Dual propane/ charcoal grill
I like to charcoal broil, but my daughter likes it to use the gas grill side. Perfect for our family! I read the reviews where people found it difficult to assemble. I’m perplexed. I am a retired grandmother and I had no problems! For the price it can’t be beat!

Great Value, not the Walmart brand.
So I got this one after my wife got me the smaller griddle version with two burners on it. It’s not that I didn’t like that version but I wanted something bigger so I got this one and I don’t regret it. The grill grate is cast iron and of considerably better quality, the grill has a lot more grilling space and better heat distribution. The side burner is also useful for keeping a warm sauce on the side for basting. It doesn’t have the same front rack as the smaller version, but that’s fine because the two tables on either side of the grill make up for it. Overall, I think this is a way better value than the cheap grills you find at Walmart and Home Depot. I wouldn’t say it’s as good as a Weber though, but it’s also about a quarter to a third of the cost. I would definitely buy this over most name brand just because I feel like I get a lot of the same features I care about for a lot cheaper.

I had many grills before but this is the one! The size of the grill is decent, enough to feed a small party. The best part is it grills really fast so you don’t have to wait so long. Quality – Stainless Steel Frame
The overall assembly instructions were right on. Referencing to the ” Headline ” I was a bit surprised that the quality of the stainless steel was not of a higher quality. The other major issue is that this product was not made in the United States of America! If I had known this was made in China I would not have purchased this product.

Solid Grill

This grill is built tough and offer solid performance. They have a heavy-gauge, durable welded stainless steel construction and double lined hood which protects the grill and holds in heat better.The installation was straight to the point. You don’t need to be a handyman to out it together.As you can see in my videos the burgers were beautifully cooked with a large surface. Tempeture was pretty even on all sides. Cleaning the grills.was pretty simple. (I hate cleaning grills)Overall pretty solid grill for the price! Spring is around the corner.

Everything I Wanted in a Quality Grill
I chose this gas grill after doing some research. Certain features are important for both convenience and efficiency which are discussed below:1) Grates: The grates are heavy duty iron, and hold heat unlike the cheap wire grill grates. Less chance for food to fall through and better sear marking.2) Number of burners: With 4 burners, you have options to run 2 and place food on other side for indirect cooking, 1 for keeping things warm, or all 4 for those large juicy steaks.3) Burner covers: The covers are coated and can be washed clean of food drippings during grilling. Easy to remove and place back.4) Propane storage: This grill has stainless steel privacy doors to hide your propane tank out of site. It also has an elevated shelf so your tank isn’t sitting on the patio, causing rust stains when it rains.5) Side Burner: This comes in handy more than you realize. For heating all your side dishes without having to go back in the house.6) Temperature Gauge: This feature is way more important than I thought, especially if you plan to bake or slow cook and food won’t get burned if following proper steps.Summary:For the price point I purchased, it is a well made grill. It took me about 2 hours to assemble because it comes in a smaller box with the parts contained within other parts. Instructions are included and relatively simple to follow. I would highly recommend this grill as a good medium range grill with a semi professional look. Of course, if I had an unlimited budget, there are much fancier grills with more features, but this grill has all the features I need and use.

Complicated assembly but nice grill
The grill was missing the grease cup, but the manufacturer sent me one quickly.Assembly took 1.5 hours and was quite complicated. The materials are cheap and bend easily.However, now that it is together and I’ve used the grill multiple times I’m quite happy with it. It’s a budget grill to be sure, but it’s perfectly compact for an apartment balcony and I love the versatility of the standard grill or griddle.The heat zones take some time to get used to. The front of the grill is cooler and the back is hotter, and you can control the left and right heat separately.The lid is flush against the grill so you can’t really use it when cooking food, but it does protect the top from dust and rain.Overall I’m satisfied with this grill as a smaller budget option.

I’m cannot wait for the summer coming
I have to admit I am impressed. First of all, it is easy to assemble, I did it all by myself and it only took me half hour to get everything ready. The instructions is straightforward and parts are aligned well so no need to adjust any thing. Secondly it has 4 burners which means the temperature goes up pretty quick when you have full powers and it is easy to adjust the temperature if you like flexibility. The grill tray is iron cast I think which is pretty solid and should be easy to clean afterwards. Lastly but not least, there is a removable oil pan underneath which will make life much more easier after grilled heavy oily stuff.

Very cheep metal
Not to difficult to put together but the steel is very thin and bends. Bushings would be necessary to help with the bending and structural strength. I feel this grill will not last very long as it will rust out pretty quickly. But it does work well although I haven’t used the charcoal side yet. Happy grilling

Prone to rust and failure
Bought in Feb 2023. Review submitted Dec 2023. I was a little skeptical as I examined pieces on receipt and put it together. It was one of those items that was so heavily packaged that, once opened and unpacked, it would be near impossible to repackage and return. Plus, it was quite heavy. Seemed like it had a lot of plain carbon steel sheet rather than stainless steel in key spots. It was not a real difficult assembly but did take some time and some of the holes were slightly off. The stainless as shown in the pictures is mostly cosmetic. The sides, back, supports for the flame tents, the tents themselves, and all of the bottom are plain rustable thin painted sheet metal. After one season, with quite a bit of use and generally covered when not in use I am having problems. There were times when it was used, at least lightly 4 times a week. The supports that hold the tents are rusting off. The bottom is perforated from rust and initial thinness. It really did not have a slope in the bottom tray to facilitate good drainage. The porcelain covering on one of the two grates failed early over a 6 sq inch area and rusted immediately. I usually get 4 to 5 years, with occasional burner or tent replacement, off an equally, or lower, priced charbroil that is used and treated the same. Plus I do not have to waste a full day assembling it. I will have to replace this after less than a years use. VERY DISAPPOINTED – I HAD HOPED FOR BETTER.

Captiva Designs 3 gas burner propane and charcoal grill
Delivered by FedEx, on time, and packaged well. After unboxing, I read and looked over the assembly instructions. Honestly, the instructions are a little dicey, and unless you are gifted with ESP, you might be left wondering, “what in the hades were these people thinking when they put this instruction manual together?” But like any red blooded American man, I quickly set the instructions aside and just looked the parts and pieces over and started bolting it together. I could write a whole book of tips and helps but I’m afraid you’ll have to have your own “coming to Jesus moment” at some point during your assembly process. I will give you a couple of tips though, just so I can feel better about myself, having had compassion upon my fellow man. #1. You might want to start praying and fasting a few days before you unbox your new project. #2. You must unscrew the lower back strap from off the back bottom of the main grill assembly in order to get the charcoal ash try and the grease tray to pull out so you can remove the plastic wrap from off them. #3. When you get to the point where you are ready to install the main upper grill assembly to the lower cart you must slide the right side burner assembly and the left side shelf assembly in between the main upper grill body and the upper portion of the four legs of the cart before you screw in the eight long bolts that secure the cart assembly and grill body assembly together. If you don’t do that then you will be left pulling back out the eight long bolts and prying the upper legs away from the main grill assembly so that you can slide the right side burner and the left shelf into there rightful position. Don’t ask me how I know this but trust me, it will save you from using foul language if you do it right the first time. #4. When connecting the gas line to the side burner, you will find it much easier if you unscrew the burner from its base and then push the gas line into the burner tube. Then attach the clip that holds the gas line and the side burner tube together. After that is accomplished, reattach the burner (two screws) back into its base. I promise you that it is much easier to do it the way I just described instead of trying to mate the gas line and the side burner tube together with it still screwed to its base.Follow those four steps and you will find that overall the assembly process is not as intimidating and difficult as it first appears to be. Oh, and one other piece of advice, the instruction manual strongly advises that the assembly process should be performed by two people. I put mine together alone, ie by myself, just because #1. I’m a red blooded American man, and #2. Why follow the strongly recommended advice of whoever put the instruction manual together in such a pitiful, confusing, and incoherent manner? Not me!So after hooking up the propane tank to the grill, I did a thorough leak test with soapy water, and then congratulated myself for not fulfilling my wife’s prophecy of, “your going to blow yourself up and burn the garage down trying to put that thing together by yourself!” So hurray, I shall not depart this world in flames and burnt pieces.Well well, my new Captiva Designs duel fuel grill is up and running. I lit the three main propane burners and the right side burner and let her run for about forty five minutes with the main lid down (left the side burner lid up) in order to cure her into grilling perfection. Temperature gauge read nearly 500 degrees and I cooked off all that new grill smell and shut her down.I am well pleased with our new grill and am looking forward to fixing a right fine meal on her soon. Now if I somehow manage to win the lottery, I might even be able to afford a couple of grass fed angus beef ribeyes for dinner sometime before spring. Until then, it’s chicken grilling time and boy oh boy do I have a great recipe for grilled chicken wings!You all have a great day and God bless. Over and out.

Perfect Grill and Easy to Assemble
My husband and I are very happy with this grill. The box arrived in perfect condition. From opening the box to lighting up the grill took about 2.5 hours. That included separating out all the pieces and labeling those that did not have a numbered sticker on them. I was in charge of making sure all the parts were in the box and I especially liked the manual which had not only pictures of the parts but descriptions of each item. I was also in charge of reading the instructions and handing my husband the parts for assembling. Just a couple of observations which don’t affect our rating of this grill. Spaces are pretty small so people with larger hands may have a challenge. The grease tray is already inserted into the lid and body assembly so don’t look for it in the box. When the instructions on page 12 say to “remove bottom and two sides of shipping protective metal brackets before further assembly,” these parts are actually metal, not the usual packing materials. Further, page 15 of the manual talks about the “corrugated pipe and ignition wire.” These were a bit difficult to actually find – at least for me. They are in bubble wrap and need to be pulled out of the holes in the inside front of the grill (behind the control knobs). Finally, this grill has a rotisserie option we did not buy. As a result, there are two openings on either side of the grill we think may allow for too much heat to escape. I did grill steaks on this grill after we put it together and they came out great despite the heat that may have escaped. In my opinion, this is a 2-person job to put together but my husband and I did well and are still married!

Good quality & easy to assemble
Very happy with this purchase, got it as a house warming gift for my buddy, and I helped out on assembly of this unit. Took us two guys around 20minute putting it together, the material is solid and the design is slick, hooking up to butane tank is very easy. I especially like the fact that factory had a protective film on the surfaces to avoid scratches, MAKE SURE you peels them off before use. For the price point to the quality, I do recommend this unit, it’s a good buy!

I just finished put it together for father day gift Easy everything fitted together. Just what it said. The quality is good Easy to move around with the 4 wheels. Burning off now , with all 5 burners going it gets up to 850⁰ F. No removable bottom pan. An removable grease catch on bottom. But you will need to keep it level or slightly tilted back for grease to run in to it. When it cools, I will pour a little water into it to see where the grease will go and my father very enjoy the food and very happy with this grill. Clean is super easy. The flat top is removable and the material is easy to clean

A must-have grill for summer
At the beginning of the year, I installed a new deck for my house and have been looking forward to a great grill . I finally got what I like. The installation manual for this grill is very detailed and easy to install. It has 4 flexible wheels, which make it easy for me to move to the place I want on the deck. It has the perfect size, the grill has stainless steel materials, is smooth and easy to clean, and the temperature adjustment is also very convenient. In the evening, eating grilled food and drinking beer on the deck, it’s a great life, a great grill!

This grill was super easy to assemble and put together. I probably put this together within 15 minutes by my self! I’ve been looking for another grill to cook some extra food. The little stove next to it is great to make a quick stir fry! It does have a waste tray which is really nice and handy to catch all the drippings. it’s very easy to connect the propane tank and is very self explanatory to start up. It has a very sleek finish and just makes my old grill look terrible next to this modern looking grill. Overall I’m really happy with my new grill and will be using this all summer long!

CHARCOAL & GAS GRILL
Grill arrived with several dents (in the cart parts, the drip pans, & framework). Luckily they didn’t affect assembly & were not so big as to be noticeable after assembled, nor did it affect cooking. Still, you buy something brand new it should be in perfect condition.UPDATE: I Have to upgrade my review from 3stars to 5stars. Without my request, customer service partially refunded a good portion of cost due to the dents in the product. I have never received better customer service anywhere! The grill itself is spectacular. I love having the option of gas or charcoal & I’ve used both since I’ve received it & both sides do an excellent job. Great heat regulation on both sides. The charcoal side has dampers front, top, & sides, also a crank lift to raise/lower charcoal. VERY PLEASED WITH THIS GRILL & THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I want to Throat punch the designer
These instructions are very unclear. After getting the main body onto the bottom and bolted in, only to find out I have to take it back off to slide on the shelf and side burner. Also getting 3 bolts that aren’t grooved on the head and having to tighten them down with pliers. So much for a stress free build.

Perfect grill for my outdoor cooking
Try to replace my old , slow grill, we ordered this new piece grill online for fast delivery. It came really fast right the next two days. We couldn’t wait to put it up. It was pretty easy for us to put the parts together with the very detailed instructions. First time use this for a family gathering, it saved a lot of my cooking time with the evenly heating of the grill and the side burner .the combination of the grilling net and frying pan is so practical . Highly cost effective and highly functional grill
Very nice and cost effective grill. It functions well, and does not cost me that much comparing to almost all others. The wheels make it mobile to push around to another part of the yard from where I store. The locks on two of the four wheels anchor to the spot to fire it up.The one things that could be improved is the installation manual. The manual is well written. I was able to follow the steps and put it together within 2 hours, given that I am not so handy around the house. There is one step, however, it instructs the user to remove a bard on the back. In the remaining steps, it never referred to this part again. I end up wondering how to install it back to the grill. So I suppose it was an re-enforcement for shipping. It would be nice to tell the user that this part will not be put back to the grill after the removal.

Very happy with this purchase. I like the dual system—gas-practical everyday use. The charcoal side is for my weekends. I have used it almost every day since I got it (2 weeks ago). The price is not bad and the item seems to work as expected. I love the bottom removable trays and the cast iron grates.

Decent Grill with decent price

Me and my whole family recently went to Miami for a quick vacation and we had barbeque their on her back yard, so I decided to order one grill for my house to so I can cook by myself on my back porch and it will be so convenient for me. Then I saw this grill with different features with a great price and I ordered it. Some of the best things I like about this grill was it’s so easy moveable that anyone can move it from one place to another. Me and my wife assembled this and took us like 35-40 mins to put all together, and it was so easy to assemble. I cannot wait to use this grill with my family and friends..

Perfect and works well as advertised
I ordered the grill before New Year’s Eve and I did receive it on time…There was one part that was missing and I contacted the seller and they did everything to get me that part.I am quite pleased with the fast delivery & this gas and charcoal grill combo, which works well as advertised.

Great family grill
I bought this grill as a replacement because the previous one was destroyed by a storm earlier this year. Assembly is straightforward, the instructions had pictures to follow so it was fairly easy. It cooks the food well and evenly. However, the grill heats up quickly so you really have to watch it carefully. The cleaning is easy afterwards. Overall I’m pretty happy with the quality of the grill.

Best BBQ
This oven is really great, first of all, the black design looks very stylish and is a visual feast. Secondly, the combination design of the frying pan and grilling grid is really considerate and makes cooking very practical. In addition, the design of the mounting holes for the roasting fork takes into account the needs of Christmas roast turkey, which is really meticulous. Also, the clever design of the oil catch pan makes cleanup easy and enjoyable. Finally, the detailed instructions ensure a simple and smooth installation process. Overall, this oven is indeed a good choice.

It is what I was expecting. It’s not easy to assemble but worth it. In the end, a flexible shaft and a screwdriver made my life easier. It is well assembled with piece inside piece, box inside box.
