Love this machine!
I had my carpets professionally cleaned by a highly recommended company. I felt like the traffic areas on my carpets did not get very clean. The carpet is not very old. The guy cleaning said that they could not remove the dark traffic areas completely. Fast forward to now and my carpets needed cleaned again. I hated spending $150 to just get told that the traffic areas would not come clean. So I decided to give this carpet cleaner a try. Not only did it do a great job cleaning, you cannot see the traffic areas anymore! I did use my own cleaning solution which is Oxy Clean, hydrogen peroxide, Dawn dish detergent, and water. But what’s also amazing about this machine is how fast my carpets were dry: in less than 2 hours!! Are you freaking kidding me?? I love this machine and couldn’t believe how much dirt it pulled from carpets. The cost of the machine is less than having your carpets professionally cleaned twice. Buy this, you won’t be sorry!

Crazy Good carpet cleaner
Our 2 dogs and 5 cats go in & out all day long on our 2 acre fenced in property. That means a lot of pet debri from the fields and animal hair hit the bedroom carpets. I had a 20 yr old small Hoover carpet cleaner that was marginally effective and the motor burned up. Read reviews on the various current brands/models and decided on the Hoover Smartwash pet carpet cleaner. I’ve used it for 3 whole house jobs, numerous small jobs and it is amazing! Lighter and more maneuverable than the large rental units, this thing is great. And I believe the carpet gets much cleaner being able to run the 3 step process. First process with soap/water/dry going down, second process with only water/dry going down & third process only dry. And you can do as many passes of each type as is necessary. My only problem is that the small soap container leaks constantly, so I have to empty it before storing in the closet. During the cleaning process, when you remove the soap dispenser to give the carpet a water only/dry option, I have to be able to prop the slanted soap dispenser upside down or will end up with soap all over the counter or furniture. Not sure if the leaking is normal but it is a problem. Still love the level of clean my carpet looks and feels with this unit.

Spend the extra $. But this Now!!!
This machine is amazing!!! I have previously owned two other cheaper machines that start with B and end with issell. This machine is way better! The presoak spot treatment, the powerful suction and the BEST part is… you can take it apart to clean the brushes!!! No more pet hair clogged, smelly machines!!!My carpet hardly even feels damp after using this machine. So glad I went with Hoover! The cleaning solution left my carpet looking clean without an overpowering smell! Can’t say enough good things about this machine!

Great cleaner!
Very easy to use and very easy to clean. I actually had fun cleaning. It removed long lasting, hard to get out stains and udirs I’ve had for over a year. I have 5 dogs, 2 were puppies and the urine stains, I finally got out with no effort with this. It’s worth the buy.

Must Buy for Pet Owners
This cleaner was impressive. A lot of thought went into the design- I love that all you do is push and pull- just like a vacuum. What stands out to me is that I’m dumping about the same amount of water that was in the clean water tank. This has great suction and my carpets felt nearly dry when I was done! My one “irritation” – parts dont click when their in place. I can easily see someone putting too much force looking for that audible click to know the tanks are on correctly.100% would buy again!

Great for pets and toddlers!
So far I’m loving this cleaner. I’ve had this cleaner for about a month now and have already used it a dozen times or so. Some for general cleaning and some for Pet accidents, and one involving a strawberry smoothie! Yikes! This cleaner has handled everything I’ve thrown at it like a champ! The strawberry smoothie was no match for it, even on the furniture! Pet pee-pee was cleaned up beautifully and odorlessly. This is my 4th different cleaner because non of my other ones have been up to the smallest challenges. I’ve had 2 smaller portable ones and another upright, and they all made the whole house stink every time I used them. They all also leaked… either clean water, dirty water, or both!!! So far, this one does not drip or leak, even after use like all of my past ones.At first it felt a little weird not controlling the spray, but you get used to it on like the third pass, lol. The Drying mode is a godsend too. I love it. The fact that you can kick it on and make some extra passes over your cleaned area is so awesome. The carpet is dry in way less time than a cleaner without that option. I’d say it was pretty dry in like 45 minutes. That time will probably vary depending on where you are, carpet type, how much you clean, etc… but I personally love the feature. The spot wand is pretty cool. My only concern there is that it is the main handle (it comes out by pressing a button on the main unit), so moving it around is probably going to be a little gentler process than some other models where the handle is permanently attached. At least there’s a carrying handle on the back of it. The wand has it’s own batteries and spot cleaner container, so you don’t need to go grab another spray bottle for those stubborn stains, it’s attached to the cleaner! The Pet tool works really well, my only gripe there would be that you should be able to attach it to the machine for storage. They provide a bag to store it in, but it would be nice to just snap it to the machine like vacuum accessories, but it’s not a deal breaker for me since I don’t use it every time. It did help out with that strawberry smoothie on our large ottoman. In all I’m a fan of this cleaner. I don’t feel like I’m using as much water or cleaning solution as previous cleaners and it does a better job than anything I’ve personally used. If you pets, kids, or both, this cleaner is a must!

Pretty fair, but not perfect
Purchased this as an alternative to those big store rentals. Having white carpet in our home, you really don’t get to slip on care, and with animals and kids…Read the reviews on here, which guided me in my search. Box arrived and I immediately put it to work.First impressions:The package was well sorted and the unit was very easy to assemble- no brainer. The included samples of solvent were also an expected touch- and while minimal was enough for a thorough clean of about 400sqft.Suction is very good and cleaning of the dirty tank was also fair.No heat function is mostly circumvented by using very hot water in the canisterNot as good at deep-cleaning as a rentalPros:Lightweight compared to any other I’ve used- a little more than a standard vacuumPowerful suctionEasy to care forCons:No heated water functionStair attachment is kinda a jokeCord is shorter than our standard vacuumDidn’t get as aggressive cleaning as a rentalOverall after my first use, I’d give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Will update in the future as time progresses.

Really Powerful Carpet Cleaner
The media could not be loaded.
This is a very powerful carpet cleaner. I don’t have pets. However, when I moved into our new home, there were tough stains that were stubborn to get out with the oxy pre-treat, and the Hoover cleaner you really did a good job. I have posted videos to show the progress at the end of the video I did. Share about a spot that I just needed to go over again and Shernoff. It was just as clean as the rest of the carpet bottom line 5 star review.

Almost Perfect-Feb ‘24 Review
The media could not be loaded.
Upgraded to this from an old Bissell model & almost perfect (shoutout to GoCleanCo for the recommendation). My review is based off of having 4 pets (2 cats & 2 dogs).Big pros: bristles clean but does not get clogged up by hair (see attached picture). Dirty water tank is very easy to clean.Cons: The pre treat wand is absolutely crap & not worth it. The stream is so wimpy I might as well just use a cup of warm water myself to pre treat. The machine is also bulkier than I expected.

Amazing carpet cleaner for the price
I was looking for a carpet cleaner that would clean up dog accidents and dirt tracked in from small kids who love to play outside. Our house has beige carpet unfortunately so every little stain shows.Suction and ability to get water out of the carpet was a priority for me because I don’t have all day to wait for carpet to dry. A similar model to this particular machine was rated a Consumer Reports Best Overall pick for carpet mAchines in June 2023. This model is close and does not disappoint. The machine is efficient in its use of soap and water so you can work for a while bedore stopping. It picks up a lot of water as you pull it back. I did as another commenter recommended – vacuum carpet well. Slowly…so…slowly…clean the area by pushing the machine forward and dry it by pulling back. Then repeat the process. Then repeat using only water. Then make a pass using the very handy ‘dry only’ function. Take your time. Key word is slow in both the cleaning and drying passed.Do you have to do all that? No. I was pretty happy with the first pass. But if you haven’t cleaned in a while and your carpets are gross, see above. As for commenters saying they lost suction 1) I’ve found that if I pick the machine up while it’s on it will lose suction and it won’t come back so I have to turn it off and back on. Only happens occasionally however. 2) you may have to empty the dirty water container and clean the small filter inside it. Takes two minutes and you’ll be back to work in no time.Lastly I love how easily you can disassemble the machine to clean the brushes. Really awesome feature!I’ve owned a lot of carpet machines. This one is amazing. My picture doesn’t do it justice because of crappy lighting but the difference between the dirty, not cleaned side (left) and the cleaned side was amazing.

Cleaning power is impressive!
We were finally “forced” into purchasing a new carpet cleaner, our old one never was quite the same after we let friends use it…Anyway, fast forward, we got a new dog, he’s a good boy but pees when he’s excited. He’s excited often. He’s getting better but I’m not here to talk about Mr. Peebody. This carpet cleaner is amazing! It’s super duper easy to use, it has common sense buttons, there’s no guess work to mix the cleaning solution in the water and the spot chaser wand is so much nicer than a spray bottle! I poured the spot cleaner into the spot cleaner wand tank and went to chase those spots! There were a lot. It’s battery operated and removes easily from the machine with a push of a button. While the spots were soaking for the 5- 10 minute time recommended, I filled the clean water tank and poured the carpet cleaning solution into it’s seperate little tank. This machine mixes the solution and water as it scrubs the floor! It washes on the push forward, dries on the pull back. So easy. There are two rolling brushes that scrub the floor. It also has a nifty “dry only” button!! THIS is my favorite part! Our last carpet cleaner left the carpets soaked, not this machine! We just had our carpets professionally cleaned about 4 months ago, so I was a bit surprised that this cleaner pulled out brown, gross and hairy water. I vacuumed beforehand but those two brushes found more hair than what my vacuum had. The clean-up was easy too, everything you need to clean comes off for a good rinse! The two brushes lift out easily too! Making clean-up super quick! I don’t want to forget to mention that the Hoover cleaning solutions aren’t heavily perfumed, most cleaning products exacerbate my asthma causing me to cough. Super annoying. Their solution didn’t have this effect on me, it’s not at all overpowering. I really like this machine, I’d say love but that’s weird.

Did a great job in my reptile room!
The media could not be loaded.
I needed something that would really suck the dirt out of the carpet in my reptile room, and this machine does the job better than I expected. Between escapee feeder bugs, dropping substrate during substrate changes, and bug bedding ending up on the floor, this carpet gets very dirty very fast (reptile keepers understand the struggle). I have used several different machines in the past, and none have been this easy to use or clean. This one gets more dirt out compared to others I have used as well. The first picture is before, the pic and video of the machine with the dirty water is after two passes across the whole room, followed by dry only mode after to get extra dirt and water, and the after pic of the floor is after my second time using the machine this week (so a total of 4 passes between the before and after photo). The pics do not do it justice! This is the cleanest I have seen this floor. It is at least two shades brighter than before and the carpet is very soft. I’m very impressed, and I’m happy to be able to sit on a clean floor with my reptiles.

So simple so effective!
Looks sleak and not much larger than a vacuum cleaner which is awesome because I use it more often because its so easy. Having it automatically push out water is amazing because it does just enough which saves a ton of time drying. Going backwards it automatically will suck up all the gross dirty stuff. Honestly my two favorite things about it though is, one, there is a tank for the water and a tank for the cleaning solution. No longer a need to measure anything out. And the other thing, it is so incredibly easy to take a part and clean. To put that in perspective, if I need to drill something in the wall, I have someone else do it. So, if I’m able to do it that you can too. GREAT PRODUCT. Very simple to put together, use, and clean. Super happy.

Money well spent!
First let me just say that I don’t have pets and didn’t buy this for anything pet related. I have two teenage boys who are filthy animals. They are constantly tracking dirt into the house or spilling something on the carpet. I bought this product in hopes of extended the life of the carpet in our house. Aside from weekly vacuuming the carpets haven’t been cleaned since we moved into our house in 2018. Needles to say there were plenty of really old stains and soiled areas of the carpet throughout the house. I was skeptical about this product and others like it because I just didn’t feel their was anything on the market that was up to the task of really deep cleaning my carpets. My first test run was successful. I used it on a small area downstairs that had some minor dirt spots and an old juice stain. It worked and afterwards you couldn’t tell where the dirt or juice stains had been. My second time I used it to clean one of my son’s rooms which was a challenge. I didn’t use any pre-treatment products but I did use an Oxy Boost product with the main cleaning solution. After one cleaning it removed 80-85% of the dirt, grime, and stains from the carpet. I was unaware of how to properly use the dry only feature so the carpet took half a day to completely dry. I decided to make a second go of cleaning my son’s room. This time I used pre-treatment solutions in addition to the Oxy Boost additive and the regular cleaning solution. I pre-treated what was left of the tough stains and left them alone for about two hours. When I returned to the room I could already tell that the pre-treatment was working wonders as the stains had already started to further dissipate. After a second cleaning and subsequent drying using the dry only feature I am quite pleased to say that there are no more stubborn stains left in the carpet and it looks, feels, and smells better than brand new. Using the dry only feature drastically improved the drying time and the entire room was 90% dry in 90 minutes and completely dry in two hours. This carpet cleaner is easy to assemble. Easy to use. Easy to clean and store. It is fairly light weight. It weighs only a few pounds more than my regular vacuum. It seems to be well built and of sturdy construction. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to breathe new life into their carpets. This will get the job done. My next project is cleaning my stairs and the backseat of my car. I will update my review with my results. Until then don’t hesitate to buy this carpet cleaner. You will not be disappointed!

Good features
I had to replace my old carpet cleaner/different manufacturer. I love the ease of use and for the most part, it is easy to clean after use. My only minor cleaning issues were, the purple filter is not real easy to pull out to clean and, the stair attachment is difficult to clean all the fuzz out when I had finished the job, it was minor. I tried to use a toothbrush but still could not get it 100% clean. I was very happy regarding the suction of removing liquid from the carpet, good power. The carpeted stairs look great. The hose was long enough to do all my stairs without having to move the whole cleaner in order to reach them all. 10 stairs in all. I really like how the cleaner solution dispenser works, premixing as I cleaned. It did a great job removing dirt. Overall, I am happy I purchased this carpet cleaner.

A Welcome Alternative to Professional Carpet Cleaning Service
After getting a couple of bids from professional carpet cleaning services, I decided to try a DIY approach. Research led me to the Hoover Smartwash. It arrived promptly, was easy to put together and even came with sample cleaning solutions. The instructions for getting started were easy to follow and within a few minutes I was cleaning my carpet. The carpet is 4 years old, is inexpensive mid-range quality, and has never been shampooed. It only gets use by two of us, retired and home most of the time. No pets, no kids.I am impressed. I really like the way it “washes” when pushed, then “dries” when pulled. After going over a small section washing and drying (push, then pull), I pushed the “dry only” button and it sucked the water and cleaner into the waste container while pushing AND pulling. I can see the wastewater coming through the head of the machine, so have a good idea when it has sucked all it can from the rug. Then, move on to the next section. It automatically mixes cleaning solution into the water for shampooing, and it doesn’t use a huge amount. I probably used less than a half pint of solution doing a 16×14 room. It feels quite dry after a short time if I have gone over it 4 or 5 times using “dry only”. It is completely dry within a couple of hours. Of course, this is in the summer in Northern California, so the air is dry and warm.Cleanup takes 15 minutes or so to empty the wastewater, clean the tank, clean the head which comes apart easily, and clean the rollers which also come out and go back in with no difficulty. In short, would I get better results from a pro? Probably, but at a much higher cost, negligible difference in appearance, and I avoid moving all my furniture if I so choose. It’s a quick and excellent solution for accidents. I empty the clean water tank but leave the solution in the container during storage.I tried the wand for spotting stubborn stains, but didn’t find it to be a big help. It squirts a very narrow stream and takes quite a bit of back and forth to cover a small (3-4″ diameter) spot and didn’t seem all that effective.I’m very happy with this product and highly recommend it.

Excellent carpet cleaner for home
The Hoover SmartWash has surpassed my expectations. It is very user friendly, simple to assemble, and easy to operate. It performed well on my nearly 10 year old stained carpet. It removed some very old, set-in stains. The absolute best part about the carpet cleaner is the ability to wash the area with cleaner, easily rinse with clean water, and then move to a dry only setting. The carpet is nearly dry if used correctly. We were able to move furniture back into the room within an hour of finishing the carpet cleaning.

BUYER BEWARE UPDATE
I purchased this last June. After only 5 uses it stopped spraying the cleaning solution – in November. It was good WHEN it worked. It was well past the return date to Amazon. Suffice it to say, dealing with Hoover has been nothing short of an on going nightmare !!! I have done everything they have asked of me & have no satisfactory solution at all. After jumping through hoops a gentleman told me it was covered by warranty. Keep in mind it’s a 5yr warranty. It is defective as determined by the customer service rep back in December I was led to believe they were going to send me a new one. Hasn’t happened. Now it’s the end of March. Their warranty is totally utterly useless. At the very top left side on the TROUBLE SHOOTING page of the user manual it clearly states ‘THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS NO SERVICEABLEPARTS”. I have a chain of emails from them. The latest was from fool who stated that I should take it to a service center. NO POINT if it doesn’t have “serviceable parts”. No resolution as of this point in time & I’mquite disturbed/ticked off to say the least.UPDATE: I had a very nice conversation with a woman from Hoover. I explained the whole situation to her ~including the “no serviceable parts”. She had no idea why, but assured me it wasn’t true. The upshot is that I will take it to the service place that was recommended ~ this way he can look at it & either fix at no charge or verify I need a whole new one. The woman I was talking to couldn’t understand why Hoover hadn’t told me to do this at the very beginning. So, I’ll give it a try & see what happens. At least she was able to lower my blood pressure :).

Product review
You can not go wrong with this cleaner. I waited for my review because I wanted to give a long term review. Have been using this product for several months. I have old carpet that I plan on replacing after I finish remodeling my house. When I first started cleaning my carpet, there were stains that would not come out. I used the spot sprayer a few times and were able to remove the stains. Because my carpet is old (about 20 years), I clean my carpet once per month. It works just like you are vacuuming you floor! I like the fact that you don’t have to squeeze the trigger to spray. One trick I learned for bad spots is to leave the cleaner over the spot and raise and lower the handle to switch from spraying to drying. One of the best features is the heater. The carpet is dry within about 30 minutes after cleaning. Cleanup is very easy and quick, though I must admit, it is a little tricky getting the back roller to pop in.

Carpet replacement postponed for a bit, thanks to this machine
I’ve been telling myself that carpet replacement is imminent, so what’s the point of steam cleaning? But when I realized my clean socks were dirty from walking on the carpet, I had a meltdown, did a few hours’ research, and bought this Hoover SmartWash. And I am over the MOON about it.In the photo, that’s not a shadow — it’s the actual nightmare that was this carpet on the left, and the newly cleaned area on the right. (I hadn’t yet pulled out the sofa to get up under the edges properly; the stains at the bottom of the photo are now completely gone.) I’ll discuss the cleaner first, then add a few tips that have helped me get the best cleaning experience from it.Fitting the pieces together takes a little getting used to, but all the parts fit snugly, and nothing leaks. I briefly lost suction after I emptied the dirty water for the first time, but that was because I hadn’t placed the lid back on correctly. (The lid on the receiving tank is a little fiddly, but if you pay attention to the logic of it you won’t have any problems.) The edging attachment works great — gets right up under the edge of the baseboard — but it’s quirky; I’ll get to that in a moment. If I could change anything it would be the “spot chaser” attachment. Since it operates on two alkaline batteries, it isn’t powerful enough to deliver a robust spray, but instead offers a water-pistol-style stream. I found the Hoover Oxi Spot Chaser very effective, but it takes a lot to fully saturate the stain (and if you aren’t thorough, it will come clean in the trickle pattern the sprayer delivers, leaving the rest of the stain behind). Now for the tips:– The solution tank doesn’t leak, but it does drip a little when you remove it. Keep an old towel handy to catch the drips. Ditto for the spot-cleaner tank.– Keep another towel by the sink where you empty the receiving tank and refill the water tank. It’s a messy process, not because of the design but because water + gravity = splashing.– While working, plan each forward stroke, going slowly where the dirt is heaviest to allow extra solution to dispense, and more quickly where the dirt is lightest. Ditto for each backward strike, going more slowly over the really dirty bits.– Don’t skip the plain-water rinsing step. If you work barefoot, you can feel where the carpet is wet with solution vs. where it’s just wet with water; that solution residue will attract dirt after the carpet dries. The rinsing step also lifts out additional dirt that the first pass brought close to the surface but didn’t quite get.– Extraction is your friend. Go slowly and let the Hoover suck every visible drop of water out of the carpet, bringing the dirt, dander, and dust mites with it. Your carpet will also dry more quickly if you don’t neglect this step (and in summer, a damp carpet easily becomes a sour, smelly carpet).– The spray from the edging tool will land a couple inches short of the baseboard. If you want it to reach all the way to the edge, you’ll need to lift the tool and angle the spray where you want it to go. Let the solution sit a little, then really work that tool into the gap, angling the head up and down to find the best suction. If you’re not especially strong, it helps to apply a little downward pressure with the opposite hand so it can really suck the water out. (Sadly, the brush won’t reach that gap no matter what you do. To remove trapped hair, you’ll need to go in first with a small, stiff brush.)– Clean the machine thoroughly after use, and allow all the parts to dry before reassembling it. Trust me on this. If you have pets, there will be a lot of wet, nasty hair that you’ll want to get out of there before it dries.– And finally, although I found the Hoover-branded cleaning solutions very effective, I obviously needed some extra oomph. I ended up pre-treating stains and traffic areas with a solution of OxiClean (1/4 scoop to 32 oz. water), applied with a spray bottle. Where necessary I later re-treated the especially funky stains with the Spot Chaser.I don’t always go on with product reviews, but the enthusiastic ones helped me, and I want to pass that along. Buy this machine. You won’t regret it.

I have used every carpet shampooer there is out there and never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be this happy with one. I have a house with 30 year old carpet with stains so deep nothing worked, until now. My carpet is back the light color it used to be. I give this 10 stars.

This was so easy to use right out of the box, 5 minutes and ready to use. This is a great full carpet cleaner and I did 2 rooms. It was wonderful not to have to hold a button down two spay, it does it for you…it switched over to the DRY ONLY, that was great to have. Did not have a chance yet to use the spray handle or hose attachment yet. A great cleaner, simple and powerful.

Convenient For Household!
In the passed I rented a machine, but had to clean whole house in one day or pay extra. That was very fatiguing on an old man’s back. It has suction problems if you happen to lift it as you’re moving it. Then you have to turn it off and restart it, but I’m getting more skilled at using it. It cleans the carpet well and cleaning the machine after use is easy as well.

Get pet hair OUT
The first 3 pictures are the rug I’m getting rid of and wanted to test the vacuum on, and that first tank picture is all it got out just from that tiny strip of shag rug! The second vacuum tank shot is how much it got out of my bedroom carpet which has only been vacuum with a normal vacuum. So gross!! You can see how murky the tank water is too. Can’t believe my old vacuum was missing all that cat hair

No tools needed to clean
After my last carpet cleaner died I started looking for one that did not need tools to take apart to clean. My last one died due to snapping a piece while trying to clean every crack and crevice after a huge dog accident blowout. I have had this one for almost a year now and I still love it. I wasn’t sure about the automatic spray when pushing forward but it seems to be working out wonderfully. The dry-only button is just a quick push. I love that there are lights right in your line of sight that light up Wash or Dry. I am getting a lot of use out of the spot wand sprayer. It’s much more precise and I feel like I can get a good amount on the spot versus using the spray bottle. We have a puppy currently potty training so I am getting a lot of use out of the wand. The carpet cleaner leaves the carpet soft after cleaning, I’ve never had a cleaner leave it this soft before. I have a Big Green Cleaning Machine that I use for the whole house deep clean but it is too bulky and heavy to pull out and use just for accidents. I may not even need to pull it out very often now, I feel this machine does such a great job. The only con I have is that the handle is pretty heavy. My past carpet cleaners have always had the tanks sit on the base, or the wheels. On this machine, all of the tanks are attached to the handle. When they are full, it can be pretty heavy to hold (the only reason for the star deduction). If you have a bad shoulder or back this may not be the right one for you. Overall I really love this carpet cleaner.

Great machine
I used it for the first time last night. I usually get my carpets cleaned professionally. Never again… easy to use, tanks are a very good size. (Not refilling them or emptying them out all the time). Woke up this morning and the carpet is dry. After use, it was so easy to take apart and clean. Totally in love with this..As far as using the hose or doing stairs. I haven’t had a chance to use that YET. It is a heavier machine so I imagine it will be hard to use for stairs. Great machine… highly recommend.

Best purchase worth your money
If you’re in doubt about purchasing something very costly out of your budget . I recommend you do researching. YouTube brought us to our final opinion about this carpet cleaning vacuum. We clean vacation homes and this vacuum did an amazing job as you can see here this was the finished product! Look at how good and clean the carpet turned out to be . Mind you vacation homes has a variety of different people checking in and out . They do a lot of hiking and camping might come back with very muddy shoes or just over all spill stuff on the ground on accident. I hate to say that I didn’t get a shot of the before but just buy it! I am not at all sponsoring for anybody this is just my honest experience and these pictures here are for you to decide whether or not to buy! Blessings !

WOW!!!
1. It is a dream to fill and empty. I think they really put a lot of thought into this. Our old one was a royal pain and it never seemed like it was rinsed enough.2. It’s easy to push around. I’ve had a stroke and things like that really matter. I don’t get exhaused just pushing this thing around.3. It ability to sense the pushing forward and automatically using water and cleainging fluid and then when you pull it back it sucks it all up. It removes the water REALLY well which means it dries A LOT faster.4. The cord is long enough to do the job without have to find a plug all the time. This is really the best carpet cleaner I have ever used and I’ve bought/rented a fair number of them. If you have pets like we do I really don’t know why you would use something else.

Even Better
My daughter borrowed my carpet cleaner and lost some parts that make it run. I looked around, but ended up buying another Hoover Pet cleaner. Here are the new things (since my last one) that really make it better. 1) The hose is long enough that I was able to do all of my stairs without dragging the carpet cleaner up and down them. 2) The cleaner now “self-propels” a bit, making it easy to push forward. 3) The top cover of the brushes come off, making it super easy to clean. When I pulled it off, I pulled an entire wet hair ball out. Kind of gross-but much easier than trying to remove it from the brushes when dry. I’m glad I bought this brand again.

Doesn’t get along baseboards
The machine works good but it takes several passes before it cleans. We love the dry function but wish we had control of when to use it instead of everytime we pull it back and it drying, especially when your not done cleaning the carpet. The machine doesn’t get close enough to the wall near the baseboards so there is an inch and a half that didn’t get clean. I called Hoover and asked for a tight spot tool to get to the baseboard area but it doesn’t fit my machine. The agent told me I could buy an additional machine for $99.00 which would have a tool that does get next to the baseboards. I told her after I just spent $270.00 I am NOT buying another machine just so I can get a machine that would clean near the baseboards and have to store it next to the other one. As discussed this is a huge disappointment and you can see in the picture the difference near the baseboard that didn’t get cleaned.

I am amazed!
Generally my carpet needed a good cleaning. I was debating whether to replace the carpet or whether to purchase this shampooer and give it a shot. Boy, am I glad I tried it. Saved myself thousands of dollars. The best 200 bucks I’ve ever spent. My carpet looks brand new and smells amazing. 100% totally satisfied with this product. It’s nice to be able to buy something that actually does what it says it will do. The dry time was faster than I would have ever expected. Super nice product. Very easy to assemble. I am very satisfied. I can’t say enough about this carpet cleaner. I had a couple of garage grease spots on light colored carpet. I sprayed with Dawn Power wash and the came right out. Just amazed!

10/10 Recommend
We purchased this carpet cleaner because at one point, we had 5 dogs living in our home with us. we constantly had accidents happen. Top of the stairs was clearly the worst of it.I kid you not, the second this arrived, i put it together and started on it. AND HOLY COW does it work! I used the spot chaser on the tougher stains and waited 10 minutes before going over it with the cleaner.I was blown away by the results. I knew the carpet stains were disgusting but compared to the before and after, i realize it was atrocious!I will definitely be going over my entire carpets with this just to make sure it’s clean!also, i love the dry only option so that you can make sure you get all the liquid out of your carpets!

Grreatt.
Honestly I have never been much to buy technology for cleaning except maybe a vacuum. I rescued a dog, though, and i caved. Now imagine the carpet of a depressed single mom and dog mom. This thing sucked months of self pity right out of my carpet. Obviously you should pre treat your carpet before putting this to use. It’s high tech (to me)…not magic. It is also more of the weight of a regular vacuum, not so clunky and heavy like other cleaners. While I was using it I kind of had that “is this it, am I doing it right” thought, because it’s just so smooth moving. Extremely user friendly. If you have pets I would recommend cleaning the brush between rooms because this thing will suck a whole new pet size fur ball out of your carpet.

Excellent cleaning
Used for the first time and I am very pleased! Cleaned carpet beautifully and the dry feature is a plus. Only issue in sometimes I am unsure if I put parts on properly”. For example the cover that goes over the brushes was not on right and the dirty water did not go into the tank. However once I realized that and repositioned the cover, rinsing and drying cleaned the carpet perfectly.

Exponential Improvements
I have had a Hoover carpet cleaner for more than 10 years. My old one, while still operational, was getting a bit “long in the tooth” so I decided to replace it. My major complaint about the prior model was the extreme difficulty in cleaning it. I had often said that they should make the design engineers actually clean one before they put it on the market. I checked this one out and was somewhat comforted that, at least, the brushes were removable so I thought that would be an improvement. Boy, was I surprised! I could not believe that it only took 5 minutes to clean up. There was not one nook or cranny where dirt/hair could not be cleaned out. It was a simple rinse of every part and wiping off the area that surrounds the brushes. Unbelievable! I am ecstatic. As a secondary wow — it cleaned so much better than the old one, was extremely light/easy to maneuver and the automatic wash/dry was awesome. Great job guys — you really outdid yourself!

Holy Cow this thing works!
So I needed a true wet, dry vacuum that could clean up dog urine and really get the moisture out of the carpet. I have tried the smaller vacuums that are convenient because of size, however, they have such incredibly poor suction that you might as well not even have paid for the unit. I read the reviews about this unit, and I want to thank everyone who gave the detailed reviews because this thing is absolutely incredible. There was one review where they were very specific about not depositing too much water into the carpet. With this vacuum, when you push it forward and it is plugged in and powered on, it starts to deposit the cleaning solution and warm water into your carpet so you don’t want to push it slowly. It needs to have a decent speed so that you are not putting too much liquid into your carpet. When you pull it back, it sucks the liquid out of the carpet along with all of the debris or dog urine or whatever you were trying to pick up. My recommendation is to put the vacuum in the upright position where it is locked, and then roll it forward on its wheels and drop it back into the functioning position and pull backwards. This will allow you to pull out the extra liquid and moisture in the carpet.I did this multiple times, and the carpet dried so fast. I cannot believe how incredibly well this worked. I was able to clean two rooms and have a very effective method to do so. I have already saved money by going this route instead of having a professional carpet cleaner come out. I am so thrilled that I bought this vacuum.

Leaves water if you don’t switch to dry mode
I like it. It cleans well, easy to use, works a lot like a vacuum. The thing to know is you push forward it sprays water, you pull back, it sucks it up. Well it puts more water down going forward than it sucks up going back (in my experience), so you have to hit the dry button and go back over everything. Not that big of a deal for me. It works fine otherwise, it’s pretty decent. Lots of plastic parts so we’ll see about longevity of this, but I like it for the most part

Really nice carpet cleaner
OK so I have had a Hoover carpet cleaner for about 5 years and I really loved my old one but it was time for a new one. It was the longest lasting and best carpet cleaner I have ever had.My first new one was an out of box failure. The solution tank leaked all over the floor and the nozzle was broken. But I returned it and got another one and my thought is that the first one was a fluke–it happens. More on that in a bit.I just finished using the replacement and it worked very well. The improvements are the dirty water tank has a completely removable top so it’s much easier to clean. Also the piece that covers the brush roll is larger and removable so it will be easier to clean as well and it will be easier to clean the rollers. The cleaning solution is now in a small bottle that is separate from the water tank. Instead of the spot treatment being on the side of the floor part of the machine it is now in the handle which is a removable wand with its own solution tank and you just remove the wand and point and spray –much easier to hit the spot than the old way.The suction is excellent and the carpet was almost completely dry after cleaning and it looks great! The only change that I’m not crazy about is you can no longer control the spray with a trigger on the handle. Instead there is a button on the body that you have to push to stop the flow of fluid so that you can go back over the area to get as much out of the carpet as possible. If it is not set to dry only then water automatically sprays as you push forward. It’s not difficult to push that button but it was slightly easier to have the trigger on the handle. Not a deal killer, just curious about the logic there. Likely it has to do with the handle now being a spot treatment wand. Kind of awkward but really mainly just different-I’m sure I will get used to it.The main complaint I have is that their customer service is hard to reach. I had waited nearly 30 minutes to chat with someone–you can’t find a phone number on their website but there is a card in the box that has a phone number so keep that. (I noticed that when I was repackaging the unit.) Once the representative came on after spending 30 or so minutes chatting back with that person and feeling like I wasn’t the only person she was dealing with at the same time, it was clear that I just needed to return the machine to Amazon instead of dealing with Hoover’s customer service. It’s not an uncommon phenomena today unfortunately. I almost decided to return it and not buy another one from Hoover because of it but my previous machine was really good so that definitely was the only reason I got an identical replacement.Just like anything else if you clean this machine, don’t leave dirty water in the tank and don’t store it in a place where it can freeze you will likely get many years of good use out of it. Hoover’s carpet cleaner is the only carpet cleaner I have ever had that I can say that about. Most lose suction and the performance is subpar but my last one never lost suction and always did a really nice job. I gave it to my son or I would still have it. I am hopeful that this new one will be just as dependable.

Amazing quality
Amazing quality. We were using a very old Hoover that we borrowed from my parents that still did a wonderful job of pulling up dirt but not so much of getting stains out. We purchased this model and were extremely pleased to see in just one run how much brighter our carpets visibly were! Absolutely amazed at how much it got out with all our children’s random messes/spills since we’ve purchased this! Highly recommend!

Best investment ever
I love cleaning products, stuff to clean with, stuff that makes cleaning easier. This is by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had a carpet shampooer for over a year but my dog ended up chewing on the cord now even with that it did work just not as well as it used to so when I would clean the carpet there was always this stain that never went away. Which is part of why we bought a new one. This carpet shampooer cleaned up stains, and so much dirt and dog hair even tho I just cleaned the floors earlier last week.

Easy to clean
I love this cleaner I have had a lot of them and most were hard to clean after use. This one can be taken apart to clean easily. I like the push forward to dispense the cleaner and you can lock for drying.Really like it

It really really cleans!!
I was skeptical about buying this. Price and review wise it was between this one or another. I chose this one. I am so glad I did! At first I had a big concern which was that there was no dedicated spraying button to release the solution/water to clean the carpet I wasn’t sure I would like to have a cleaner that when you pushed it away from you it released the solution/water and when you pulled it back it would extract the liquid from the carpeting. The first time ever using it I cleaned my daughters room. I loved how fast and easy it was. My beginner mistake was that I let the carpet get too wet. Leaning from experience you can go back and forth as many times as you like BUT put the dry only button on and walk around the area and it actually dries it. It takes time but watching water etc come up means it’s not in the carpet anymore. I moved to another strip of carpet and did the same thing. Her carpet dried overnight. Now that I am a professional at using this machine my carpets aren’t that wet. I have learned how to use itMy carpet has low pile, it’s also 14 yrs old. I get compliments all the time on how beautiful my carpet is.Of course I went to my mothers house. She has a few pets so I did her longer pile carpet and we both couldn’t believe how beautiful they came out.I used the “spot chaser pretreatment wand” only on a little area of carpet at my Mothers. One reason being, I didn’t really need it. The machine was doing all the work with just the solution/water it didn’t need the spot cleaner. Moms carpets were awful. A pup got sick and nobody would ever know. The carpet is beautiful! As for the spot chaser wand, if you do use it, it is battery operated. You won’t have to walk around pumping the trigger until your hand almost falls off.In a few years time when I need another carpet cleaner,I will buy this again. You will love it!!

Better then the old one I bought
The last one I bought 2 years ago died badly in the middle of a cleaning. This one is quieter and easier to move. I didn’t think I would like the separate containers for soap and water but I now love it, If I want I can add to the water for hard stains but they put a spot cleaner in the handle that detaches for spot soaking with cleanner. I love this one so far. PS the spot cleaner is battery operated.
