Pretty great for work!
Honestly really good work boots, but they do get a little uncomfortable (at least for me) on the big toes and have caused them to blister, I bought toe caps so I don’t get blisters anymore and the boots work like a charm for any occasion!

Comfortable
Bought these for my husband’s job as an assistant conductor. Apparently these are allowed to be worn. My husband has to wear them daily and thankfully they’re very comfortable. He bought another pair from wolverine. Although they’re a good brand my husband did not find them comfortable at all.

Do not believe the note about “True to size” – they run 1/2 size large, and Timberland says so
Recently my podiatrist and I agreed my shoe size had changed from 8 1/2 wide to 9 wide. I ordered this boot in a 9 wide, and it’s HUGE on me. Then I ordered the 8 1/2 wide and put them side by side, and there is a very significant difference in the length of the sole.I just spoke directly to Timberland, and the first thing they said is these boots run 1/2 size large, which is exactly my experience. I do see that many Amazon customers say it fits as it should, but in my case, my foot was swimming in the 9 wide, and will end up being comfortable in the 8 1/2 wide once the boot is broken in a bit.,

My favorite work boots
I do construction and am on my feet all day . I like that the come in wide sizes. Always comfortable straight out of the box . They are waterproof wich is great sometimes I end up working outside in the rain and my feet stay dry.

Available online in “wide!”
My son has been wanting to get a pair of Timberland Pros for a very long time. Unfortunately, his feet are wide, and the brick-and-mortar stores do not offer his size in the wide option. I discovered them on Amazon and ordered a pair in his size (10.5W), they fit perfectly.

COMFORT UNKNOWN IN A WORK BOOT.
Still breaking them in before the summer hiking season. Fit is wonderful like a fine leather glove.

Impressed
Very comfortable, warm, lots of traction, and WIDE. I got this in a 9 wide and the amount of toe room I get is impressive. My only downside is that there is no speed lace so pulling on these boots can be more tedious than other boots

Tad expensive
These boots have a bit of a lift to them so I feel like I’m wearing heels. Feet a little sore at the end of the day and I added a sole insert. The steel toe is nice so my toes are protected from the metal that I kick. Seems to be pretty waterproof. Haven’t had any issues slipping on the floors at my work. It’s a little sad how hard it is to find a BLACK PAIR of shoes so I settled for boots. I think for all the features it’s a bit expensive but if they last a while it’ll be worth it I suppose.

Great looks, good verstility
These boots in this color can be used for casual outings, business casual attire, and of course for outdoor work/labor.With the insulation inside they are a little tight if you use thicker socks (for now in the winter time) and my mistake was not ordering the wider version of them. However, once broken in and wearing regular socks, then they are pretty comfortable for all day use.

Very nice
These are my sons second pair of Timberlands. He loves the fit and firmness they provide on his delicate feet. These are very sturdy and will last a long time. Just protect them with fabric suede spray and you are good.

Great boot. Very comfortable. Needs a pull loop
Stylish, rugged, well-made, solid, very comfortable. Surprisingly missing a pull loop on back top of boot to help pull on. With a high ankle, that’s important and very helpful. My only complaint only wearing them twice.

Wonderful
Beautiful Timbs! Came faster than expected and they look better in person than in the picture. Only down side is, I am size 11 and they do run a tad small but it’s not uncomfortable by any means just worth mentioning.

A good boot
These boots are okay. They are little loose on the heel, and don’t tighten very well even after adjusting the laces. I ordered a size according to my shoe size and while my foot is secure my heel not so much. If possible I’d recommend going a half size down and returning if it doesn’t work out for you. I unfortunately learned this a little too late, and will be using this boot for work until I can get a new one, which according to reviews will be awhile as I’ve read they last for a long time!I did add an insole to compensate for the size difference however and so far it seems to workout. I’ve always wanted timberland boots, soI’m still trying to make them work for me. I don’t wear for style, mostly for work.

These are sized smaller than you’re normal shoe size!
First off, I love these boots. I don’t work in the oil field anymore or drive trucks. So I went with the non steal toe version, I also bought them more for looks and thus went with black. Now for sizes, my feet are around 12.7″, so I buy a size 14 shoe. Thankfully I was in a store shopping for these before I ordered them online. I tried on a 13 and it felt like the boot was going to slide off my foot, laced and all. Then I tried a 12 since they didn’t have a 12.5, again, the boot felt loose but not as much. Unfortunately, the store didn’t have a 11.5″, but we was pretty sure that is where I was at with these boots. So i got home and ordered a pair. And just like we thought, the 11.5″ boots fit perfect! So ya, I would at least subtract a size from what you normally wear and try that on first. Other than that, I love these boots!

Cheaper laces than before / Odd sizing
I bought these for a second time, 1 year later, which is about how long mine lasted before splitting near the front. Probably more like 11 months to be exact. I’ve had shoes that lasted much longer to be honest, so I’m not hugely impressed with 11 months. But anyways, what really irks me is that my new ones have significantly cheaper laces. It’s not even a comparison. Objectively worse. Thin and smooth texture as opposed to the older ones which were thick and rugged texture. I hate this, because the laces don’t hold the shape I want while tying, which means manually holding the laces that much more while I tie, as opposed to some of the work being offset by thicker laces getting snug on the eyelets. Now it’s manually holding the laces or it won’t be a snug fit. Guess that means using the old laces or buying replacements. So they clearly cheapened out on the laces.Second thing worth mentioning, is that the sizing is definitely a bit odd. I normally wear size 10. I bought size 10 for my first pair a year ago. It felt too snug in certain places, while being too loose in others. This time, I tried a 9.5, and it fit me better than the 10. But what’s crazy, is that the areas that felt snug on the 10, feel normal on the 9.5. You would think it would maintain the same shape in all the areas but just be smaller for a 9.5 vs 10, but that is not the case. The shoe is shorter, yes, but the circumference of certain areas isn’t affected by the size difference at all. So it seems they are only shortening the length for sizes, not anything else. I don’t know if that is the industry standard practice, but worth mentioning. I can’t say if that inconsistency is maintained throughout the entire sizing lineup, or if they eventually reshape it as you go down or up a full size or two, but it at least seems true for half sizing differences.Otherwise, I do like the boot. If they could do one thing better it would be to use real stitching all the way around the sole instead of just glue. This is probably the best real non-slip boot you can buy right now if you need actual, real non-slip boots and not just the ones claiming to be. But bear in mind, Timberland does not make the non-slip soles for these boots. They have a contract with SR Max who makes the nonslip soles. They ship SR Max boots with no soles, and SR Max adds them on. The lacing downgrade is probably per Timberland themselves, not SR Max. The lack of a stitching on the sole could be SR Max’s decision. SR Max should consider upgrading the laces before selling and stitching the soles in addition to gluing and we’d have a true winner.P.S. I don’t know why more of the big name brands don’t issue shoes with proper non-slip soles (like SR Max soles). Huge gap in this market segment, IMO. These big companies are kind of foolish if you think about it. The demand for true nonslip shoes is HUGE. That market is currently dominated by generic looking shoes like ShoesForCrews or Walmart specials…but people want name brand shoe models, not generics. And they don’t really want middle-of-the-road brands like Skechers either (whose nonslip is subpar compared to SR Max, and actually, I slipped a few times wearing modern Skechers; old ones were decent). This Timberland Pro + SR Max is the closest thing you can get to name brand + true non slip… another one is the Dr. Martens boots + SR Max (I tried them, they look nice, really nice, but they are not comfortable at all; no foam or padding inside). As for justifying the 2-star review. Honestly, I am upset about the laces being downgraded from my pair a year ago. For that reason alone I knock off 2 stars. If they were to remedy this situation I might bump it up to 4 stars. But I am pretty sure this is Timberland’s doing, not SR Max’s.
