of I loved this product and miss it. It worked great at removing odors and leaving clothes feeling softer than they ever have.I have a bad tendency of soaking my workout clothes in sweat then leaving them in a bag all day until I get home. Some of my shirts had a permanent odor, but that was all gone in a single wash… It was amazing. The clothes literally had no smell…which is weird to say but an important point. After we confirmed it was truly taking the scent down to nothing, we started adding fabric softener for the “good” smell. The reason for 3 stars and my not using the system anymore is some of my clothes started to fade. Not many…just a select few. Bed sheets, towels, and maybe 2 or 3 shirts out of a 100 that had all gone through the system for 6 months. They didn’t fade all at once but very gradually look like a very diluted bleach was used.Unfortunately I am afraid it may eventually happen to the rest of my clothes so I stopped using it. Now my clothes do not feel as good.Does anyone have a solution for this? I still have the unit on the wall just not hooked up and I would rather go back to using it. I thought maybe the ones that faded used an organic stain but I haven’t found any proof of that one way or the other.

Amazing
Amazing product. This really works. Think about the power of oxygen in medicine (oxygen therapy, etc.). Other products (such as OxyClean) attempt to incorporate the power of oxygen by adding compounds to your wash cycle. Well the O3 Pure Eco Laundry System accomplishes all it advertises while adding no harmful compounds or detergents to our earth’s water ecosystem. Since we purchased and installed this system, we washed 25-30 loads over the last few weeks and not one complaint. I use no detergent, no bleach, no fabric softener, no hot water….ever!!! This device pays for itself, then saves more and more money with each use. And what a time saver! No need to go to the store for bottles or boxes of harmful chemical compounds. No hauling them back or storing them in a limited laundry room space. No measuring of product or running out. No more trashing or recycling containers. No need to take time to sort whites from colors. Just grab an armful of mixed clothes and drop ’em in your washer. Set your wash and rinse cycle to the coldest cycle possible. Even the rinse cycle becomes a second wash cycle since there are no additives rinse out. This is a win, win, win product. It saves time, space, and money. Other than the initial cost, electricity is the only expense. But since this product generates no heat, and only cycles when the washer is calling for cold water, it can’t use much electricity. The manual states that this device should last up to 10 years. We’ll see. But as for initial impressions…this product is awesome. Don’t hesitate any longer. Buy this now! Seriously.

This is the one you want
I waited a long time to write this review because I wanted to know if this would work, and how well this would work in any condition. We installed this about six months ago and have put hundreds of loads through it since then. We have a front loading washing machine, and we use this with a custom built wash cycle that uses cold water only but is otherwise similar to the machine’s “normal” cycle.1. Cleanliness of the clothesThey are as clean when washed using this product and no detergent as I have ever had with any combination of washer and detergent. Clothes come out clean and odor free. Some of the hype about these machines is that they push ozone into the fabric which leads to clothes that dry faster and are fluffier, this is not observably true for us. But they do come out clean and dry normally. So maybe this doesn’t improve on the standard method, but it certainly doesn’t detract.2. Really, no detergent?Yeah really, no detergent. You can of course use detergent if you want to/have heavily soiled clothes. No one is going to come to your house and stop you…I think. But we haven’t used/bought detergent in 6 months and that’s probably permanent for us. I did a cost analysis (because I’m a geek) and this device easily pays for itself in 2 years by saving you on detergent. Even if it goes belly up after that, I’d absolutely replace it because it does actually save the environment, and money, whichever of those is important to you.3. Saves the environment? Do tell..Well let’s start with the bottles of detergent. I always recycled mine, you do as well, but you know what’s better than recycling what you consume? Not consuming it in the first place. No chemicals or dyes or manufacturing waste to enter the waste stream, no oils or carbon footprints in the production of bottles or soaps, and no water footprint used in making liquid detergents. That’s all eliminated using this. Bonus, if you are on a well/septic system like we are, this devices returns clean (ish) water back to that system. We vented ours to a new line which we ran to the leech fields. Since there is only organic run-off this is a perfectly acceptable solution. You could spend big on biodegradable soaps, or you could just eliminate them.4. Cold water only? How does that work in winter?Yes cold water only, and yes it works in winter, in northern NY where we spend a majority of winter below freezing, and several days in a row below zero. This system still works fine in these conditions even with painfully cold water running through the system. Although we do have a hot water line available to warm up the wash water should we find it needed, we haven’t yet and, contrary to what they tell you on Game of Thrones, winter is almost over here.5. InstallationYeah I paid a guy $85.00 to do that for me. Seemed worth it to have someone else to blame in case water shot all over the place. I could have done it myself because it requires little more than connecting rubber hoses to nozzles. So you can save $85.00 and do it yourself no problem, but then you won’t have anyone to blame if the laundry room looks like your kid’s were reenacting the final scene in “Carrie” with water.6. MaintenanceAside from the regularly scheduled filter changes (see installation and maintenance guide) this thing just goes about it’s business just as you would want it to.7. Rashes and irritationMy family has extremely sensitive skin. Every winter all four of us would break out in rashes from dry skin. Little red bumps, nasty stuff. We tried switching soaps, using lotions and oils, eliminating all perfume and fragrance, etc. We didn’t buy this because of our sensitive skin, but I can report that all of the dry skin problems we used to experience in winter are gone and I suspect that not using detergents in our laundry has at least something to do with it. Though this may be confirmation bias, or a classic causation versus correlation issue. Who knows?8. Cool factorIt is a blast to watch people’s mind slowly explode as you explain to them that you are washing your clothes with science instead of chemicals (which I know chemicals are science, John, I know that. Don’t be that guy John, ok? ok? Just be cool) And as a bonus this unit has a blue light that comes on whenever the water flows through the chamber and it just looks like something the Jetson’s would have had. I mean it scores huge on the cool factor.9. Take awayI read endless reviews and articles about this technology and the reality and feasibility of this technology before I bought this system. I’m a hard-core internet researcher when it comes to products and the like. If you are considering whether this is real or hype, or whether or not this is the right unit for you, here’s what you have been looking for. This thing works exactly as they say it does. It saves you money and the environment, you get clean clothes, less skin irritation, seriously, just buy it. This is the model you want too. I looked at every available model through many sources and this one has the features and components you want. Go ahead and blame me if I’m wrong (I’m not though.)

Be green and saves time and money!
The ozone allows us to do all our wash in cold water, with little or no detergent. (We have not yet found the need to add any detergent)… and besides a clean wash, ozone disinfects better than bleach. So the advantages we found are:- Saves time: No need to run separate loads for whites, colors, or wool.- Saves money: no need for detergents or hot water.- Disinfects better than bleach (probably why hospitals use it)- Gets odors out of synthetics better than usual detergent- Good for the environment in that washer discharge contains only water, no detergents or phosphates which can pollute water and cause algae blooms.Initially we were a little concerned about breathing some ozone, which you can smell while doing the wash. BTW, ozone occurs naturally from lightening storms which produce it. While we do not find the smell of ozone unpleasant, (it smells fresh, a little like a scented fabric softener to us), ozone is not supposed to be all that healthy to breathe. The good news is that over a relatively short period of time, it breaks down into oxygen, which of course is very healthy to breathe. Supposedly, the ozone laundry system is safe for use in the home, even if people are in the same room while it is running. However, as an extra precaution, we close the door to the laundry room and enter it 30-40 min after the wash is done, in which time the ozone breaks down into oxygen and there is little to no residual smell of ozone left in the air… just clean fresh air.We did hear that the ozone system does not work that well if you have high concentrations of iron in your water, so if that’s you, think twice about getting such a system. So if this sounds good to you, maybe do a little investigation of your own to make sure it’s right for you and your family. That’s what we did, and we are quite pleased with the system.

Pure when cold.
Ok, I’ve had this for a few months… and I’ll say I’m fairly happy with it. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it says, but I’m only “fairly happy” because of the way it works isn’t conducive to where I live, and some bleaching. So, yes it bleaches items. That’s what it is… more clearly it oxidizes things, and does what hydrogen peroxide would do, conventionally bleaching. What I did notice was that it tended to bleach items that had their colors not washed before, or not set fully. So here’s my suggestion, wash new items in hot water first, then wash with the O3 water on cold. When it works, it actually leaves clothes smelling oddly fresh. Like there’s no soap, there’s no scents, only water; so how does my clothes actually smell good? Magic apparently. I can’t explain it. It has a slight ozone smell, but after that fades, it smells like fresh linen…Now my biggest problem, and the main take away from owning one of these, you CANT use hot water, at all. You can’t even use warm water at all. The oxygen is dissolved in the water, like carbonation is dissolved in your soda (seriously.) Warm water doesn’t let gasses, like oxygen or carbon-dioxide, stay dissolved in it. So in order to have high concentration of oxygen to clean the clothes, it has to be cold… best if it’s refrigerated, like a soda.(Yes, soda under pressure can be warm but once removed from the can the gasses will condense out of it as quickly as it can. Unless you’ve cooled it first.)During the winter, this system worked great for me. Water is cold from the tap, and oxygen is dissolved in the water well. But during the summer, in the Mojave desert, even the tap water gets warm… like “I would enjoy a soak in this warm water” warm. As the summer approached, my clothes and sheets didn’t smell “as good”… uh oh… the water is too warm for this to work anymore. To solve this, I’ve kept using the cold water, but I’ve added a single thing of detergent. There’s “enough” oxygen dissolved to do a good amount of disinfectant work, and the soap should cut through the rest. So, for me, it’s not a magic bullet… however it did cut my detergent use down to only during the summer. Minor bleaching effect can be mitigated if you remember about it with new items. If you live in a cold climate, or have cold water all year round, you’re in luck. You can literally stop buying detergent with this… which is good if you want to stop polluting the water table with soaps, want less chemicals on your skin, and want actually ^disinfected^ clothes.Soap doesn’t disinfect or kill germs, it just helps remove them by making water able to release them. Ozone breaks down the cell walls of germs and bacteria, and destroys them, not just killing them… it’s as good as bleach at disinfecting, but without (always) destroying colors. However, the upfront cost is the biggest bug for me. How many loads of laundry can you do, adding the cost of heating the water and the soap use, to match the upfront cost of the unit? Probably a few years worth. At about $0.25 a load for detergent, and lets say $0.25 for heating water also… that’s about 600 loads, for me 4 loads a week, that’s just under 3 years of laundry (probably a lot more depending on the water heating costs, or less depending on how much laundry you do, also depending on the price you get the system at.)

It works
Installing this device was simple. That may not be a fair thing to say because I am a plumbing service contractor in business for 42 years so things like connecting the 03 Pure is a simple task for me. The included screwdriver I suppose could be useful if everything was textbook simple. The instruction “card” to set the mounting screws in the proper place is possibly the best I have seen. Stiff and the same size and shape as the unit make putting it in a place that fits simple. Now for the best part. In a front loading machine there is an ongoing problem with mold growth and smell in the front rubber seal inside of the door. That is now gone. I mean clean as brand new! The cloths are as clean as any detergent I have ever tried. With our utility costs in California are rising daily, this 03 Pure uses cold water only saving money by not having to use hot water or soap. I have always had to use hot water plus steam to clean my work clothes. As I was sceptical of this product, my first load of laundry was a bunch of extremely dirty rags from my work truck. Expecting the rags to be “rinsed” and no way clean, I was amazed to see the rags cleaner than when I use hot water, the steam feature and a bunch of detergent plus stain spray. No it did not remove rust stains but it was impressive how clean and odor free the rags were. And after rags I normally have to clean the screen at the bottom of the machine. The screen was cleaner than I have ever seen as was the stainless steel drum and clear plastic door front. I will purchase one for my sister because she is more critical about her laundry than I am. I am very impressed. What a good product. I am not a believer in the ”Green’ movement. Its politics and nothing more. But if you look at what this one product does for the “green” movement, the 03 Pure does more than any of the government mandates. Imagine if just 50% of the households did not have to use hot water or detergent in their laundry…. Let that one sink in a minute. In the world that I work in, this would be the biggest environmental savings that I can think of. Bigger than the tankless water heater which I see no saving at all on any level. Bigger than the one gallon flush toilets that cause sewer back ups in sewer mains making a health hazard situation costing thousands to clean up. I could go on but I will stop here.

Discolors clothes & made my washer malfunction..no customer service, expensive
I really wanted a way to purify my laundry. I’m sensitive to smells, and I have a bnb where perfumes are left behind from guests. I installed the ozone pure laundry system which was not hard, but my washer malfuctioned with it hooked up. I would find the wash stopped, on pause, and I had to restart it. This happened every time, but I continued to use it. I like and wanted the ozone treating my laundry. Well after 10 months it got so bad, the washer just could not fill without constantly stopping and pausing. I had to uninstall the unit, and my washer works like a charm again. Now, I have no one to call and ask about this. Nothing, and now I have spent $315.00 on a unit I can’t use. Too much money, PLUS it bleaches out colors. It looks like I used bleach on some of the colored laundry.

Lasted 6 years—no flood, just stopped working
This is the second unit I’ve owned, lasted 6 years and oxidized itself to death. Anything metal inside the unit takes a beating—leds fell off the circuit board but unit kept making O3. We bought another one—a competitor’s version that has a remote and stainless outer shell. We can also set the level of O3 or turn it off. The other guys is $100 more and we are in our 4th year using it.This unit is better priced, works but will die. My first unit died around 6-7 year mark too.We use less detergent and do have to pretreat stains but washing/disinfecting work clothes on cold is so easy with this! A top loader seems to work better than front load because clothes get more time in the O3. Sales nerds won’t say that but it’s true. We have front load washer but next purchase will be back to top load Speed Queens!End of Life pictured—but it worked up until the end!

Skeptic, but Proving to be Effective
I saw this about a year ago, was eyeballing it and showed it to a coworker (close friend as well). Who actually had one (Different Make/Model) and LOVED IT! So about a year later of research and his continued positive review, another baby on the way (more premium soaps and lots of laundry). I decided to give it ago. My examples aren’t pretty but shows its working in my opinion. We have an 18month old son who one night decided his Size4 diapers were no match for him. And peed on two sets of sheets and PJ’s through the night. We then left town and forgot to wash them (I know ew!) but it happened, and during the 4hour car ride he had diarrhea which made it through the diaper before we could stop and change him. So that sets the stage for our main test…We’re now home, and we tried our towels first which we were going to replace because no matter what setting we tried wouldn’t completely get rid of the musty smell. We’re loyal Tide users, so I feel higher end detergent should get towels clean. But they never smelled right. And would only really be fresh for a day or so. Ready to buy new ones we color safe tested the first load on the towels and everything was good. Towels came out smelling great! Wife used them this evening and couldn’t be happier (even skipped the Downey to really give it the ol’college try). Then we focused our attention on the great examples our son provided us…. One-load later… Nothing smells, can’t see any stains, I feel this would have been the fail point for this product. And it wasn’t, currently impressed. I’ll update more as we try it out. I’ve got 30days to prove or disprove its effectiveness or I’m stuck, so I’m going to make sure it can hold up.Now the CONS:- The hose provided did leak, will hit the hardware store tomorrow to buy a real one.- The plug is poorly thought out – our laundry room has recessed electrical plugs and I had to grab a surge protector to be able to plug it in. (A big box with prongs directly attached).- The unit feels a bit cheap, not less than I expected… But for $400 bucks would be nice, and I’d provide more inital confidence if everything felt more solid.- **You can smell the “Ozone” while the unit is running and it did make me cough while I was admiring the bubbles and blue light. We have a front load LG Direct Drive Unit. More sealed during operation than a top loader. Just an FYI if you’re concerned – EPA doesn’t paint air-bourne ozone very positively. Will keep clear especially with the kids while unit is running.======= UPDATE =======Had this installed for about 2 weeks, still enjoying it as much as the first day. Got out some dried strawberry stains from a light colored polo. Not sure if plain water would have done it as well – but no hint of the stain was left after washing. Our towels smell fresh longer than before, clothes are showing no sign of odor and look/feel clean.I saw someone marked my review not helpful, curious what was lacking I’d be happy to update with specifics.Thank!

Worth every penny
I was skeptical before I bought it and I think it’s hard to fathom the thought of no soap and cold water. You definitely should pre treat food and grease type stains as per usual but normal grime is no match. I hooked up a splitter and put a trigger style outdoor spray nozzle on mine and before I start a load I pressure wash the stain from inside the garment outwards and then spray a little stain fighter on the actual stain and that works very well. I also use the spray hose to fill up our carpet cleaner which has never cleaned the carpets so well before. I also fill up a spray bottle with the water and use it on the counters, tables, sometimes I just spray it on furniture and bean bags etc. I have reduced our household use of a lot of different chemicals and just use cold machine water. I poor it out if I don’t use it up within 30 minutes due to ozone’s short half life.We have 3 kids and a dog so we are doing a load almost daily and with sensitive skin issues for myself we were using extra rinse cycles. Now we just do normal wash cycle with cold water and the house smells like a fresh rain storm. The towels which I feel like always came out of the washer and to me smelled musty even with washing the drum regularly. Now they smell fresh and clean. Absolutely wish I knew about this thing sooner. This product is competitively priced and carry’s an excellent warranty it’s a no brainer. You will not be disappointed.

GREAT Customer Service
Upon receiving ourO3 Pure Professional Eco Laundry Washer System – Newest Generation I found it easy to install as advertised. When doing our first load we found that Blue light indicating the highest wash ozone setting would not light. I called the Customer Service line for the company. I could not be more pleased with how I was treated. The person I spoke to was truly there to help. I was given the option of getting a replacement unit and sending back the one I bought or they could send me the replacement part, I chose the second option. He explained to me how to make the repair (which was easy. Total success! Product works great and customer service was second to none, I strongly recommend this product.

Bleached my clothes, didn’t work for us…
We tried to get this to work for us for almost 2 months but just couldn’t get it to stop bleaching clothes. I called and talked to the company to a great extent and it sounds like water in certain areas contains more methane or something they think, and for some reason when it’s ozonated, it causes a bleaching effect. It only happens to the fabric the water first touches when it comes into the machine. So it would be best to run a load with something colored you don’t care about under the water when it first comes into the machine, and check it afterwards to see if it got bleached. For the trial it needs to contain natural fibers and not just be plastic (polyester) because the polyester itself is dyed and it probably won’t have a bleaching effect as well as it does on say cotton or rayon. It’s more common on West coast from my understanding, I’m in Washington. The solutions offered were to put a towel under the water for every load, or get a carbon filter and install it on the line before the ozonator. Well, it didn’t sound fun to me to wash a towel with every single load, and I don’t like having bleached towels or towel lint on my clothes so I wash them separately usually. So we tried a carbon filter on the line before the ozonator. It was a carbon filter designed for RV’s. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. It kept bleaching our clothes. So all in all, we ended up with lots of bleached clothes and towels, holes in the wall from mounting this, and out the $ for the filter and connectors we had to get to make it work. That being said, the company was very understanding and offered some possible solutions, and paid return shipping, and will be refunding me (shipping it back today). As for how it actually worked, the ozone smell outside the machine was really my only complaint. It was pretty strong so I’d turn on the fan in the laundry room while running a load which would take care of it. They said it’s been measured and is in safe amounts but I didn’t want it going around the house. I found if I used detergent with the ozonator, my clothes ended up more stiff. But if I just used the ozonator, they were normal amount of softness. I liked that it was killing mold and bacteria in my washing machine and I wish I had something as reliable as the ozonator to keep my machine fresh. I also liked that it was killing all the nasty stuff from my clothing as well! I tried to use it to remove fragrances from my clothing, but I must have washed the second hand fragrancey clothing about 10-15 times in varying ways and still couldn’t get all the fragrance out. So for me, it was ineffective for removing fragrances unfortunately. Still, if it hadn’t been bleaching my clothes, I’d have loved to keep it. Very convenient, and keeps clothes and machine much more clean. I hope it works for you and your water source! Just make sure to do your trial load first!

LIFE CHANGER
Dude!! This was sooo easy to install, all I had to do was ask my bf. It was also easy for him to install as all you connect is one part to the washer and one part to the water. The heavy lifting comes in moving the appliances. Does it clean without soap? YES!!! Does it clean better with soap? also Yes!! SO I washed some stinky dog blankets without soap and they did not smell like stink dogs anymore. There was one blanket that had dirt stains even after the washing, and when I added soap it helped but they were not totally gone so the washing even without soap was PHENOMENAL!!I have been doing so many loads!! I have 6 dogs and go through a lot of blankets. The time of running out of soap and having to stop doing laundry is long gone, I just pop the blankets in, press start and its good to go!I have also tested it out on my guinea pig beds and fleece wee pads. I like that I do not have to use any kind of chemicals and their little beds are still clean and fresh.I have tested it out on my own clothing and the clothes smell and look clean physically, it helps to know that it kills germs and bacteria!I AM LOVING IT!!!

It ozonates water. Don’t expect miracles.
I got this a bit over a month ago. We do 2-3 medium size loads per week, and also occasionally run a really small load (around once per week).First, installation is a breeze. Once installed, the unit looks rather cool, blue light goes on when water is being ozonated, and there is a noticeable though not offensive ozone smell when washing machine is filling up. Not sure why the instructions advise to swap rubber supply lines, but I did in the off chance there is a reason this needs to be done. When we first got this contraption, I did a few test loads, small, medium, and large, without any washing powder. And of course – in cold water. In my experience, this thing can wash clothes pretty well – as long as they are not stained. Any stains from from food, oil, blood, baby diapers – simply do not get cleaned. One caveat here is that ozone dissolves best in water that’s about 55F (or so I read on the InterWebs). It is summer now (still in the 90s) and we live in North Carolina. So the water coming into the machine, while still not heated, is way above that temperature. I will defer my final judgement and update my comments – and rating if need be – if it turns out that this unit performs better in truly cold water. Because the water gets ozonated whenever it is being pumped into the machine, every rinse cycle effectively becomes an ozonated wash cycle. So if really cold water does make a difference, it should be quite significant when and if it turns out that way. For now – I’m rating it as OK (3 stars) because it does not wash out stains unless I also use washing powder (no matter how small or big the load). Which basically nullifies one of the 2 advantages of using this machine versus the ‘old way.’It washes better with really tiny loads (maybe a few diapers, 3 pairs of socks and a t-shirt or 2), but even then does not wash diapers too well. What it does do well with is things like gym clothes (no smell at all once done), lightly dirtied socks (even white), dress clothes like shirts and slacks that are not too soiled, and generally any garments that are worn but not actually dirty. While small loads tend to wash better than big ones, I’m wondering if that it’s mainly due to the mechanical action of the washing machine (clothes tend to be splashed around more when there are less of them, even though the washing machine uses less water with smaller load; we have a full size, front-loading Bosch). I have never tried ‘washing’ clothes before getting this machine in just water with no detergent, but I am now kind of curious just how much would rinse out with just water…Needless to say, we now wash most of the time with a small amount of washing powder to actually get all the dirt out (this is mostly to get the diapers and kitchen towels clean; any old stains that did not get washed out of things like kitchen towels did not get washed out in the past month of using O3 Pure Eco Laundry Ozone Washer System – with or without powder; I tried both).A note on savings. Not sure how long it will take to re-cupe the cost of this machine (it’s NOT cheap!) with savings from not heating the water. It’s not clear how much it cots to heat water for a load of laundry (our washing machine heats its own water from cold source when commanded to wash in ‘warm’ or ‘hot’; so there are less inherent losses from water being pumped up from the water heater, due to heat losses in pipes etc). So I can’t speak to these savings. If it could eliminate water heating AS WELL as washing powder use, presumably there would be more savings… But it does not. While I’m able to wash some clothes without detergent, 2 times out of 3 we wash with washing powder. Unless proven otherwise though (that is – if colder water will in fact wash better in the fall and winter – eliminating the need for soap) it looks like the only savings will be from not heating the water. BTW – we use
Charlie’s Soap Powder Bucket, 1000 Loads, 32 Pounds
, which sells on Amazon for $120 for a 1250(!) load bucket (yes, the soap does wash reasonably well with just one table spoon per load!). By my calculations, the bucket of soap we have will last YEARS (and I mean SIX years at our current 4 loads max per week). So the washing powder savings would be hard to actually realize…At this point you my wonder why I decided to keep this machine? Well, I want to see how it performs with colder water. I like gadgets, and I am able to wash SOME loads without washing powder, it sure does remove all odor from laundry, and laundry is softer whenever I’m able to wash it without detergent. The jury is still out if this machine will perform better when inlet water temperature is closer to optimal. Or maybe home units just don’t get high enough ozone concentration to do a job comparable to commercial ozonating washing systems? As stated, I will update this review if I find that this device works better with colder inlet water.

O3 Pure Laundry system
I have friend who has this system and she loves it so I thought I would give it a try. After my husband installed it I did a test load of the dirtiest laundry I could find, my husband’s white, outside working in the yard T-shirts. They came out as clean as if I soaked them in Oxy Clean and washed them on the whites cycle using bleach. The system I have is the new system that allows you to select one of 3 settings for the amount of Ozone generated, green for normal and blue for heavier soiled items, or without engaging the Ozone generator. Hope to notice a savings on my electric bill, no hot water required. I pretreat stains and use a small amount of detergent for heavily soiled items.

It does as advertised
A neighbor told me about this nearly a year ago, he works for a big plumbing company and they crawl around in grease traps at a local pig processing plant plus the everyday sewage etc… that a plumber gets into. His company was washing their clothes each day and decided to save some money by not using soap anymore and using one of these (a different brand) he claimed their clothes came out clean a fresh smelling compared to how they smelled before they went in.I did extensive research for over 6 months while saving up enough Amazon gift cards to purchase one (the same brand they were using). I finally got ready to step out and buy one then Amazon stopped carrying the one I had researched all this time, then the price on that one dropped $100.00 but could only be purchased through the company that manufactures them which concerned me. I made several calls and sent numerous emails to everyone I could find to inquire as to why the huge price drop and why I could not longer purchase through Amazon. I got as many answers as I made phone calls and sent emails, no one would give me the same answer twice.I began to get really cold feet on purchasing one, then I began to research the 03 Pure and found they have a 30 day money back guarantee and a full 1 year parts and labor warrantee and decided it was worth the risk.We purchased ours nearly 3 months ago. We do 5 to 10 loads of wash every week, I do a lot of cooking, gardening and yard work so our clothes are not what you would find in a house with children but we can make a mess of things at times. What we have learned is some of the claims you see are just what I thought, “too good to be true” I read things like the towels got so “fluffy” they no longer fit in the closet….. that is not true 🙂 our clothes are clean but as for the softness and fluffiness not so much. I have not worn clothes hung out on a clothes line for 40 years so who can remember what that really smells like, Our clothes do not stink they really have not smell at all so I cannot tell you they smell like they have been hung on the line all day.We did figure out really quick if you get a stain you better use some type of stain remover because the stains will still be there when you take the clothes out of the washer. We have not used one ounces of soap, hot water or fabric softener since we started using this, our clothes are bright and clean although we have started using a dryer sheet to cut down on the static cling we began to get especially in our whites.Would I recommend this to my friends, yes and I have I even posted on Facebook about it after we passed the 30 mark and decided to keep it, I wanted all my friends to look at them for themselves and I recommend you do the research as well don’t ever take my word or the word of just one person when considering a purchase such as this. We love ours and hope to use this one for a very long time.

So Far I love it
So I have been watching this product for over a year. I finally took the plunge (because it isn’t cheap) but I am so glad I did. We have a new generation LG and I have struggled with a lingering musty smell, tried all the detergents, all the washer cleaners, run it through a clean cycle regularly and just feel like I could never get the truly clean laundry smell. This has changed the game. And now I don’t have to spend any extra money on detergent. Its been over a week and I have run 15 loads and I feel like our sheets are finally coming out clean. I do think the fresh scent fades in the dryer, but it smells cleaner than it ever has before! Very happy with this purchase!

My Family’s experience
If you are not a believer…you will be. It is not great on grease alone so if you have some greasy, heavy oily clothes use a small amount of detergent. For everything else this is a real game changer for our family. I think we have stressed hormonal bodor odor that has gotten so bad regular detergent was not washing our clothes clean…maybe in our well water there was some bacteria. Not sure but all our clothes smelled like bodor odor and pee and no matter what we did or used some fabrics would not come clean. UNTIL NOW…until the uv light and ozone were used to charge the water and our clothes smell like fabric again. This really made an impact for our family. Thank you and I hope it lasts a very long time

Everything smells fresh now
Probably the best decision ever. I was skeptical about it at first but after a week of doing laundry it changed my mind really quick. I was getting it for me and my girlfriend when we move in but I wanted to try it right away to see if it was all of that so I hooked it up at my parents house and now I have to get another one because I can’t remove it now since they like it so much. But I have had this thing for a few months now and it works perfectly. I do have to add a little bit of laundry detergent just to get the really tuff stuff like grease and tar. I work in hvac so my clothes gets covered in all sorts of stuff but this thing gets rid of most types of scum. The laundry detergent isn’t for smell it is to get rid of grease. The clothes come our smelling fresh all the time with this thing. All of my moldy towels smell and look fresh now from this thing.Edit: we just got a new front load washer and the effect of the ozone has dropped dramatically since there is not as much water usage on these new machines. Recommended for only top loaders still removes most odors but needs more soap to remove all. Used to get away with no soap in previous top loader. Everyone in the house is now complaining that towels are starting to smell moldy after a few days instead of 1 or 2 weeks. Great product to use if you are able to use the extra water my washer has a presoak feature that helps to get close to the original washer but takes forever to wash that way.

So far, I love it
So I was hesitant in purchasing an ozone washer because we use well water. Our clothes always seem to have a weird mildew smell, especially if they get wet. Our towels never smell fresh. I always leaves or washer lid up, and I cleaned the washer with vinegar weekly. The only thing that worked was using a good (expensive) laundry detergent, an oxi additive using the hottest water. But that’s expensive. (We don’t have a water bill but do pay for natural gas water heater.)I’ve used the washer for 5 weeks now.Pros:-SUPER easy to install-The smell of the ozone is amazing. Love the smell-Clothes come out clean-sometimes I need to use the fels naptha bar and rub on some stains.-Towels are softer do not smell anymore!!!!-I haven’t had a chance to compare my hot water bill from last year to this year. But no doubt it’s better. I’m using no hot water and we do a lot of laundry.Cons:No cons yet except that I read the unit lasts about 3-5 years. I am hoping for 5. But I’d be happy with 3.I’ve also heard that during the summer, in hotter climates, it may be difficult for water to get super cold. I live in Texas. As summer is arriving, time will tell. Fingers crossed!

UPDATE SEPT 13, 2015 Been using this for a year now SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy a new washer
Too soon to tell, not happy with clothes when they are dry, they are stiff, especially the towels, some reviews states clothes are softer, not mine, even put them in the Dryer fluff cycle , not much different, sill a toss up on if they are any brighter, I check the water in the tub on the wash and the rinse cycle and the water appears it is still dirty? The water in the rinse cycle should not be dirty? This unit cost close to three hundred dollars, almost the cost of a new efficient washer . The Front Case has to come off to be mounted to the wall so you can see how it made nothing expensive just pvc pipes I will check on the replacement cost of the ozone Generator. So I am wondering if I spent my money wisely UPDATE Sept 13, 2015 Been using this unit for a year now, SAVE YOUR MONEY Buy your self a new washer, For the amount of money these units cost you could buy a new washer, it dose a poor job When I first got the unit , I call the manufacturer about how my tee shirts and whites look dingy , Customer service said the washer had to be cleaned and after so many loads it clean it self B.S, now my dingy whites are coming out with stains ,I know were not there when I put them in the wash.?? My girlfriend commented on how my whites look bad . I even use bleach in my wash

After 18 months I’m still happy
Update: now at 18 months. Still good. The laundry room smells like fresh rain when we are washing clothes.= = = = =I have an excellent sense of smell – a mixed blessing for sure! Our bath towels most often had a mildew stench. I blame it on sitting wet in the laundry pile too long, or our well water, or . . . who knows. Well, this ozone thingamabob actually works. The towels smell better. We can use less detergent now. Not entirely sure how long this device will last, but as of 18 months, it is still working well.

I’m not a tree hugging hippie but…
Let me tell you, I was on the fence with this product. My wife told me we need this, so I bought it. It took a whole 20 minutes to install and I’m impressed, they sent a screwdriver to make sure you have the correct tool for the job. Who does that?? I’ve heard of sending Allen wrenches and specialty tools, but a Phillips head screwdriver. Respect to the company. As far the product. Ran a load of towels, smell was out of this world, best my towels have smelled since they were new. It just does something magic to them I guess?!? And don’t take that as a personal attack at my wife’s laundering skills, she’s supermom. Given that it was just one load, I will try to give an update after a month or so but so far I say give it a go. It’s eco friendly and everything.

Economical
I bought the first unit about 10 years ago. The light went out recently so I purchased a replacement. I might think about repairing the first unit if I can verify the faulty part. It’s likely in need of a new uv bulb. Not expensive to fix.

Works, saves time and money
I have a front loading Samsung washer about 4 years old and the O3 Pure Pro. has really made this washer work better. I never had a problem getting clothes clean and have been very pleased with my washing machine. However after installing the O3 Pure Pro. I have used about a teaspoon of soap or none at all and my clothes are cleaner than ever! And what’s more is they smell fresh like a clean cool summer afternoon breeze. The only thing wonder about is if the Gen. 2 or 3 might do an even better job. However from reading the reviews this seemed like the best and I am very happy with the out come to date. But full disclosure I have only had this product installed for 2 days now. And FYI I’m able to wash the clothes for shorter amounts of time and they still get cleaner and fresher. The last things I should share the clothes don’t seem to require a fabric softener. So this product really does improve the quality of your wash and save money. What was enough soap to wash for a month could be used for 1- 2 years!

This works so well!
I was very hesitant about this product. You are not supposed to use soap when washing your clothes while using this as the “oxidation” cleans the clothing like soap. Well, we stopped using soap all together now. This works fantastic! It cleans amazingly and leaves NO odor in ANY clothing. It has saved us so much money on laundry detergent. The actual “oxidizing” of the water while it is washing does not smell very good but that smell does NOT stay on the clothing. Just while washing. It cleans so well and I would recommended it to anyone.

Money saver on soaps, hot water, clothing longevity
$350 at first might seem alot to spend on an item to wash clothing. I thought awhile and did some cost savings and this thing will pay for itself in time by no need for soap, bleach, fabric softener and hot water as well as clothing lasting longer. I know my white t shirts get underarm odors that never come out, this will be the ultimate test this summer. It arrived and took about 20 minutes to hang it and start my first load of laundry, cold water and no nothing added for my darks and then same thing for my whites. First thing is the electric odor like after a lightning strike of strong electricity. It also is the same odor my ozone generator emits that I use in eradicating odors from the interiors of cars. Anyway, I am well pleased after one load and am sure it will do nothing but get better over time.

Surprisingly effective!
I’ve owned this now for about a week, I bought this with the idea of using it to wash hunting clothes and decided to try a few regular loads of lightly worn clothing first… mostly out of curiosity. I put in some pretty smelly socks, and other un-stained garments, ran cold/cold with a pre-soak, and to my surprise… the clothes came out clean. My next load included some lightly stained clothing, this time I put a small scoop of OxyClean in the tub, and maybe a tablespoon of Gain detergent in the reservoir, again I used the pre-soak option… Clean clothes and no stains…. I think the majority of my clothes can be washed without detergent from now on.I will say, I was surprised at the effectiveness, however, don’t expect it to 100% replace detergent. You’ll still need to treat stains, and if you want your clothing to have any fragrance, you’ll probably want to use something (I’m playing with scented castile soap in pre-wash at the moment . This system removes all odors, so without any detergent, the clothes smell like literally nothing. This thing took about 45 minutes to install in a small laundry room (with concrete walls so a lot of the install was with my hammer drill and moving things around) The install is 2 screws, 2 hoses and a power cord.I will update the review as time goes on**UPDATE** after 4-5 months of using this, it’s still working as well as I’d previously indicated. I don’t even use detergent on lightly soiled loads anymore (aside from a small amount of scented Castile soap for Fragrance)Another added benefit, I noticed that my washer smells better overall, even if I leave the door shut for a few days, I don’t have that normal mildew smell anymore.10/10 would absolutely still recommend.

I was skeptical……Just like you
I hesitated for so long with this purchase. I couldn’t wrap my head around washing dirty stinky laundry without detergent. I finally tried it and do not regret it whatsoever. The laundry smells SO CLEAN. Meaning there is no smell at all! And you use only cold water so you will save on whatever energy you are using for hot water.Without being too graphic, our dog had an accident of both kinds on a bedsheet. It was stained. It smelled. I thought for sure it wouldn’t get cleaned. I will tell you it 100% got every bit of smell and stain out WITHOUT DETERGENT OR HOT WATER!!!There are 2 tips I would like to offer….when you first get it, run a couple of empty loads through it and then be disgusted at the nastiness that it gets out of your machine!! Our water was so cloudy from a relatively new washing machine. Now the water is crystal clear. If you like your clothes to smell all foo foo flowery then get some powder detergent for cold water. We use a tablespoon on the laundry that you want to have some scent. Put it in the bottom before adding clothes. (We have a top loader)That’s all for now. Just buy it and thank me later

Great product so far
So far it is extremely easy to use. You literally just follow the directions included, and that’s it. It turns itself on and off as you do laundry. I love that it comes with a screw mounting guide on the paper. All I did was tape it on the wall, and put a level on the top of the paper to see if it would be level. I grabbed the included screwdriver and tapped it into the middle of the circles on the paper marking where the screws go. I pushed the anchors provided into the holes. I then screwed the provided screws into the hole leaving about 25% not screwed in as per the directions. I had to take the cover of the unit off. It is important to know that there are three clips you need to undo in order to take the cover off. One on each side, and then one on the bottom. After you remove the cover, you mount the unit onto the wall, and then finish screwing in the screws until tight. Place the cover back on. Hook up your hoses, turn your water on, plug it in, and you are ready to go! The smell it emits is very interesting. It isn’t bad, but it is definitely a smell. It is a clean kind of smell. No fragrance. Definitely noticed less dryer lint after drying the first load. It does not get out old stains from clothes. It gives laundry a pleasant smell overall after washing and drying clothes. I am not sure how long it lasts, but so far so good. Loving saving money on our bills.

Our second one
I cannot say enough good about this machine! My husband can’t tolerate laundry detergent. Even for babies (toxins). This Ozonator cleans (cold water) our clothes, makes them softer, fluffy towels, and no need for soap. My first one- light burned out after 6 years. Mom has hers still (over 10 years). These machines are expensive but we’ll worth the money when considering we’re not getting toxins in our laundry!Highly recommend.

Great choice for HE washers, when the cold water and low level just aren’t getting the job done!
This is a must have for new HE washers. I had done a trial run with a 20 year old Kenmore and a similar O3 unit, and found that it did help with smells and let me wash more things in cold. But I was getting decent performance from the washer even without it and didn’t want to spend $600, so I didn’t keep it. Fast forward to my new front load HE washer that uses tiny amounts of cold water. No more pre-soak in hot water option for really dirty stuff! I was washing and rewashing everything, trying to get the stink out of teenage boy gym clothes. Disaster. So I ordered the O3 Pure in desperation and I have not been disappointed. I do use some detergent in each load (especially for muddy boy clothes) and occasionally the deep steam cycle for greasy mechanic clothes from hubby. The cold water cycle is now effective for regular laundry and the gym clothes smell clean.I have two important notes.1. The hose that came with the unit had a plastic fitting that broke before we even got it attached. Not a big deal since we had just gotten a new washer and had one extra from our old machine. I suggest a hose with a normal metal fitting. Especially since a couple of reviewers mentioned leaks.2. When my Samsung front loader starts, it pulls a very small trickle of cold water to wet the clothes. This is not enough flow to activate the unit. It either has a blue light and no bubbles, or it goes red for a few seconds. Once the clothes are all damp and it starts to pull more water to fill the drum and soak everything, then the blue light comes on, I see bubbles, and there is a whiff of ozone in the air. I called and was assured that this is normal. There is just a threshold flow rate that the machine has to hit before the O3 Pure kicks in. I wouldn’t have even noticed except that I’ve been experimenting with different cycles on the new washer and have spent a lot of time watching laundry spin. (And sticking my hand in mid-cycle to check temperature). I also have the drain going into the laundry sink temporarily, so I verified that the water coming out is bubbly and smells like ozone.

It really works!
I’m monumentally pleased this ozone unit works so well. I like the smell of the ozone. The clothes come out fresh and fluffy.

Best purchase I have done in years! Install, Normal wash, Stains, and Hunting. See below
First off i dont write many reviews, I will tell you I am big on saving money. The install is simple, two screws to hold unit on the wall, and install the cold water line to and from the unit. Plug the unit in, in my opinion they need to just go to a straight plug, you will probably need an adapter to make your washer plug and this plug fit in a regular receptacle. Your done with the install. Now for the test, washing clothes, it really works, has a “fresh air” scent to them, if you like aromas on your clothes you can do that in your dryer with sheets or eco balls. I even did research about hunting clothes since im an avid hunter, Ozone is actually a scent eliminator and is perfectly fine for washing your hunting clothes in, you dont have to buy any more scent away laundry detergent (and i even washed my hunting clothes in it and have had a great season already with 2 bucks and 2 fox) so i will personally say it works perfect for scent elimination on hunting clothes! Now on to stains, i havent had anything stain my clothes since installing this (not to say it will get all stains out), so blood on clothes is a huge stain with me being a hunter i usually come out of my camo and am wearing blue jeans while cleaning up the deer. The next day i washed my blue jeans using only the eco pure and the stain came out, you cant even tell anything was ever on my jeans. So if you want to save money, know your clothes are clean and hypo allergenic, this truly is the way to go. This has convinced me and i wish i wouldve bought this years ago!

Works…I think….customer service, so so
Purchased this product, received the unit and it didn’t work. Customer service was skeptical and suggested it was installed improperly, but replaced the unit. Received the second unit and the housing case was poorly designed in their new version, very difficult to get the case on and off. Again, customer service was less than pleasant and offered no help. After some manipulation, we successfully got all the attachments fit. We have been using the unit for almost two months. The smell of ozone is obvious, but tolerable. Clothing smells neutral and appear clean. We’ve have two articles of clothing newly purchases that resulted in “bleach-like” discoloration; otherwise no issues or discoloration. We still use a small amount of detergent with very dirty clothing or dog items; but have significantly reduced detergent use. We do about 40-50 loads per month, so, would go through detergent very quickly. The product states it can take many washes before an article of clothing becomes soft and free of residual detergent. We will see. Seems to be cleaning simply based on smell and appearance of dirt.

Clean clothes in cold water without soap!
Easy to install. Does a great job. First saw this device in a laundromat in Japan! I started to put soap into the washer. A nice Japanese lady, who spoke no English, waved me off and pointed to the sign on the wall. Read it with my translation app and followed the directions. After that I was hooked. Bought this one as soon as I got home!! YES IT WORKS!!

An Amazing unit..
I bought the unit 6yrs ago and love it…The clothes not only smell clean but feel clean..A different feel of clean..I do use a very small amount of soap as it foams easily ..I have my son spray his underarms of shirts with sraight white vinegar and wash the next day..We actually found out about the ozone washer units when we purchased a Rain soft purification water system to treat our well water..Well they introduced us to this ozone washing system at a fat price of $1700 that would eventually pay for itself ..Told us it would drastically cut down on the use for soap if needed any…Well when I was testing how to best wash the clothes I tried No Soap..but the BO from my sons shirts were there but not as bad..So I decided for $1700 it should take every scent out..So I told my husband they needed to come pick the unit up and give us a refund..Well of course they wanted to show me I wasn’t using it correctly or it was my machine (brand new front loader)..I said well I guess it wont do us any good if it’s my machine..They did not want to refund our money..They did..Then I got on line and found this unit that looked exactly like it..Only $1400 dollars cheaper and did the same job. It wasn’t that rain softs unit wasn’t any good,, it was but not For $1700..I told the tech that they misrepresented the unit.. By telling me it would take NO SOAP AND BE ABLE TO GET BO SMELLS OUT ..IT LIGHTENED THE BO..BUT Didnt completely do the job….I love this machine and so happy we purchased it… 6 yrs ago..I called last yr to ask about a drinking water unit and the gentlemen was so helpful and nice..Would differently purchase again and will if mine ever breaks..A 5 star product…

Works great!
This thing is great! I’ve been using it for about a month now, and I have to say, I’m impressed. I will admit I was a little bit skeptical on this actually working, but it truly does what they say it will. I have used it on regular clothes, work clothes, and towels. All came out feeling clean, softer than using fabric softener, and smelling clean too! I have also noticed that my dress shirts don’t wrinkle up near as badly if they lay in the dryer for a little while before I pull them out. I will agree with other reviewers on the hose they supply. Don’t even try using it. Go buy better ones. I tried it and took a shower the moment I turned the water on. There is no way to keep it from leaking or spraying water.

Effortless, chemical free, and saves money!
My daughter has sensitive skin. I love that this is chemical free and we no longer have to buy expensive detergent. It’s so simple and does great even with baby messes!

Awesome!
We have sweaty boy clothes and farm clothes. This installs in minutes and all you have to do is connect water hoses. Clothes come out smelling fresh. Each time things get washed it gets better. Using less soap and cold water with better results. Worth the money.

5 star product, but mine seems to have stopped working, trying to figure that out
Update 6-4-21:Brian contacted me and they had not gotten my attempt at contacting them through amazon. He is committed to helping me resolve the issue. I’ll update further depending on the results. The product itself is excellent and kept clothes very fresh and kept our front loading washer from having mold problems (bonus). Nothing smelled musty while it was working. Right now I’m still in the troubleshooting phase and will update on what happened later. In the mean time, the product itself when working is 5 stars so I’m leaving a 5 star review on the assumption that this is an unusual occurrance and that the company will follow through with their support committment.Previous Review:Initially, the unit worked well. Clothes were fresh smelling and I didn’t have to use detergent. However, after several months we noticed clothes were no longer smelling as fresh. Contacted the company and no response. There are other choices out there for the exact same technology. I recommend finding a company that actually supports their products.

These systems really do work
Arrived on time, good packaging, installation is quite straight forward. The hardest part is probably carefully tightening the hose connections to ensure no leaking (which is a concern for anything involving water connections). If you are new to these systems, maybe good to know that your washer will likely give off a distinct odor during operation. That is the scent of ozone. I don’t consider it a bad smell, but if you consider yourself sensitive in such regards you might want to close the door on your laundry room and/or run your exhaust fan if you have one. The odor dissipates quickly and is, we are told, harmless. Some people compare the smell to the scent of an afternoon thunderstorm.

Does a fantastic job
This is perfect!! I used it today and it makes your clothes clean and smelling fresh!! I was skeptical at first but it works great!!! Very simple to install and mount.. It does everything that was described!!! No more detergent for this guy!! I gave the remainder to my neighbor… Now he is interested… It’s cost isn’t cheap but none of them are. Just add up all the detergent you will have to buy and it makes it well worth it!!

Best purchase I have ever made!
Bought and installed in December of 2020. It has now been six months of use, and I could not be happier. Almost all of our laundry is done on a short 20 minute cycle in cold water mode. Clothes come out clean and disinfected. We will do a longer timed load on cold with detergent if heavily stained. I will add a bit of oxyclean on the short cold cycle for my flour cloth kitchen towels, and they come out perfect. We have not bought laundry detergent or oxyclean for our laundry in over six months, and most likely will not over the next six months. We also installed a split with a short hose so I can fill up spray bottles to use to disinfect household surfaces, and to fill watering cans for garden use. That water needs to be used within a 15 to 20 minute timeline. Best purchase I have ever made. Love it!

OZONE IS AWESOME
SIMPLY AWESOME! This was the best investment for my LG washer. I’ve been through two washers in the last 5 years. The first washer became stinky even after I diligently did a washer tub clean cycle with bleach. I must confess that I use A LOT of towels during my 1+ hour sauna session so my towels are stinky (detoxing!!). I moved out of state got rid of my semi-old washer and purchased a big top load LG washer. Within the first year the tub started to smell. I have a septic tank so bleach is not an option so I used vinegar to clean the tub and also during my towel wash load. I occasionally would splash peroxide on the tub floor but nothing helped. I have an ozone generator and use it for many procedures including drinking ozone water. I also own an ozone air purifier and love it. I researched ozone generators for washing machines and came across this one in which I hesitated to order it because I couldn’t believe this machine would actually produce enough high grade ozone so quickly. We finally decided to give this a chance and am so happy I did. My towels and washer tub smell so sanitized and clean. Ozone is AMAZING!!!

Great product
Been using this product for almost 2 months now and I’m so happy with its performance! I haven’t used soap in months. The installation was easy although two of the pieces on the face broke off, the plastic quality was pretty poor and they snapped without much effort. But overall very happy with how it’s washing.
