Great vacuum
I bought 3 different cordless stick vacuums, all around $150- this Shark Pet IX141, a Bissell Powerlifter 3789X, and a Black & Decker Powerseries Max. I tried them all and these are my comparisons:Battery life: I tested all three using the main floor attachment. The Shark lasted the longest at 27 minutes. Bissell was 18 minutes, B&D was 13 minutes. Supposedly using the handheld attachments, the battery life will last longer, but I haven’t tested that yet.Features: All three vacuums had the same attachments for the most part, the main floor head, a crevice tool, and a brush tool. The B&D came with a wall mount, which I liked, but the other two did not. The Shark does have a way to store it where you attach the handheld vacuum to the stick part, and you can plug it into the wall to charge that way. I liked that the Bissell and B&D both had removable batteries, so that was a strike against the Shark. But upon further research, you can still buy a new battery, if needed, from Bissell, or it looks like there are some generic ones out there. But hopefully it will last a while.Ease of use: The Shark felt the heaviest in my hand of the three while vacuuming. However, it does seem to have the largest dust cup, and a more powerful motor, so I thought those made the extra weight worth it. Other than that, you can push it very easily, it glides smoothly over the floors. You do have to remove the handheld vacuum to empty the dust cup, whereas the other two, you can just remove the dust cup from the vacuum to empty. But this is not a big issue for me.Over all, while I liked some of the features in the other vacuums better, this Shark had the best performance with the battery life and suction power.

Lightweight and so easy to empty. Love the light for baseboard cleanin.
I use to vaccum hardwoods and carpet. The vaccum is so easy to use. I have back issues and have no problems using this vac. I would like to have more attachments.

Fantastic so far!
We’ve had this about a month and I’d say we use it daily. Lifesaver! Zero regrets! Like others said, the only slight downfall is that it lasts about 20, 25-ish mins on high setting before it needs a recharge, so if you have several rooms to cover you might want to keep that in mind. However, for our house and needs, it works perfectly. This is such a great vaccum for the price and we are so pleased, it has made keeping up the house so much easier. Excellent at picking up tons of pet hair and that is probably it’s strongest feature. We have small children, and there are always crumbs everywhere…well, not anymore! It’s lightweight, very easy to switch from the regular floor vac to hand tools. It’s simple and not fussy. Easy to dump out and change the filter. Easy peasy to plug in and store out of the way. It’s defiantly as close to the Dyson as you can get in this price range. We just love it, I’d highly recommend this for families with pets and young children!

Pretty good, especially for the price
I spent like 10 hours researching different cordless stick vacuums. I kept going back to the Dyson but just could not bring myself to spend 600 bucks on a vacuum when I already have an iRobot and a corded Dyson ball vacuum. Onto the review:I got this today, charged it and used it for my whole house. 1) As others have noted, the suction power when attaching the brush/pet hair end is not that strong. I held down the “max” button the whole time and it did a pretty good job, but definitely drained the battery faster. 2) It is lightweight, love the flexibility of being able to go up the stairs with this and in all the nooks and crannies without the cord. It really is a gamechanger. 3) I have both a short-haired Boston terrier and a very fluffy Australian shepherd. The upholstery option (which is just like the crevice tool with a brush head) did remove some of the hair from my couch but struggled to pick up the short hair. A bit disappointing and makes me think I should have gotten the Dyson which comes with an upholstery roller head. 4) The hardwood function does pick up a lot (check the cannister you’ll be surprised) but doesn’t do an exhaustive job. 5) This is a pretty darn quiet machine, my dogs were interested but not as disturbed as with the corded vacuum or iRobot. 6) Battery life: if you’re holding down the “max” button, you’ll get 10 – 15 minutes. I haven’t tried it without using that option the whole time, I’m sure it would get longer.Overall my goal with buying this was to pick up a lot of pet hair very quickly and without having to deal with a cord. My Aussie has tumbleweeds of hair that are almost impossible to keep up with. We’re talking hair all over the baseboards, and big piles of it that somehow make there way into places that the dog doesn’t even go. I think this vacuum accomplishes what I wanted, which is the ability to run through the house very quickly and easily and pick up a load of hair. The brush head can be used to go over baseboards and pick that stuff up too. It’s easy to discard all the grime into a garbage. The ease of use means I will be much better about keeping up with all of the hair, which is a huge burden when you have to lug a big, heavy, corded vacuum around. All around, I am happy with this purchase and feel like I got a solid value-add when thinking of the modest price. Maybe in the future I’ll feel better about dropping a few hundo on the Dyson but for now, I’m happy with this buy.

This vacuum rocks!
It is the best vacuum I have owned. It is lightweight and highly manuverable to get into tighter places. I am an engineer and i can tell a lot of thought and design was put into it. It has a good suction to it and is easy to empty the container. Only drawbacks are the battery life that makes larger jobs impossible and it only vacuums in a forward motion unlike older vacuums.

Quiet, light weighted, easy to dump, thin and easy to store
I’ve had this vacuum for about a year now and there’s been no issues so far. It’s quiet enough that my cats will actually approach it and check it out, and even stay in the room to watch it as I use it. Upon first usage, it felt a bit flimsy and like it would have a weak suction, but I haven’t had any issues with vacuuming up anything from pet hair to crumbs. This is definitely a great vacuum if you’re looking for most of the features the Dyson has but don’t want to spend $400. It’s super easy to dump, just aim and press the button into the trash can. It’s very easy to store due to being a stick vacuum.

Great Purchase
So I’ve come to understand that I hate vacuuming because I hate the hassle of moving the cords. I have 4 indoor dogs that shed like crazy and the hair had become overwhelming. This little vacuum has powerful suction and has been not only a game changer for me but it has also saved my mental health. No cords. Powerful. Light weight. Will go under the furniture easily. I even vacuum the couch with it. Pet hair isn’t an issue at all. I absolutely love this vacuum. It’s simply a must have!

Very appropriate for daily tidying up and small, vacuum chores.
This is a great product that fills a niche in the daily cleaning at our house. We have two giant Newfoundland dogs and a six-year-old, so between clumps of hair and debris from little art projects. This does a great job for spot cleaning when you see something that needs to be vacuumed without dragging out the big one. it seems like the debate is always suction power versus size, weight and ease of use. I’ve got a big Bissell pet hair vacuum a second vacuum on our second floor because the dogs don’t go up there much, but I also have a massive shop vac in my garage, which will suck a bowling ball through a garden hose. If you absolutely demand that kind of power then I would go with something more commercial, But like I said, the beauty is in the fact that it fills a niche, and does it very well. I find the suction power completely adequate for what I’m asking it to do and it does a great job inside vehicles. I bought the accessory filter kit replacements so when things get totally filthy, the vacuum can be cleaned out completely. As for the pet hair, I’ve never had a vacuum that I didn’t have to take a razor knife to at least once a month cut through the hair on the brushes. if you’ve ever seen 150 pound+ Newfoundlands you’ll realize that that hair is going to be a major issue in your house. It’s not perfect but at this price point I have to say it’s the best small vacuum I’ve ever had and that includes any cordless handheld, and we’ve gotten plenty over the years. I’ve never gotten my hands on a Dyson because at that price point it’s completely out of the question. But it doesn’t seem like people that own a Dyson as a primary vacuum completely maligned this one. If you are single and live in a studio apartment, this could easily be your primary vacuum. However, with a family and pets it’s asking too much out of this machine to be, the principal cleaning tool for floors. With proper expectations, this is a fantastic product.

It’s not for every house
I’m not totally on board with this machine, but I’m also cheap and already have multiple other cleaning machines (Bisell carpet cleaner, Dyson corded vacuum, steam cleaner, corded hand held Dirt Devil, shop vac), so this machine fills a niche for cordless convenience in our house. Still, not sure that I’m totally sold on this. If you’re really looking a deep cleaner for a fully carpeted single home over 1700 sq ft and this is going to be your ONLY vacuum, I suggest going with a more expensive cordless vacuum or one with interchangeable battery pack. My aunt has the more expensive model with the bendable wand and it is a lot more powerful (and louder). She also has three spare batteries for it. If you’re just looking for a surface clean and some dusting, this does the job nicely. If you live in a 900 sq ft apartment, this will be probably be awesome if you have floor/closet space to store it. If you want the convenience of a wall mounted unit that charges on it’s mount, this is NOT it.We live in a two story townhome just under 1800sq ft. Off the bat, I wished there was more suction power. It was almost anticlimactic when I turned it on for the first time bc it was SO quiet! Second, I wish the battery lasted longer or it could be detached and switched out for a backup battery. The battery is built into the motor/ canister house and relies on a cord plugged into it to charge. I knew it was 40 minutes of battery life going in; I underestimated how much I could actually clean in 40 minutes. I’d definitely have to break up my cleaning into sessions if this is what I am relying on to clean a whole house, top down (including furniture surfaces). Third, it would’ve been nice for them to design a way for the two accessories to attach off the wand or floor nozzle so that it’s always at hand and doesn’t get misplaced. Fourth: some option to mount this on the wall, even if it has to be purchased separately, would be helpful. The pluses: It’s quiet. Low price point, especially at 50% off. Light enough my kids and use with ease. There is a light on the floor nozzle. It’s great for some quick vacuuming around the dining table since my kids eat like Cookie Monster and vacuuming is almost a must after every meal, stairs and crevices that my corded Dyson was unwieldy and troublesome with. It’ll be convenient for cars, which means our car will be cleaner more often. Also, note it only takes but a few seconds to separate the top and hang it off the wand. I don’t see it as a big deal to spare a few seconds to press a button for separation. It takes me longer to rewrap the cord back around my Dyson. The vacuum absolutely has the ability to stand upright on its own if the motor/canister is hung from the wand.Update 1/25/24: Been a few months. Loving it so far. Definitely vacuum a lot more often bc of how light and easy it is to use. Definitely wish it had more suction power, and affirms the idea if you are wanting a cordless as your sole vacuum cleaner, definitely invest in a pricier model. Also, wanted to add something as I was finally confident enough to recycle the packaging the vacuum came in: I have to point out the packaging is quite impressive as it is entirely paper based, which is such a welcome relief given the amount of plastics I get just from ordering a take out meal. Zero styrofoam and plastics in this packaging. Completely flattens down except for the two compressed paper fiber structures. Bravo to their packaging engineer.

Exactly what I needed for a 1 bedroom Apt
This cordless vacuum does the job. About what I expected for the price and after reading numerous reviews I wanted a cordless vacuum that would help with not only my vacuuming needs but that wouldHelp pick up hair from my German Shepard. The suction isn’t the most powerful, but it does the job even when you push the high suction button. It does take even more power to use that option. This is an affordable option for those that want a light duty vacuum. I have had the Dyson v11 and I would suggest that if you have a bigger house and want it to be your primary, but if you’re looking for something to do the job for a small space that doesn’t break the bank this is your vacuum.

Impressive cordless sweeper
I originally purchased a Shark cordless sweeper a couple of years ago for our 2nd home and loved it so much I decided to purchase another. Having two dogs there is always something to sweep up and being cordless the Shark is easy to grab. The only thing I wish they would improve would be the charging method. The sweeper canister does disconnect from the rest of the sweeper and hooks onto the base so it can stand on it’s own. The charger then can plug in for easy charging. I wish they would create a wall mount that it connected to for charging.Previously I had purchased a knock off cordless sweeper and it failed after a couple of months. I learned my lesson and paid the few extra bucks for the Shark.

Does the job
I love this vacuum. Been a huge Shark fan for years and have always wanted to try a cordless version, and I’m not disappointed. I’m able to vacuum all the areas and crevices in my house, the battery last long and my house is free from cat hair/dog hair.My main concern was the fur my long hair was constantly shedding, my other vacuum (a cheap dirt devil) and broom wasnt doing the job for me anymore and I finally had taken the dive to get this baby since my toddler is a dirt devil himself and my 6m will be a crawler soon- had to get something that tackled all the loose fur that wasn’t getting cleaned up and I’m so glad I did because I love this vaccuum. It’s so easy to maneuver and handle, I use it daily and my house has never looked so free of dirt and fur!!!I even vacuum my car out.. it’s that easy to remove and reattach the long hose making it a hand held. Love it!!

I don’t know if I’d brag so much as to call this a pet vac
I bought one for my office, which has hard floors, it has been wonderful for that. I can move Nuver it around the chairs under desks very easily, it’s good on staircases and on a low pile, oriental rug. I don’t know how they get off calling this a pet vacuum, though, I’ve also used it at home where I have dogs who only come in the house occasionally, but their fur is not coming up out of the carpet when I hit it with this vacuum. My cord shark vacuum does get the pet fur up. Even with a fresh charge, this thing does not have powerful enough suction to really do any good on pet hair. But I would give it five stars for hard floors. And the battery lasts long enough that I’m able to do 1200 ft.² upstairs in an airplane hanger plus come downstairs and do about another thousand square feet.

Cons: Heavier than I wanted, not super strong suction, charge lasts 20 mins maxPros: doesn’t get tangled in high pile carpet, pretty quiet, doesn’t get caught on rug corners, cordless is great for traveling from room to room, lighter than regular vacuum, easy to empty and clean

Great for small spaces
Excellent fir maneuvering in very small spaces but one still needs a full sized vac bigger jobs. Suction is okay. Won’t stand up by itself so a narrow space or a rack gor storing is ideal.

Lifesaver
This is the easiest vacuum I have ever owned. It really gets deep into carpet and does great on wood floors. I love that it will lay flat to get all the dust bunnies from under the beds. The light really shows the dirt. Battery life is great. I will be buying another one if this one ever quits. I use it daily and clean other people’s houses with it and they were very pleased at results. Shark makes it easy. It also clean out our vehicles on one charge. Has saved me alot of money at the car wash vacuum.

It’s a “meh” vacuum.
The media could not be loaded.
I’ve owned this vacuum for two months. Here’s my personal experience and opinions.. The lack of a charging base Was almost a deal breaker for me and remains of My bigger pet peeves with this vacuum. Unless you’ve got a place 2 Prop it up or wedge it, you have to take the vacuum Apart In order for it to stand up freely while charging. as you see in the video, It is too top heavy to charge In a standing position Unless you have it Propped up against your wall, and then you are risking It’s scratching the wall. My other pet peeve with the vacuum is that even though it is designed For use with animals, and I’m assuming that means vacuuming up pet hair, The Vacuum tends to get clogged extremely Easily. We only have one indoor cat , our cat does not shed very much at all. Most of what is being vacuumed up comma And clogging the vacuum, is smaller bits and pieces of paper or Band-Aids or what have you That my kids vacuum up period stuff they can easily vacuum up with my Dyson, And even the Oarfield that I owned before this, But stuff that for some reason Gets clogged in the suction tube of this vacuum and then When you proceed to vacuum up small bits and pieces of say Dirt or debris or in our case cat litter, It either just continues to pick it up and spit it back out on the floor , or you have to turn the vacuum cleaner off turn it upside down Pull out of it whatever is clogging it And then proceed period It’s a bit of a pain comma and as I said earlier comma I find myself having to do this regularly which is something I’ve not had to do with my other vacuums before period Since I have kids comma maybe this isn’t the most kid-friendly vacuum period They were able to use my other ones just fine Comments so I’m just saying dot dot dot It does seem to have decent suction power comma and when nothing is clogging the intake on it comma it does a fairly decent job of vacuuming both hard Surfaces and carpet. However, it does have a hard time getting into the corners and right up against baseboards. We have engineered hardwood in our house and ceramic tile in the bathrooms and throw rugs In the main living areas and it can get them Clean fairly quickly. Our home downstairs is just over 2000 square foot and I haven’t run the battery dead yet, so it’s got good battery life. One of the other things that is a bit inconvenient is the fact that you have to again disassemble the vacuum to empty the dirt canister, which means you’re using two hands and having to prop up the bottom piece of the vacuum while you dump the canister that’s attached to the top piece. My personal opinion, I wouldn’t buy it again. I paid much less for my orfeld, I paid I think $124.99 for this on Black Friday and about 89.99 for my orfeld a couple years ago. The oilfield doesn’t have as good section power as this one does but it has a charging base and it doesn’t seem as inconvenient to use.

Works great for Ruggable rugs
Finally I’ve found a wireless vacuum that vacuums up the cat and dog hair off my ruggable rug. I wish it came with a wall mount. The battery life is decent but the best part is that it fully charges in like 2-3 hours tops. It gets the job done and I’m pleased.

It doesn’t suck.
Normally it’s a good thing but not when you’re a vacuum. The Shark rechargeable pet vacuum has been put to the test by my husky. Its always poor suction has gotten worse and now the motor is making a new noise. Maybe it’s meant for pets without hair. I mean sharks don’t have hair, right?

Good for small messes
First off let me start off by saying if you’re looking for a cordless vacuum to replace your corded one this isn’t for you. With that being said though, this is the perfect vacuum for small messes or just a quick touch up. Where this shines for me personally is around my cats litter box. I don’t have to get the big corded vacuum out for just a small spot. It sucks up the litter fast and quite well. I can tell it doesn’t clean as deep as my corded one. This is more for surface debris not for cleaning a high traffic area where things might be embedded into the carpet more. If you keep that in mind you’ll love this vacuum. It’s quality is good, the battery life is more than enough to touch up spots throughout the house, and it’s weight is very easy to maneuver.

Weak compared to a dyson
Lightweight and easy to handle. It does what I got it to do (quick daily cleanup of cat litter on solid floors) but its very weak suction compared to a Dyson that I’ve used before. Definitely a good product, especially for the price, just don’t expect it to do much heavy work.

Well that didn’t go as I wanted it
I ordered this because the product description said that it was self standing. I used it 3 times, 1 being today, and then well now it isn’t self standing. Amazon did give me a partial refund, but I am going to contact Shark directly, as they will help me further. I have always used Shark and they back thier products.Other then the self standing issues, I love it. So much better then my bigger one, and I don’t have to use an extension chord to vacuum. It does my whole house in 1 charge. It also charges super fast too.

I really wanted to love this vacuum, but the suction wasn’t nearly what I was looking for. The battery life was a lot shorter than I thought it would be. Mostly good
Purely as a vacuum, I can’t really find anything to complain about. Suction is great and the brush head is very powerful.Ergonomically it leaves a bit to be desired. It DOES NOT free stand and it DOES NOT have a wall mount. There are rubber pads on the back that are supposed to sufficiently grip a flat surface so you can lean the vacuum against the wall, but they can’t be trusted and eventually your brand new vacuum will fall and break the dust bin. With the intent to either lean the vacuum against the wall or stow the head in the lower position on the stick, it’s baffling to me why the charging cable is shrouded and points back towards the stick or the wall. It’s tiny and very difficult to insert and remove.

Strong suction!!!!
The run time is okay BUT It charges fast!! Way faster than my tasvac. I love being able to unlatch the top and it attaches to the bottom for an easy storage. I think the run time is a little less because I’ve been using the max suction a lot on carpet since I got it. Best of all— THE SUCTION is insane for a cordless vac!!! My tasvac does nothing to the carpet, even on max suction but this shark leaves carpet lines (see pic) I have been using it on my stairs everyday for a quick refresh. I put it on the carpet setting and pull the max pull and it gets everythinggggg! I have a corded shark vac too and it meets the suction on my corded vac. Shark makes the very best vacuums in my opinion! You can’t go wrong with this one, I promise! I got it because I googled best selling vac 2023 and this one was #1. I clicked the link and ordered it on sale for $150.

Decent little vacuum
This vacuum is great for daily messes. It’s light weight which I needed for lugging up and down the stairs at my house. I only have two real complaints- the suction is not much better than my robot vacuum (might even have less suction) I haven’t tried to vacuum up a large mess yet like cat litter or popcorn but I would be surprised if it picked it up as it struggles to suck up small things like a tiny piece of fabric. It also can’t get close to edges and it isn’t an easy swap to use the handle hose like my old vacuum. Overall a decent vacuum for the price but not good for deep cleaning.

I LOVE this vacuum!
My husband purchased this for me in December of 22 as a birthday gift. I was initially not thrilled with a vacuum b-day gift. But, I have really come around! I LOVE the convenience of this vacuum. I have a dust mite allergy and it does a great job of getting up dust in our kitchen, entry, and halls–all wood floors. It also works on carpet, but I especially love how it works on the wood. It is as easy as grabbing the broom and doesn’t “kick up the dust or dog hair or onion skins” the way my broom does. It is also really easy to maneuver around things. We’ve since purchased 2 more as gifts (my father-in-law and adult child love them too)!!!

Wife loved it!
Got this for her birthday, she loves this thing! The battery could last longer, but overall it works great the light weight flexibility comes in handy. She even takes it with her to clean the Church!

Lightweight and easy to use!
Just received my new shark vacuum yesterday and have already used in every room of my house! I love, it’s super light weight, the full charge lasted approx. 40 minutes could have lasted longer but I put it on high suction for a good portion of it. Only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is when vacuuming my carpet stairs the handheld attachments didn’t seem to be pickup great on the carpet, maybe I need to just figure out a better combination of suction and attachment but otherwise so far so good! With a toddler and a black labs who sheds like crazy this is gonna be a life saver!

Makes vacuuming fast
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I feel like the suction is lacking some on hardwood floors. It picks up pretty much everything on carpet. Lightweight and the swivel head makes it easy to get into different tight spaces. Really easy to take off and attach the different heads. Wish the battery lasted longer.

Love this thing!
This replaced the first one I had for years (which I broke), and they’ve actually improved it! It now has a hook on the lower 1/2 that you can store the top 1/2 on while it’s charging. Brilliant!! Great suction, picks up a ton of pet hair, and works on hard wood floors or carpet. Got a pet? Get this thing!!!

Heavy
This vacuum is amazing! Does a great job at cleaning up pet hair. Great battery life. It’s so nice to be able to clean up a quick mess without having to pull out my large, bulky vacuum! Only downside is that this vacuum is much heavier than other similar options

Great product, thoughtful packaging (but poorly shipped by Amazon with no cushioning).
Very happy! The product itself is VERY thoughtfully packaged: all parts were individually wrapped in heavyweight paper packages made just for that part, and all parts fit neatly together inside the box with cardboard separators. ZERO plastic or styrofoam!!! ZERO plastic adhesive tape! Even the outside package tape was adhesive paper. THANK YOU Shark for making 100% of the packaging from recyclable paper and NOT making me clean up little bits of styrofoam and plastic from my home after unpacking.Easy to assemble, in total the unpacking and assembly took less than ten minutes. Directions were easy to understand. It arrived with a charge so I ran it in my kitchen and den carpet and it did a terrific job, picking up a more dust and lint than I realized was there. I live in a 2 bedroom 1800 Sq. Ft. condo with mostly tile floors and some area rugs, and this will be perfect. For a bigger home, you may want a bigger vacuum. If this malfunctions I’ll update this review, but so far it looks like a good purchase. The Black Friday sale provided the motivation to purchase this after needing a new vacuum for around a year.Amazon, this part is for you: My ONLY complaint is not Shark’s fault, it’s Amazon’s fault for throwing it into a huge box with an Instapot with zero packaging so these two heavy appliances would bang around in this big box during shipping and delivery – even some brown paper crumpled up would have provided helpful cushioning. See attached photo as it looked when I opened the box. Had Shark not packed it so well in their own box, it probably would have been damaged.

Love this vacuum!
Really impressed with how well the vacuum works and stays charged. Really good quality for the price and works extremely well! A little on the heavier side but worth it for the extra battery life and efficiency at cleaning the house!
