A good buy, but know what you are getting before you order
It’s a fridge with a separate freezer compartment, and it does what is is supposed to do–keep things cold! It’s a beautiful appliance that runs well and has excellent ratings, so I am happy with this purchase. But now for the complaints, such as they are. I didn’t realize it is made to let condensation run down the inside back of the fridge into a drain. English major! I don’t understand the mechanics of it or what happens to that water once it goes down the drain. You can’t push things on the shelves all the way to the back wall, or it will block this water flow and it may freeze on whatever is in the way. That is a little annoying, but as long as you pay attention, it shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t usually drink from aluminum cans or 2L bottles, so I have cheese and produce in the door racks. The door shelf in the freezer is tiny–don’t expect to put anything thicker than a frozen individual entree in it, or maybe a stick of butter. Warning labels on the appliance caution against poking the device with anything sharp or trying to service it yourself, stating that it uses an explosive chemical. I assume that is the new norm since Freon has been outlawed–because explosive refrigerators are better than… whatever. Since I don’t plan on tinkering with it or poking it with an ice pick, I think I’ll be okay.Otherwise, for a compact fridge, the freezer is a really good size–almost 1 cubic foot. The freezer will have to be defrosted eventually, but since it is separate from the fridge, that shouldn’t be nearly as often as other compact refrigerators. It comes with a dinky ice tray which is good for testing the temperature in the freezer and not much else, plus a small plastic ice scraper. The temperature control is just one dial for both the fridge and the freezer compartments, so you have to turn off the whole appliance to defrost the freezer. I haven’t owned it long enough to defrost it yet.The capacity is pretty good. In addition to the door items, I currently have about 5 lbs of apples in the produce drawer, 5 lbs of potatoes on the shelf above that, and various smaller items on top (including an ice-encrusted orange that rolled back into the freezing wall fountain). This would be good for use in a dorm, office, or tiny home, or for use by a single person who doesn’t cook much. So, those are the pros and cons. Overall, I think the positives outweigh the negatives, and I think I’ll continue to be happy with this as time goes by. Watch the price, which can fluctuate within just a few hours.

Excellent dorm minifridge
This is a good dorm minifridge. The freezer keeps things frozen, the fridge keeps things cold, and I don’t have to use the overstuffed communal fridges in the kitchen. It’s big enough to hold quite a bit of food, yet small enough to fit well in my ~200 sq ft dorm room. Highly recommended for any college student who wants/needs to cook for themself.Noise level: Quieter than I was expecting, makes a little humming noise. I have auditory processing disorder, so repetitive/constant noises drive me up the wall, but I’m really happy with this fridge. If the noise does bother you, it’s definitely quiet enough to cover up with a fan or soft background music. The shelves and drawer in the fridge are good sizes/spaced well for me, but if you don’t like the shelf you can take it out. The sizes of the door compartments are kind of weird, especially since I don’t drink soda so don’t use the soda can rack. If you’re willing to apply a little duct tape, though, you can do a lot with it. I kind of wish the freezer had a shelf so I could make ice more conveniently, but turning a mesh 8.5×11 paper tray upside down would solve that problem. The ice cube tray that comes with the fridge is really tiny, which I also like, since the ice cubes fit in my water bottles this way. The fridge also comes with an ice scraper, which I haven’t used on the fridge, but have used on my window when it iced up earlier this winter.I’ve only had one actual issue with this fridge so far: when it got to me, one of the leveling feet had cracked during shipping, so it didn’t sit level. A little duct tape fixed that right up and now I have no problem. It’s a really minor issue but I wanted this to be a comprehensive review.Overall, this was the perfect fridge for me. If you’re looking for a dorm minifridge I’d recommend getting this one since it has a good-sized freezer with a separate door, but if you don’t really need a freezer and just want people to stop taking stuff you put in the fridge, consider getting a different minifridge without a freezer. It cost around $150 when I bought it, so if the price is significantly higher when you read this, I’d recommend waiting for it to go down.

Five stars. Updated!
I read the reviews and tried using my Jedi skills to see if I could figure out which reviews were fake and which were real. Whether I was tight or wrong, I don’t know. However, I purchased this fridge and am so happy with my choice. I really wanted a double door. The noise level and interior design were not my first concern. Durability and dependability were. I have only had it for a couple of weeks now, but it is perfect for me. I wanted to have ice and water bottles close at hand and now I do. It came in a box that, were it not for the plastic straps, would have had the bottom fall out. But no damage. To be on the safe side, I set it up without plugging it in and let it sit for 48 hours. It’s quiet. So quiet. It holds a lot of water bottles. Yes, the interior design could be better for me. A shelf instead of a crisper drawer and a removable soda holder would address my needs better, but you can rarely have everything perfect. The fridge is in a carpeted room so I added some accessories. A heavy duty shelf to lift it off the floor and a rubber drip tray, just in case of leakage. I put sliders under the legs to minimize the indentations in the carpet. The fridge has plenty of breathing room on both sides and in the back. The temp has stayed great, very cold. My bags of ice stay perfect. There is a little frost build up on the freezer ceiling and sides after 2 weeks, which isn’t great as I really only access the freezer during a 3 or 4 hour period in the evening. I imagine that the build up would be more if it was accessed more often. All in all I am happy with my purchase and recommend this fridge.Update. Have had this a year now and still very happy with my choice. No problems.

Buy it for the freezer or at best a supplemental fridge
I bought this for my room because I didn’t want to have to go to the kitchen all the time to grab sodas etc. That’s what I think the best use case for this is. Lots of mini fridges have a small freezer section in the main fridge section which I have found to be completely useless in most cases. Frosts over real fast and never gets cold enough to freeze properly. This one is great as a freezer. Decent size and gets real cold. But that comes at a price of a small fridge section. I would not buy this for anything but as a supplemental fridge. The fridge section is simply too small, I think even for one person unless you want to go to the store multiple times a week. It’ll hold a couple of gallons of milk if you take out a drawer and a few things in the crisper. It will hold a lot of sodas in the door. I actually think this is a great beverage cooler and that’s probably the best use case.

Great mini fridge
I saw reviews saying this broke after a week and I saw some saying to leave it standing straight for one day before plugging it in. So to be EXTRA careful I let it sit for two days then plugged it in. I got it in August and its been working great. The freezer is a amazing size it can fit everything I need inside of it. the fridge size is perfect I can fit all my snacks, meals, and drinks. The noise is usually pretty silent it only makes noise when you open it and then makes noise for ten minutes at most. Both the fridge and freezer do ice up so you will have to scrape the ice every now and then. lasty DO NOT let anything touch the very back of the inside of the fridge otherwise it will freeze. Overall it was a great purchase and I highly recommended it.

This is not your father’s dorm fridge!
I am pleased beyond my expectations. The unit arrived in perfect shape. It’s a solid fridge with a nice exterior finish similar to larger fridges. I chose white. I’d heard from other reviewers here that the fridge was quiet, and I’ll attest to that. Mine either runs silently, or very near silently. I am the most pleased, however, about the astonishing coldness of the freezer. It froze a pint of Ben and Jerry’s so hard, I had to thaw it before I could dive into it. Freezer temperature had been my biggest concern. I’ve only used the fridge for a week, and only for milk and the aforementioned ice cream, but so far I’m really enthused.

2-Door is the way to go for mini-fridge
Purchased March-2015Had single door refrigerator in the past and was unhappy with freezer. Double door is the way to go.ProsFreezer:Keeps Ice Cream FrozenFreezes IceAdequate SpaceRefrigerator:Generous SpaceKeeps all my items cold (Ex: water, cold drinks, milk, salad, pudding, jello, cheese, mediation)QuietOver all look very pleasingCons:Inside of refrigerator door/can rack-hard to get cans outCareful-If you put items too far back in refrigerator they will freezeFrost/Ice in freezer/droplets back wall in refrigerator (see tip below)Tip-The frost/Ice in freezer and droplets back wall in refrigerator has not been an issue for me. This is what I have been doing and it so far has worked great. I have not had to defrost at all. Once a week I use the scraper sent with the Midea and scrap down the freezer, I then usemicrofiber cloth to wipe all the ice particles out. Only takes a couple of minutes. When I see droplets building up on the refrigerator back wall same thing. I use the scraper to scrap off the droplets and the microfiber cloth to wipe out. When I received my Midea refrigerator it was packed very well, there was a small ding in the back but it didn’t look like it was a problem. After unpacking and setting it up I let it sit 24 hours before plugging it in to let it settle from transit. Will try to remember to update as time goes by. This is my first review, I hope it helps someone.

Great Extra Fridge
With all that is going on right now with the pandemic I wanted to get an extra small fridge just in case we needed to stock up or our other fridge broke down. I was looking for something a little bigger than a typical dorm room fridge and this one I thought was great for a really reasonable price (I paid just under $200)I decided to get the black one because while I have stainless in our kitchen it’s constantly smudged and I thought the black would be better. After reading the reviews about dented items, I was nervous but mine arrived in perfect condition. It comes in a box with a ton of foam to cushion it so it has to be really thrown around to get bashed in like that. One thing that would have been nice is if they had put unpacking instructions on the outside of the box but I figured out that I needed to peel the paper away rather than trying to turn it sideways. I probably should have brought it to the basement and then unboxed it so I’d suggest moving it where you want. There are some sharp edges at the bottom and when we lifted it to carry it down the stairs I put a small scratch in my wood floor. So be careful of that.I took the advice of some reviewers and let it sit overnight before plugging it it. FYI the instructions are inside in the drawer. I could not see the booklet because it had plastic around it that just looked like padding. Not much in there but it does tell you how to set the temp. It comes with a small ice tray. When I plugged it in the next day it started right off and was super quiet. I put some water in the ice tray and a couple hours later I went down to check and it was mostly frozen.I really love that this has a separate fridge and freezer. Also the freezer is a good enough size that you could keep a few things in there. Also I like that there is a drawer in the fridge portion. It’s perfect. You can also take the drawer out if you want to. I think I could put a medium sized turkey in there to thaw. It’s really roomy. The compressor is located at the bottom in the back. That is completely open, but be aware that it cuts into the space inside the very bottom of the fridge.I am really happy with my purchase and feel confident recommending this to anyone in need of a small fridge. Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Leaking water
I love this fridge, i’ve had mine since 2020…. HOWEVER, a few months ago it started leaking an alarming amount of water and I cant tell where its coming from! I do not keep beverages in this unit and I see no ice build up in the freezer or the back of the fridge. where the hell is this water coming from?!?! And by “alarming amount”, i mean pouring…. I keep it on a small table to give it better height (I have back problems) and im woken up every other day with a waterfall pouring onto my bedroom floor. Ive scanned all the reviews here and read the manual and i cant find any answers! I would rather fix this than replace it since it is such a wonderful little fridge regardless of the leaking 🙁

Works pretty much as advertised. Keeps things cold.
Easy to set up. I did let it set for about 10 hours before installing since several commented on the importance of that. Just plug in. Freezer keeps items very cold. Main refrigerator does not keep as cold as a full-size refrigerator but certainly adequate. Refrigerator door shelving not that useful since things tend to fall out if not placed just right. Could not hear it running. Very quite. Delivery was just as promised and well packed. No damage to the item. My refrigerator stopped cooling as much as it should so I purchased the mini-refrigerator to help tide me over until I could get the refrigerator repaired. Had to use it for more than three weeks but it worked well. Would recommend.

Great energy-efficient mini fridge
I bought this after exhaustively searching for a small energy efficient refrigerator to use in our cabin in the CO mountains that has 350W of solar panels and a 12V input, 500W sine-wave inverter. Its Energy Guide says it uses 270kWhr of electricity per year. That’s 740Whr/day which, for our cabin, is only about 2.5 hours of sun/day, counting conversion losses. I have a watt meter and confirmed it is that energy efficient. We really wanted a unit with a separate freezer section and this one works great. It’ll freeze two trays of ice cubes in a few hours. I have no idea on Midea’s long-term quality but I did buy the Amazon 4 year extended warranty. BTW, we had no problems running it off the 500W sine-wave inverter. BTW2, you can barely hear this thing running even when your only 6′ from it.

One complaint: difficult to reverse doors
This is a great little fridge, but I still decided to give it four stars. Once I received the refrigerator and configured it in the tight space it was intended, I realized it would be much better if the doors swung the opposite way. So I looked at the product information again, and the refrigerator hinges, and it claims to allow for reversing the doors. It looks possible. However, it is not as easy just to unscrew the attachments and bam you flipped the doors. You will need some drilling and some tools and skills. For example certain drill points are indicated on the opposite side, but you still need to drill through metal to complete the installation. So the product adds this as a feature, but in fact it wold be tremendously difficult to do so. Therefore basically you can’t really reverse the doors without a massive operation to do so. Not worth it. I’ll probably buy another fridge and sell this one.

Absolutely Amazing Compact Refrigerator
I personally bought this compact refrigerator for two reasons. First, my roommates kept eating and drinking my food. Secondly, I wanted to have cold drinks without leaving my PC. So I started a quest to find a mini or compact fridge that fit my needs and budget, which eventually lead me here to this Midea compact refrigerator. Apon arrival the fridge was full assembly and in perstine condition. After I inboxed it and decided where in my room to put it. I let it sit up right, unplugged for an entire day. So to the pros and cons.Pros:-Budget Friendly-Hold a fair amount consumables-Freezer actually freezes-Minimal noise (most fan are louder)-Relatively lightweight (only important for those taking this up a flight of stairs)Cons:-Beverage holder in door is tightSo I’d totally recommend this compact refrigerator to anyone looking. If my feeling change towards this product change I’ll update my review, though for now I’m throughly impressed with the product.

Best mini fridge
This fridge has been the best purchase. I specifically chose this because the freezer size is bigger than other typical ones I saw on the market. It’s exactly what I wanted so I can fit an individual tub or two of ice cream. I wish the temperature of the fridge could be just a bit colder. It’s already at the max temperature but just a little colder would be perfect. Lastly I was very impressed at how quiet it is. I have it in my bedroom so I was worried it might be noisy but I sometimes forget it’s even there.

This is the ticket. It’s so quiet you have to get down on your hands and knees to be able to detect it is even on.
This is the real thing. Space inside is huge for a small compact fridge. The noise level is as nearly non-existent as it can be without it being unplugged. You have to actually get down on the floor and put your ear next to it in order to hear anything at all; it is that faint. I chose the black with the stainless front which goes very well with the color scheme in the room. You can save 50 bucks and get a compact fridge that is 1.6 cu ft instead of 3.1 but who wants one of those tiny built in freezer cubit that is really not big enough to even put ice cubes in. With this one you have a large rectangular area that is large enough to put several things in, and the overall height is only 33 inches to it takes up very little space.I just ordered another one. I wanted to get the first one and set it up before ordering another. This is the ticket. Mine arrived perfectly undamaged although UPS did manage to poke a small hole in the box on the one side. Fortunately it was in an area that was on the back of the fridge where nothing was; so it arrived perfect. Highly recommended.

Works well but isn’t perfect.
It seems to work well, as in- it functions as it’s supposed to. It’s fairly quiet, it looks nice enough for what it isI don’t like that it’s not frost free- My fault I should have read the description better, I just assumed than a 2 compartment mini-fridge would be frost free like larger refrigerators There is ice that forms on the back of the refrigerator compartment and frost forms in the freezer that you have to scrape out from time to time.My biggest annoyance though is with the spacing of the shelves. Every other mini-fridge I’ve owned seems to be planned out for common things to fit inside them. This fridge isn’t- Half of the door is taken up by a somewhat pointless can dispenser thing- it works, but honestly I think just regular shelves would be better instead of a can dispenser. The shelves aren’t spaced correctly to fit cans or bottles. None of the shelves are tall enough to fit a beer bottle standing up and are a lot taller than a can, it’s just oddly spaced.I just feel like it’s weirdly space inefficient inside because of odd shelf spacing, which is kind of annoying in something intended to save space.

Loud
It’s an okay fridge. It’s a little loud. It runs a lot. I can hear with my noise canceling ear buds in. If you want a quiet fridge I wouldn’t get this one. I shopped around and it said this one was quiet. I may end up returning.

Very quiet, works well
Most important for me: this fridge is completely quiet except for an occasional low noise motor noise which I think all fridges do. Easy set up, haven’t had it long but seems to stay cold, separate freezer area does freeze ice cubes. Only thing I would change: I hate how much space is lost to a can storage area. Either that should be removable with some alternative shelf, or offer a version without this. Highly recommend this fridge.

Freezer fridge and heater xD
I really like it the fridge and freezer are cooler than a normal fridge ontop of that if I leave the office room door closed for 10 hours and then open the door the temp of the house increases by multiple degrees for a bit and the funny thing is I’m not kidding the house went from 62 degrees Fahrenheit to 68 when the outside was only 53 out that’s not even mentioning the fact that the office is never cool (which is a double edged sword because it takes 10+ minutes to cool the room) but if I’m being honest i feel like the heat is worth the nice refreshing drinks and the cool fruit I get from it

Quiet enough, but could be quieter
To be fair, it’s not noisy. Actually, I am not sure if there is any fridge on this planet that’s quieter than this product. But I still hope Midea can make the compressor even quieter. I may be that type of consumer that’s hard to please, but I can still hear it at a level that prevent me from falling asleep as fast as if it’s quiet when my head is 6 feet away from it and I have to move my bed so my head is 12 feet away from it for the noise to half. At that level, the speed of me falling asleep is not significantly affected. When I am working during the day, the noise are still a bummer, and I have to turn on some music to cover it. Light music is enough – no loud music needed. If you don’t turn on the music, that low level of groaning sound in the background is still difficult to ignore and your ear will just keep picking it up which can be (slightly) distracting. But sometimes if I am really concentrating, that noise doesn’t get filtered in somehow.I think the issue is mini fridges all have to work harder than their larger counterparts and this makes them literally working non-stop (literally 24/7). My midea never stops working. Not a second. The larger fridge are louder when they are working, but most of the time they don’t work and it’s only when you open the fridge for a while searching for food that they start to work to replenish the lost cool.Update: There is one minor issue – that frosting tends to accumulate on the back panel of the fridge compartment. To battle this issue, I regularly turns the fridge off and the frosting will go in 12 hours. Further, to prevent them from accumulating, I adjust the knob to “minimum cool”. It’s a small fridge so even the minimum coolness will be enough.

Nice little fridge
Fridge arrived slightly damaged in one corner, but doesn’t seem to affect anything. Set it to Medium and it hit 40F in a couple of hours. Loaded it with food and it was back down to 40F the next morning.Freezer: Has ample room for a unit this size.Refer: The storage in the door is a joke. It was so bad it made me laugh. The rack that I assume is to hold soda cans is almost non-functional. No thought whatsoever was given to it’s design. You can get the cans in there, but you will probably give up before it’s filled. And that’s after you’ve taken the time to form a battle plan. However, getting the cans out is pretty easy to do. So, half the door storage space is pretty much gone. The back of the refer interior is where it gets it’s cold from. Anything making contact with it will freeze. They conveniently included an ice scraper for scraping both the freezer and fridge.Oddly, the top, bottom and sides of it are covered with clear plastic like you find stuck to the screen of a brand new smartphone. Presumably to protect the finish, but I’ve never seen that on a fridge before. It’s a real pleasure to peel off, if you’re into that sort of thing.Overall, I don’t feel it was wasted money. It’s quiet and pleasing to the eye. And most importantly, it keeps things nice and cold/frozen.I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because of the refer door fiasco and the freezing in the back of the fridge.

4 months so far. Not terrible
PROS:It’s still working well 4 months on. For anyone worried about the energy efficiency, I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve measured 1.91 kwh over the past 162 hours which works out to just 103 kwh per year or under $14 annually. That is less than half of what energy star projected for this model.CONS:When the compressor kicks on it’s not as quiet as a hoped. Louder than the full size refrigerator in my kitchen, and it’s kind of a sharp high pitched noise that will surely annoy some, and I wouldn’t have it very close to where you sleep. I did accidentally have the unit upside down for a bit so maybe the noise results from damage from that, but other reviews mentioned similar complaints. I also find the inside is not very space efficient. Most notably, I have no idea what one is supposed to do with the left side of the door. I’ve never had product that could be easily inserted and retrieved from the weird structure it has there. I included a picture of that for reference.EDIT: Seems that door thing is for aluminum cans: soda or beer or whatever. If you don’t have any in your fridge you will be hard pressed to find a use for that space.

Can’t beat this fridge
Simple as that. Amazing price for the size and separate freezer. Gets very cold, actually so cold things in fridge freeze on coldest setting. A little over medium keeps frozen things frozen but doesn’t freeze the fridge items. Still, i find it useful to cram a shopping bag to the back to insulate a dozen eggs, or the back 2 to 4 might freeze and break. Super minor everyday life stuff. Great fridge. Been using as main fridge in cabin for 3 years. Getting another for my son.

Happy So Far!!
Bought this for work. Keeps yogurt, juices, water cold (38 degrees in the fridge section, and 15 below zero in the freezer compartment (I bought thermometers for both sections). I defrost the unit once a month (takes about an hour). Bought the extended warranty just in case, but so far there have been no issues. I’m happy with this unit.

Worked for icecream ..I have a witness
It hardened my soft ice cream on my 2.5 hour journey. ( I have this mini fridge-frezzer installed with inverter in my minivan as part of my setup…let’s see if it works. 1st test) I had earlier bought a 1/2 gallon of ice cream put in regular ice cooler in a different car. When I got home I put it in home freezer but in journey back home the ice cream had gotten a little soft. Prior to putting in home freezer I had my wife feel the 1/2 gallon of ice cream to see how soft it was…she acknowledged. Prior to leaving home I had mini fridge pre chilling..running off home extension cord with a bottle of frozen water in freezer to pre-freeze the mini freezer for 3 hours plus. Switched ice cream from home freezer to mini fridge freezer (icecream still soft..wife acknowledging..needed a witness) left on our 2.5 hour journey and when we arrived I pull out icecream and it was firm-wife acknowledging. My plan of the mini fridge with freezer had worked as hoped and envisioned for traveling with icecream. The fridge part also worked. Now our trips to the drive in theaters will be that more enjoyable .Note on fridge glass holding trays I did stick some little plastic transparent sticky button size little pads: 2 on each bottom side of the glass trays to dampen road bumps and potholes as to keep the glass from beating up and down against the plastic holding slots. And mini fridge freezer is quiet.**Thanks to you who had reviewed earlier on this purchase it helped big time in making my decision to purchase and that’s why I’ve reviewed.

Just fine
It does not have feet on the back side of the fridge, so there is no front-to-back adjustment. And, if you have a wood floor, you may want to consider some tape to prevent scratches from the metal on the underside. The fridge is relatively quiet, looks fine, and works great. I just am very surprised it does not have these back feet – there are tapped holes for them (and feet on the front).

Very solid and reliable. But slight outdated shelving arrangement.
Only 2 complaints. One is that it doesn’t have multiple slots to adjust the height of the top shelf glass. So a lot of beverage items you have to lay on their side. Two is the 12 oz. can holder on the door. When I first got the refrigerator, the 2 metal grates were reversed. The one with the “ramp” to push cans into was on the bottom. So you had to put one can in, then push it up, and hold it with one hand while putting another can in. And it was very tight. One can popped while trying this the first time and made quite a mess. Very strange. So I reversed them so the opening is on top, which I thought was the correct placement. Seems to work better. As far as taller items, I had no need for the vegetable bin, so I removed that and the half shelf above it so I can put larger items down on the bottom. Other than those 2 weird things, this is a very reliable fridge. Doesn’t make any noise at all, and keeps things quite cold.

WARNING*** Don’t plug it in too soon!
If unit was transported or stored laying down, or tilted at all, you NEED to let it sit unplugged for several hours, the compressor oil seeps into the coolant lines and needs to sit unplugged and settle back into the compressor where it belongs,.. if you plug it in before this happens, the oil will circulate with the coolant and clog the lines, and will ruin the whole refrigerator, I let mine sit for 24 hrs to be extra safe because I didn’t know how it was stored or transported, I would reccomend at least 4 hours minimum, I’m sure most of the low reviews that said their refrigerator stopped working after a day or a few days would have had No problem at all if they let the fluids settle for a few hours, be patient!…mine has worked perfectly for several years, Very Satisfied!, dont anticipate any problems at all! Let fridge settle unplugged Even when just moving or tilting the refrigerator…(better safe than sorry) !!! I got the 2 door model, That’s the way to go!!!

So far so good. Quiet. Keeps food cold or frozen as needed..
The refrigerator in my rental apartment died at the end of April. Because of the corona virus pandemic, the property management office at the site of this apartment complex closed its doors in late March. The employees are working from home. Because so many businesses went into lockdown mode in late March, it takes longer to get supplies and services, if they are available at all. Since being completely without refrigeration became an unacceptable emergency, I ordered this small refrigerator to use until the larger one in my apartment can be replaced. I have to tell you, so far, it is doing a good job, keeping the food cold, and also frozen in the upper freezer compartment, which has its own separate door, very beneficial to prevent the frozen food from being exposed to the warm air in the apartment every time the lower part of the fridge is opened to retrieve something. Obviously, this is not a full size refrigerator, but the freezer compartment is much larger than I expected it to be. This refrigerator is also very quiet. The only feature which it has that I personally don’t need is the section inside the door to hold soda or beer cans. I just use it to hold some other small stuff. The Midea refrigerator has definitely been a life saver for me, and I also felt that it was affordable. I’m very happy to have it.

How I keep ice cream frozen
I’ve had my refrigerator for about three weeks. I works fine and looks great. I have to stand next to it to hear it running. It keeps ice cream solid, provided it is operated at fairly constant ambient room temperature. There is no thermostat in the freezer, which means the lower part has to cool fast enough to run the pump often enough to keep the ice cream frozen. I have mine in my garage where the room temperature ranges from 60F to over 80F. When set to medium with temperature above 75F degrees I always have solid ice cream. The cooler it gets, the higher I have to set the thermostat (and the colder it gets in the lower part). It would probably start to have problems keeping ice cream frozen in a room around 50F degrees but the lower part would also be below 32F. I think this is just the thermodynamics of a single thermostat system; i.e., avoiding this is the reason for a separate freezer thermostat. Once set to keep ice cream hard in a living space with temperature control, it should be fine.

Damaged in Shipping but Works!
Arrived damaged but working. The box protecting the refrigerator looked to be typical wear and tear with shipping, no rips, tears or noticeable damage when it arrived. We decided to unbox at the dorm instead of at home to ensure it didn’t get scratched or damaged while transporting it to college. Upon opening the box the top of the refrigerator was seriously damaged as you can see in the photos. We are frustrated it was damaged but if this fridge can take that kind of abuse then plug in it says a little something about craftsmanship. Also note that there are not any working parts on the top just insulation but still… It was left on our porch upside down when delivered and there are not any up or down arrows on the outside of the box to justify direction on proper placement.Hey its for college so we will deal with it! Again, it works GREAT!Craftsmanship 5/5 stars Starts cooling right after you plug in. Freezer work great. Was set on Medium and placed frozen item in after 30 minutes/no melting!Whoever damaged it in shipping, not being honest about it and leaving me with the bent fridge should be fired. The damage done to it would of been noticed, its badly bent on the top. -1 star to the person who ruined it.

Works well, but not roomy
The refrig/freezer is very nice. Just one thing that is a little disappointing…the glass shelves have fixed heights. I ca n fit the tiny 6 oz water bottles on top shelf, but can’t even fit a capris sun juice box on the next shelf.

LOVE IT
It doesn’t make any noise at all. It gets cold fast so you don’t have to wait a long time to use it. The freezer is huge so you can fit a lot in there ( the picture doesn’t do it justice.) the fridge part has a lot of space to , when it comes to the soda can part make sure you don’t put to many in there or else it will be hard to pull them out but other than that everything about this is PERFECT. & I’m so HAPPY I bought it.

Great Little Frig/Freezer
I’m very happy with my little Midea refrigerator/freezer. It arrived in great shape and does exactly as stated. It runs quietly and is like a “mini” full-sized frig/freezer. It truly keeps frozen things frozen and refrigerated things very cold. I have to be careful about placing things next to the frig walls that I don’t want frozen, as it will get really cold in the refrigerator portion, too. I like it like that, as I keep milk in the frig and it needs to be as cold as possible to stay fresh a long time after opening.Currently in the frig I have twelve soda cans, a 59-oz bottle of juice, a 16.9-oz bottle of water, a pack of string cheese, two tubs of cream cheese, an oblong butter dish with butter, a pack of walnut pieces and a pack of pecan pieces, two 6-oz containers of yogurt, a quart of milk, some shredded cheddar, a portion of a pack of process cheese, a small tub of candied pecans, a 20-oz bottle of club soda, and a pack of bacon pieces. I had some packaged bacon in there until recently, simultaneously with all that other stuff. In the freezer I have a half-gal. of ice cream, two loaves of whole grain bread, 4 coolee packs, a box of butter sticks, and nothing in the freezer door yet. So it’s very roomy. It does need to be scraped (it doesn’t defrost on its own). But all-n-all, I’m very pleased with my frig/freezer. It’s bigger than I thought it would be, internally and externally — I am very pleased.

So Far Pretty Good
I struggled trying to find a fridge for my work office. There are so many different types but I was happy to see there were some with an actual separate freezer! If this wouldn’t have come with minor cosmetic defects… it would have been a 5/5 so far.Pros:* Looks good (even with a few scratches/dents)* Two sections – one freezer and one fridge* Gets really cold* Is not loud at all. I had to check it multiple times to make sure it was on.* Mine came with a small ice tray and a de-ice scraperCons:* Scratches/Dents from shipping* It was a lot taller than I thought* It looks like I’ll need to de-ice it every month or so but shouldn’t be too bad.I’d recommend this fridge. Dents/scratches are bound to happen when they are shipping these types of items. I’m a bit more lenient if they aren’t incredible or as long as they don’t compromise the objects job…which it doesn’t appear to be. If this would bother you then I suggest going to a store to purchase.I will update if this fridge dies or things change.

The Lil’ Refrigerator that could.
Separate freezer is awesome, roomy. Main refrigerator also good but the fruit bin is laughably shallow. Pictures of teeming fruit and veggies is just not true unless u stack them in a single column. Not a deal breaker, just a buyer beware. Wish they and all mini fridges would do away with the horizontal can holder in the door. Nothing fits except soft drink cans so if you don’t drink canned stuff you given up valuable space. Would be better to have 2 or 3 smaller shelves for condiments. Operates well; holds temps, quiet, looks decent. BUT….mine also arrived dented on side. WTF??? Had to use it when it arrived, so return was not an option. They ought to give a rebate for that. Also, not cheap, didn’t have time to research but this should be $50 less. Would I buy it again? Highly likely.

Awesome Compact Fridge
This fridge works so well, and l like it so much I’m getting ready to purchase the 3.0 cu. ft. stand up freezer. It’s true the fridge and freezer do not self defrost, but the fridge is well built, function as described, serves the purpose for which it was purchased very well. The purchase price is a bonus on top of its great performance. Excited about placing an order for the freezer.

No dents or scratched. I let the frig sit in my bedroom for 2 days before plugging it in because unsure if it was sit on its side during shipment. Letting it sit without being plugged in allows all internal liquids to settle in correct position. After being plugged in, I’ve cubes have already frozen in freezer. It runs as quite as a whisper. It’s silver in front and the top and sides are black. It’s actually more like a piece of furniture than a refrigerator. One of my favorite purchases on Amazon. Don’t hesitate if you’re considering a mini frig cause this one couldn’t be more perfect!

Great unit!!
This is a great refrigerator in this size range and with free shipping I had to jump on it. Previously, I had a smaller refrigerator, the kind without a separate freezer. The freezer was completely useless and just accumulated ice, so nothing could be put in it. I hated it, but it was free. Finally, it “gave up the ghost.” I really took my time in my search for a replacement. I searched all over Craigslist but couldn’t nail one down. Then I came across this model. I love it! The freezer is separate and really works well. The larger part takes some creativity when arranging the contents in order to get a maximum load but I don’t mind at all. It’s not noisy, and I’m a recording engineer, so I know about noise. The shelves a glass and easy to clean. I have it set to less than 50% cooling and my food is plenty cold and frozen in the freezer. It’s winter now and I’m sure the summer will be different, but the unit isn’t laboring all the time. $160 is a bargain for what I got. I also got a three-year warranty for about $20. I’m totally satisfied. If you need a real freezer in a small fridge, then this might be what you want.

Very disappointing mini fridge
This product is way too overpriced for what it actually provides. First off, the freezer on my unit only works in fluctuation. In other words, it seems like half of the day the freezer will work just fine, but then the other half the temperature will fluctuate to the point where stuff you have in their (such as ice cream) will start melting. Essentially the freezer should only be used to store things momentarily or if you’re really trying to get certain items cold very quickly. The fridge itself is okay. It still has a bit of temperature fluctuation as well, but not as bad as seen with the freezer. The main problem I have with the fridge is that the very back is much colder than the front, so if you have the fridge at a decent temperature, some things may freeze back there. The reason I gave this three stars instead of 1 or 2 is because if you’re looking for a mini fridge that you can use as a side-kick for your main refrigerator, such as to put some drinks, snacks, desert, etc. in, this will work great. HOWEVER, given the outrageous price of this thing, I would not recommend at all. You can get other mini fridges for half the price that do the exact same thing. If this was priced closer to $100, I think this would be a decent buy, but at over $200, it definitely isn’t imo.

Overall very nice mini fridge
Purchased this as a secondary drink/sweets fridge. The packaging came undamaged, and no damage to the fridge itself. It is pretty light and suit my needs. Although it was delivered to me upright, I let it sat for 6 hours before plugging it in, and worked like a charm. With setting on MED, freezer is at about 0F, and fresh portion is at around 42F. So the lower portion is slightly warmer than I expected, I would’ve expected 0F and 38 F, but for the price I’m not complaining much…It cools fairly quickly, from room temperature to desired temperature it only took about 2 hours, and the compressor does not run that often to maintain the temperature. But the compressor is noticeably louder than the main fridge in my kitchen. In fact I barely hear my main fridge running unless I’m next to it, but you will know when this thing is ON. Since it’s not placed in my bedroom, it doesn’t bother me much as long as I got the door closed, but it’s definitely not the quietest compressor ever…

Perfect College Dorm Refrigerator
I’ve been using this fridge for two years now and it still works great! It’s a little bit bulkier than most mini fridges that I’ve seen my friends use but this one has a dedicated freezer section that’s good at storing boxed stuff. The freezer does frost up a lot if you leave it open for too long, but the scraper it comes with is good enough to take care of any buildup. The lower refrigerator compartment is very versatile. I especially like the can holder side, which can hold a whole 12-pack of pop cans or whatever else you want that’s stored in a normal-sized aluminum can. It’s a great investment if you’re going to use it for a number of years!

My Fridge broke & bought till afford full fridge
UPDATE JULY 2020(having no other choice due to Pandemic)>> THE FREEZER IS TOTALLY UNRELIABLE TO KEEP FROZEN FOOD (Grocery Store Lean Cuisine et al) can go bad as the Freezer’s temp gets so warm, Ice cream softens to almost melting… But meals end up defrosting and refreezing so many times.. Got sick, and realized can’t trust Freezer EVER.______________I was desparate but broke when my refrigerator broke.1. I don’t care, but silver decorative panels, arrived with some big dents/scratches2. No real issues with the unit working, very mild noise.3. TEMPERATURE – Now that can be tricky. Initially on MAX, after a week, just barely cold enough in freezer. But ADJUSTING IN TINY TINY MICRO TURNS ON TEMP DIAL. THEN WAIT A DAY TO SEE IF ANOTHER MICRO TURN EITHER UP OR DOWN.Mistake to do big dial changes. Seems to get the fridge freezer Temps get confused.4. SMALL. Had to remove shelving in fridge to make perishable foods fit in.

A quiet, lovely fridge
I originally got a GE minifridge and while it looked great and had lots of space, it had a HUGE scratch on the front from transit :(After I returned it, I rethought spending that much on a minifridge, and purchased this one instead. Turned out to be a great choice! It looks smaller on the outside but the interior appears to be the same size. It’s extremely quiet, super cool even on medium, and keeps my drinks one step from frozen in the back, just how I like them. Perfect. It’s right next to my bed and I’m a very light sleeper, but it’s often silent and the occasional quiet hum has not bothered me.Also, huge props to Amazon’s delivery service. With the first fridge, FedEx dumped it at the bottom of the steps. With this one, Amazon’s delivery person brought it up the steps and waited at the door to help me get it inside. Not a single scratch. As many reviews state – remember to keep it upright and off for 24 hours when you get it! You don’t want it breaking down on you for a preventable reason.

interior design wonky but it’s a decent refrigerator
As others have noted, the can holder is weirdly designed – American 12 fl oz soda cans are a tight fit though I haven’t had any burst on me yet. Also the shelf spacing and depth is a little weird, and a 2L bottle doesn’t quite work on both levels. All that said, having the separate freezer compartment is great, and both freezer and refrigerator work well at chilling things. Noise can be noticeable at night, but not bad, just a bit of background buzz/hum.

Good Product (with one flaw)
I put this on my porch, and everything was fine until winter. When it gets cold, this thing warms up (so the fridge doesn’t get too cold……However, this causes the freezer section to warm up above freezing (essentially turning it into a fridge).Inside, it causes no problem (but its something the buyer should be aware of).

Super quiet compact fridge
This is actually a pretty nifty little compact refrigerator and freezer combo. The freezer portion is actually larger than what I had expected. Overall, the size is bigger than your standard dorm room refrigerator (taller by about a foot). The first thing I notice is this thing is QUIET. You won’t even know it is on and I almost hear zero sound from it. Occasionally I will hear a click noise from the condenser, but nothing like the older dorm fridges with their constant hum.For the freezer section, it is large enough to hold about 8 (thicker) TV dinner boxes if that means anything to you and still has some room in the front and door for additional storage. The main refrigerator section has a light that turns on when you open the door. The freezer portion does not.The main drawback I would say is the shelf layout. I am taking away one star because of the shelves. The bottom portion of the refrigerator section has a drawer for fruits/vegetables/loose items. Above that are two smaller shelves. The layout of the shelves though is sort of cramped and cannot be adjusted. The middle section is not really tall enough to stand up a 12oz can. You can put them in sideways, but you cannot stand them up. It also has this weird contour ridge that prevents you from really using the full shelf space on the middle shelf. I end up having to randomly cram bottles or cans in sideways to get things to fix. The top shelf can hold a 12oz can of soda fine. The door has a built in can rack that can hold a 6 pack and a two liter bottle and a 20oz bottle fine. No matter what you do, it will not hold a 1 gallon jug of milk. The shelf layout just won’t accommodate it and is a shame really because this is an otherwise great refrigerator.

Can holder in door is difficult to use
Good fridge, cooled very fast and froze some stuff in the fridge until I learned what number to keep the fridge at.. you can’t put tall things in the door (they tip over when you open the door) or standing upright in the fridge.. had to lay soda/beer cans and bottles on their side or put them in the drawer.. it is a mini fridge I know but my last one had less room but I could put tall items in it.. good freezer too, comes w mini ice tray and a scraper.. now the can holder in the door is barely able to fit a 12oz soda can in it and you have to load it from the bottom which becomes increasingly difficult as you add more cans.. it actually creased a few cans to the point I thought it was going to puncture it.. I tried several ways to load it from the top and it’s impossible.. wish it was a top feed, that would make it easier..

So far so good!
Delivered, upright…in perfect shape for a heavy package (Well packaged in original manuf. boxing-only)….I let the fridge unit rest for 24 hours (Important-you have no idea if it was laid horizontally during shipping!). Fits perfect between my kitchen countertop end and dining area. Plugged in and working great to chill my necessities — beer and water…I fit 16 miller lite bottles, 18 water bottles, a red bull, 12 oz lime and 1 litre Soda in the fridge!!! Be sure to not allow anything in the fridge to touch the back wall or it will freeze! Hopefully, without an automatic frost-free feature – the unit will not to be difficult to maintain.Important!! — Stack bottled beer starting from the bottom right of the shelf (against thermostat control) as indicated in my first picture and carefully place the next layer starting from the left of the last beer below –> to avoid broken bottles!Appears to be high quality stainless steel doors- matches my other stainless appliances perfectly. Freezer is well sized – Definitely better to have 2 doors – I like to easily slip a beer or two from the fridge into the freezer door shelf for about 20 minutes and then serve Ice Cold!It would be nice if the power cord was an additional 1-2 feet, but mostly ample.I was searching for a small refrigerator/freezer with a built in icemaker, but they were ridiculous expensive. I ordered an inexpensive Stainless Steel countertop icemaker– $119.99 Euhomy Ice Maker –> to set on top of the fridge unit. Very convenient to access the ice tray at counter-top level above the fridge unit and makes ice fast….I will follow up with a more thorough review.

Super quiet — Great layout — Low running cost — Built well — DO NOT RUN FIRST 24 HOURS
Summing up — This well-designed, well-built, attractive compact fridge is unbelievably quiet, has a great layout, especially of the door, and delivers way beyond its price. Good insulation and premium door seals make it very economical in use.CAUTION — Remember to let your refrigerator sit for 24 hours before first use after installation. This essential step is to let all refrigerant drain to the bottom. Your fridge may have been transported on its side or, in my case, upside down. The separate freezer compartment gets very cold, close to zero degrees Fahrenheit even at medium settings. Such a low temperature would be impossible to achieve in a single door design. The tradeoff here is that you give up some space. The glass shelves look elegant and are well thought out. The door seals are so good that defrosting comes down to maybe once a year.(And applying an occasional light coat of vaseline on the door seals will help them last longer.)The lower door can hold regular bottles unlike so many of today’s compact refrigerator doors that only take canned soft drinks. This makes this particular refrigerator ideal for the kitchen, studio apartment or college dorm. The door hinges can be moved to the left side as I had to do.Finally, it is so quiet that you have to hold your ear close to hear it run.It comes unusually well packaged in a sturdy box, virtually eliminating the chance of damage during transport. This company cares!Energy Star-certified, energy consumption of this fridge is estimated at 220 kWh per year, $35 or so depending on where you live. Power draw is 80 Watts, but remember it runs at a low duty cycle. Actual cost varies with temperature, humidity, and how often you open it.Update 1/24 — This fridge looks and acts like new even after three years of continuous use. ‘Thrilled with this purchase.

Not the Best
I bought this fridge for my RV because of its energy efficiency and I wanted a white one which is limited. Most are black or stainless anymore.First the thermostat seems to be all over the place. I can’t seem to find a sweet spot and I’m using a thermometer to watch it and waiting 24 hours. Anything that touches the back wall freezes. I’ve owned four dorm fridges in the past and I liked other ones better. The can thing in the door is poorly designed. You have to load cans from the bottom. They won’t fit through the top. I would prefer shelves there instead. The light to the fridge flickers sometimes when the compressor is on.What I like? The freezer works well. Door seals seem good. It looks good from the outside. Package arrived quick and unharmed.

Great small fridge for the price
I live in a studio apartment and I wanted a fridge wity a freezer. This little dude definitely delivers. The inside of the fridge and freezer are a bit deeper than many models of the same cost. This is a wonderful feature if you like to cook but live in a tiny space. It also comes very nicely packaged and is super snug to unload.I also really like that it comes with an ice scraper. Scraping out the ice once a week from the freezer helps with long term use and defrosting when the time comes. This was a wonderful buy, and for the cost I am very pleased. I would definitely recommend this model over most mini fridges which have the freezer and fridge portion in the same door. I appreciate the balance of the space. I have noticed I never have to keep the fridge more cool than the medium setting on the dial. This is another wonderful feature because it keeps my food evenly cold. Overall great buy for any use.
